Eclectic Uptown Apt | Blocks to Magazine Street

Mary AnnRating, 5 stars1 month ago
David checked in everyday to make sure everything was great..his cute place is “squeaky clean”, I’m kinda compulsive so I notice that stuff! I especially appreciated the washer/dryer in unit since I had another stop before heading home. Kitchen well stocked, linens fluffy, bed comfy. Would stay here again! Be sure to check out the taco joint up the street..sooo good!

Our stay at Katherine's home was wonderful. Close to Magazine Street which has several stores and eateries. A short Lyft ride into the French Quarter. The home had everything we needed. We greatly appreciated Katherine's quick responses and flexibility on early check-in and allowing us to keep our luggage at the home until our evening flight. Thank you so much!!

We had a wonderful stay at Don’s place. The unit looks and feels nicer than the pictures, and Don was excellent at communication anytime we had questions or requests. I also want to note how comfortable the bed is - definitely stood out from all the AirBnB spots we’ve stayed at. We would definitely come back!

Steven's spacious, loft-like Airbnb is very well-appointed and has everything you need. In addition, you can walk -- or take a very short Lyft -- to all of the NOLA attractions. I had a great stay and plan to rebook the next time I'm in the Big Easy.

Parlour Nola: Historic Shotgun House

JileenRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Not only was this Airbnb one of the most gorgeous and thoughtfully curated that I’ve ever stayed in, but Miranda truly went above and beyond to make us feel at home! Upon arrival, she met us at the property to greet us and had candles lit, lamps on and music was softly playing in the kitchen where chocolates awaited alongside a list of “local favorites.” The space was clean and so well decorated, it felt more like a retreat. Miranda also was sure to check in to make she we had everything we needed! Every detail felt intentional and beautiful. The location was also perfect and we were able to walk to some delicious restaurants and shops. I could sing my praises forever!

Had a lovely time in this amazing space. It was huge! The decor is great, tall ceilings, and they even have a large collection of vinyl. Plus, the hosts were very gracious and helpful when prompted with questions. Whole Foods was only 15 min stroll from the home and was a nightly stop. And the bead shop down the street was also amazing. The vibe was right, the local businesses were a delight, and the time was well spent. Highly recommend.

Brooke was very friendly and flexible. We had the chance to chat with her in person a few times during our stay and she was great. The home had everything we needed and was completely private from her home. There were constant lizard and butterflies outside on the porch which was lovely to relax in.

The location was perfect for us, we were in town for Jazzfest. Lenin and Daniel were both responsive and had great recommendations. The bed could be a bit more firm but that is my preference. The house had a fantastic restaurant on the corner, Luvi! It's a quaint and cute place, perfect for a couple's weekend!

Earthy Paradise - Historic Shotgun off Magazine

SeanRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Giuliano let me check in early and met me at the house. He was as friendly and helpful in person as he had been on text (i.e. very) and walked me through everything I needed to know about the place, from the air conditioners to which light switches governed what, the locks, all of it. I don't always like to intersect with my Airbnb host but in this case there were several facets to the place that would have been trickier to figure out on own. So that first little "tutorial" was hugely valuable. Plus Giuliano is warm presence who was just nice to be around during our brief little interaction. I'll definitely want to stay there again someday :)

Best Magazine Street Block - Walk to FQ!

CraigRating, 5 stars3 days ago
We traveled to New Orleans with our two adult sons for some family time together. The location of the cottage was excellent. It was an easy walk to Bourbon St. and the French Quarter. However, we really liked the vibe of the Magazine St. area. There were plenty of restaurants and shops to check out, and it had more of a neighborhood feel (not quite as touristy). Parking was not an issue, and overall, the neighborhood felt very safe. The cottage was a wonderful space for us to hang out. It was very clean and well-appointed. It exceeded our expectations. Scott was super responsive to the few questions we had.

We had a wonderful stay and everything was as described. The location is perfect for being close to public transit and many great restaurants. There is some street noise throughout the night, but that is expected when staying right in the heart of everything. Would definitely recommend for anyone planning to stay in the area.

1808 on famous Magazine Street pets parking

StephanieRating, 5 stars8 months ago
This was one of the comfortable airbnbs we have stayed in. Spacious apartment and the shower was large and beautiful with fantastic water pressure and temperature. Memory foam mattress and lovely pillows (not flat, not feather, not super thick!!!). Appreciated having a water boiler to make tea easily. The TV was a bit outdated and small, but did the job. Great communication with Jim. We loved waking up to the sound of singing, happy birds outside! ***this review above is for before our last night there, which we couldn't stay because a fire burnt the house severely and ruined almost all of our belongings with water and smoke...clothes, shoes, electronics, makeup, etc. But this is not the fault of the owner and I feel terrible for him, and for us, and wanted to write a review on how great the stay was before this tragedy.

We stayed here while we were in town for Tulane's graduation weekend. Despite being on Magazine Street, the unit is actually very quiet and peaceful. The weather was very warm and we enjoyed the backyard and pool. We did not cook but the kitchen is well stocked. The beds were comfortable, bathrooms were nice. and unit was clean. Photos accurately represent unit. Craig was very responsive when we had a question.

Couldn't be happier with this location. Its close enough to walk or take a 10 minute rideshare, but far enough away from the hectic New Orleans nightlife when you are ready to wind down. Would recommend this location to anyone looking to travel to New Orleans. WWII museum is a 5 minute walk. Great time and great memories made.

this property was modern and beautiful! it was open, white and gave a majestic feeling. the long entry hallway was some5hing from a movie. two of the bedrooms had balconies. as well as ceiling to floor windows expanding from the dining room to the living room. The views from all are gorgeous. The location was amazing as it was about a 15 min walk to Bourbon street and many of the tourists locations. The host was responsive, as well. usually within 5 mins of an inquiry. Overall, I would highly recommend this apartment if you're going to be in town amd want to stretch out in comfort.
