Im Ort Gillrath befindet sich der Bahnhof der historischen Dampfeisenbahn. Es gibt viele Möglichkeiten für Fahrradtouren, Wanderungen und Ausflüge, mehrere Naherholungsgebiete sind in der Nähe, ebenso die holländische Grenze.

We hebben genoten van dit mooie, rustige en ruime appartement. Het heeft een fijne eetkeuken en in de avond hebben we een vuurtje gemaakt in de houtkachel. De slaapkamers en badkamers zijn ruim met een fijne douche en een groot ligbad. Ook kun je buiten fijn zitten met uitzicht op de binnenplaats. Bij aankomst werden we vriendelijk ontvangen door Peter en ook Ramona hebben ontmoet. Ze hebben de plek met veel aandacht en zorg ingericht. Het aangrenzende Erzählcafé is een bezoek waard. Je kijkt je ogen uit en er is vanalles te koop (net als in het appartement) en de taarten zijn verrukkelijk. Vanuit het appartement kun je een mooie wandeling lamgs de beek en over de velden maken. Ramona en Peter, bedankt voor de hartelijk ontvangst en verwennerij. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt en kommen gerne wieder. Bas dahin alles Gute, mach so weiter und viel Glück. Angelika ist eine tolle Gastgeberin. Die Kommunikation war reibungslos und sie war sehr zuvorkommend. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber und hat eine schöne ruhige Lage mit viele Möglichkeiten in der Nähe. Immer wieder gerne! :)
