Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Gentilly, New Orleans

The apartment is in a great location and was perfect for our needs. It’s a well appointed space and it felt like home for our brief 2 night visit. Will definitely try to stay here again for one of our many visits to New Orleans.

Mandie’s place was just as described,it was very clean and the bed was comfortable.She was very responsive, one of the best places I’ve stayed definitely would come back again.

This was an awesome place for me to stay. It was really clean, the hosts were very communicative and regularly checked on me to make sure everything was great. I would love to stay in this house again whenever I come back home to visit. The neighborhood was so peaceful, I was able to just sit and reflect sitting outside on the porch enjoying the sunlight and ambiance in the mornings. 5 stars!

Aimee and Klass have the perfect spot for your NOLA trip. The space is large, open and comfortable. It was a great place to hang out after a busy day as well as great for taking a break between excursions. The space was impeccable and had everything we needed! The location is top notch, too! There are tons of local shops and cafes in walking distance and the neighborhood is quiet and beautiful. Aimee and Klass were the friendliest hosts, always reaching out to make sure we were having a great stay. I will definitely stay here again next time I’m in New Orleans.

We enjoyed our stay -this is a safe, quiet location and a clean comfortable property. We had coffee on the front porch swing and backyard while our son was sleeping, the amenities are stocked just right, and Christina was a friendly accommodating host. We’d come back again. Highly recommend. The only issue to know about is the layout, where 1 bedroom must walk through the other bedroom to get to the bathroom…if you don’t mind that.

The house was extremely comfortable and a short uber to all tourist attractions.

Great Stay, Pretty Quiet Area, Close to a lot of the night scenes and food. Didn’t have any issues with parking but it is first come first serve. Overall Great stay would definitely stay again !!

Hunter's place is lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed our trip. Some previous guests complained about the train noise, but this was minimal during our stay and not an issue. Bus is 1.5 blocks away and the bus pass is cheap and easy. Can save the uber for late nights. Plus there are plenty of great eateries w/o heading to the Quarter. We loved it. Might need a new battery in the fan remote and a table lamp in the LR. Also, would be nice to see the floor plan in the listing. It wouldn't work for everyone. You have to walk through both BRs to get to the bathroom. Was not a problem for us. Very clean. Smelled great. Nice backyard space. Comfy furnishings all around. Would definitely stay again. The place was amazing!! I got married in New Orleans and stayed here and we arrived with a beautiful card and a little present from the host! The host was so responsive and personable definitely one of the best Airbnb stays I have had and was a huge part of our special weekend!

Great place! Very comfortable and the hosts were accommodating and responsive. We frequent New Orleans often and were in town for Jazz Fest this time, which is easily walkable from here. This is a fun little neighborhood to check out and we were glad for a reason to stay here!

Stayed here as we were passing through the state and looking for a quick but potent New Orleans experience. Adam’s home was the perfect combination of comfortable amount of space for three people, a location with plenty of options for food and entertainment, within walking distance or a short drive, and relaxation with a relatively quiet neighborhood feel. We felt safe and the parking was available right out the front door which were big pluses for us. The home was well stocked and the communication with the hosts was the cherry on top. Exceptional!

If you want to be in an area that is quiet but easy to get to the French Quarter this is the place. First, the area has restaurants and couple markets very close in case you need something. Also, just walking 2 or 3 blocks you can get to the Art Museum, the City Park and the Cafe Du Monde in there. Exactly there is the stop for the streetcar (trolley) to the French Quarter. Second, the house! WOW! Is so beautiful, Mathilde decorate and organize the house in a way that you really feel welcome and at home. She thinks about every little detail in the kitchen, in the bathroom. She left there treats and drinks for us that we really appreciate and valued. Third, if you did not have time to plan what to do, goodness, she has a guide with everything you can do in NOLA and many flyers, magazines and books. Is so far, one of the best places I been where the host really think about details to make happy the visitors. My husband, my dog and I felt great and her communication was above and beyond!

Layla was such a lovely host! She went above and beyond to help me celebrate my friend’s birthday, including helping me coordinate a cake delivery and even setting it up prior to our arrival AND setting up extra decorations (without me knowing - how sweet)! She also was extremely responsive prior and throughout. The space was very clean and well thought out, and even though it’s below where the family lives, it felt very private. We felt safe and cared for. I’d highly recommend this space!

Shirley and Minka are very detailed in their description of finding the place and how to check in and check out. Everything was a described. They send instructions and details a few days earlier than when you arrive, which is great! I loved that there were places they recommended for shopping and eating. Wonderful hosts. I will stay again if they'll have me back. Thank you so much!

Laura's place was perfect for our recent visit to New Orleans. It is in a quiet neighborhood with great restaurants within walking distance. We never had a problem finding a place to park. The kitchen had everything we needed, the bed was comfortable and the place was very clean. We will definitely be staying there again.

Awesome neighborhood with lots of great food/drink options. Extremely walkable to all popular locations. Loved the high ceilings inside as well as the sliding doors to separate the sleeping area. Very attentive host.

I had a family emergency and had to fly into the area (30miles out of N.O.). My last night I decided to stay close to MSY due to projected higher than normal TSA wait times (7am flight). Stayed here for 1-night and I will return whenever I’m in N.O. Roughly less than 10mins from the airport. The unit was clean, private, and safe!

We had an amazing stay at Kimberley’s condo during our recent trip to New Orleans! The space was absolutely perfect—clean, cozy, and fully stocked with everything we needed. It was incredibly comfortable for both myself and my wife, and felt like a true home away from home. The location couldn’t have been better. The neighborhood was super walkable and just a short stroll from all the action on Frenchmen Street, plus tons of great bars, restaurants, and music spots. We were able to explore so much of the city on foot, which made our trip even more enjoyable. Kimberley was a fantastic host from start to finish. She was kind, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. She made special accommodations for us and always responded quickly and warmly to any questions we had. Her hospitality truly made our stay memorable. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again next time we’re in town. Highly recommend!

This was our second time staying in Joseph's place, and we would definitely stay there again. We love the location on Esplanade, which is an easy walk to either the French Quarter or Frenchman Street. There's a 24-hour bodega right next door that is well-stocked and friendly. Joseph offers a parking pass which makes all the difference for people like us who love the option of having a car to explore other parts of the City. The condo was comfortable and pretty, with the extra bonus of a balcony overlooking Esplanade. This is a second-floor unit so there are stairs to the entrance; there are also stairs to the bedroom and bathroom, but there's a half bath on the main floor which is very convenient. We're both used to stairs so it didn't bother us a bit. In all, we highly recommend Joseph as a host and his condo as an excellent choice for an Airbnb.

This is a lovely spot in a great location, right on Magazine street in the heart of the Garden District. Walkable, with restaurants, coffee shops and sweet shady neighborhood streets showcasing New Orleans' architecture. The space itself was exactly like the photos - very stylish, comfortable, clean and well-appointed. Jo Ann was very accomodating, responsive and an excellent host. It was a fun stay for our first trip to NOLA and we're glad to have had the chance to experience it.
