Cottage vacation rentals in Gettysburg

My boyfriend and I had a great cozy weekend away at Monika’s! House was as described and we loved using the fireplace. If it wasn’t for rain/snow we would have used the fire pit as well. Monika was also nice enough to leave us some fresh local donuts that were amazing!

Holly was an incredible host. She was very responsive and friendly. Her place was perfect! This house had everything you could imagine, a fire pit with high quality chairs surrounding it, a front porch with high quality rocking chairs, a very clean living space, comfortable beds with clean linens and a nice updated bathroom with toiletries provided. I can’t say enough great things about our stay here. If we come back to Lake Raystown, we will be looking for this house again.

A cozy in-law apartment in a detached former garage. In the country, but only 10 minutes or so from downtown Harrisburg, and easy access to the interstate. Hosts were very friendly and responsible, helping me right awaywhen I accidentally locked myself out. Very pet-friendly. A great stay.

We really enjoyed our time sitting on the back deck. The weather was perfect! It was close enough to Penn State for our whole family to stay and celebrate my son’s graduation.

This was a beautiful cabin. Very peaceful and quiet. It was exactly as they described it. The host was very responsive with questions I had. They even left fresh baked cookies for us! We definitely would recommend if you are looking for a quiet getaway and we will be booking again in the future.

This is a great spot for a quick overnight or for a longer term stay, for the right person. This was not my first Airbnb stay, but it was my first stay that involved sharing a house with multiple people and having a common shared bathroom, kitchen, living room, patio, etc. It was comfortable but I’ve realized I need a little more privacy and quiet time. I’m an early to bed person, and that can be hard when sharing living spaces with strangers that might be on a different schedule. Great location convenient to major highways but also tucked back into the country.

Heather was a wonderful host. Her rental was exactly as described, but was more spacious than depicted in the photos. It is a comfortable and homey house which I recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area.

this is truly a great place to stay if in the area and looking . it is a beautiful home with all the amenities we could hope for . we were in town for the week on a job in Altoona and this was the perfect relaxing mtn when the job was done ea day. the property mgr is great as well- extremely helpful . thanks for the hospitality , I will def refer anyone traveling the area to give your place a stay

Would recommend to stay in the woods

The property we stayed in was absolutely beautiful and offered fantastic views of the river and surrounding areas. The house itself was very well maintained and offered a great outdoor area with the hot tub. Josh and Nicole were extremely accommodating and were absolutely fantastic hosts, would completely recommend them and staying on one of their properties.

We enjoyed our stay. We had s’mores over fire out one night. Wood was supplied. Plenty of towels Having one bathroom was not as convenient for 5 people but we enjoyed our stay. Grandkids enjoyed park across street. I would recommend. House was clean. Enjoyed coffee bar.

We had a great time! It was so nice to find a place that offered handicap accessible bathroom. Wish there was a fire pit. Great outdoor area. Can’t wait to come back!!

The views are excellent, and the house was perfect for our group. It is a home that fills lived in and loved - not a minimalist airbnb-only rental. We had a great time exploring gettysburg and drinking wine while watching the sunset. The hottub worked and was great for chilly nights. We loved our stay!

This place was very nice for our trip. plenty of space inside, outside has a very nice back patio and fire pit, nice and quiet location, not too far from Gettysburg. When I had questions, I had answer very soon after. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to visit Gettysburg or surrounding areas.

WOW! What an amazing air bnb and property! Dawn was a great host and very attentive to our needs and great to talk with. We had dogs with us and were able to use the trails around the property to run them. I cannot wait to come back!

This little home was perfect! It was clean and beautifully decorated. The showers were amazing. It was nice that they supplied shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, & a hairdryer. The fenced in backyard was so nice and huge. It is by far our favorite AirB&B house. We plan on staying here again in the future 🩷

Jen's place was clean, comfortable, quiet and well stocked. It truly felt like our "home away from home". We stayed here when our daughter had twins and due to unexpected circumstances we needed to extend our stay...2 times. Jen's communication, response time to messages and her willingness to help is the best I have ever experienced on Airbnb. We loved our weekend in Mercersburg! Chip and Angela were terrific to work with. The cottage is adorable and the scenery is gorgeous! We loved the outdoor fireplace and feeding the horses. It was a wonderful weekend.

Our stay here was extremely wonderful, the home was clean and comfortable. It had everything we could possibly need down to fishing rods. ( you should add a tackle box so that guest can add to it before they leave.) The host was very responsive and accommodating, she suggested ideas and activities during our stay. We have to come back to Carlie Pa a few more times and hope to have this place again.

We had an amazing time at the River House! We were in town for a wedding and to visit family. After living/traveling in our camper for the last 2 years, it was so nice to stretchout! We had 4 beautiful sunsets, including after a family BBQ on the deck. We had everything in the kitchen we needed to make food. The bathroom is beautiful. The comfy couch and fireplace made the evenings so nice. The neighbors on both sides brought us homemade goodies and made us feel right at home. Our dog Lily made friends with LILY the pug next door. We will always try to stay at the River House in future visits to PA. We can’t wait to come back! Thank you so much for sharing your special place with us!

The house was so uniquely quaint! It was truly a time to unwind from the craziness of this world! No TV other than in the upstairs bedroom and no Wi-Fi, which made it so nice to “unplug”! The sauna was absolutely amazing! The two options of fire pits to relax and have s’mores! The fireplace in the main living room was such an added bonus, to take the chill off in the morning and to just have a nice fire in the evening before bed. The fact that they had food there for us for breakfast was truly amazing! A bottle of wine to share, which was great considering we were there for our anniversary. You can get to so many places within 20 to 40 minutes! We went into Harpers Ferry for dinner at the Rabbit Hole! Harpers Ferry is a must to visit if you are in the area! Tons of trails, white water rafting and things to see and do are all just a short drive away. If you want a place to truly unwind, this is it! 🥰
