House vacation rentals in Franklin

Well, my husband and I have stayed there on and off for the last six months for local work, so we know the place well. Sadly, our project has come to an end, so our most recent stay will be our last for work. BUT, we love everything about Todd and Barbie and the house, and we will be back for fun hiking weekends. Hiking, waterfalls, everything nearby. It's the best place we've stayed in the area. Private, squeaky clean, big deck, large dining room table for big meals or spreading out the paperwork, GREAT internet connection and TV options. We'll definitely be back on our own - we feel so comfortable there in every way. I could not recommend any higher - would give it a "10" if I could. Todd and Barbie also bent over backwards to help us with a couple of last-minute schedule changes. Such honest and thoughtful hosts. Thanks Todd and Barbie for EVERYTHING over the last few months. We love you guys!

We had a great week! Beautiful view, spacious condo and very comfortable! The kids loved the pool and lake access both within walking distance. We also enjoyed paddle boarding and nearby hikes! Definitely recommend- we will be back.

Beautiful and comfortable cabin! Everything was well maintained, clean, and modern. Quick walk or drive to downtown Clayton which is ADORABLE - tons of cute shops and restaurants. The swim spa is awesome and the property is lovely. Located across the street from a church that plays bells on the hour which was a sweet, small-town touch. Giant shower in the main bathroom was fabulous and parking was a breeze. Would love to stay here again in the future!

An excellent spot for enjoying the Nantahala National Forest, as well as having ample room and accomodations for guests and vehicles.

Clint and Hannah were a joy to have as hosts! The welcome sign was a great surprise for our daughter. This house was pretty well stocked,cleanly and cozy. The amenities were loved, especially the birthday girl and siblings! This house will now hold extra joy, love and laughter . We highly suggest this rental and will be personally renting in the future.

This is such an amazing place and yes it is real! Incredible views and wonderful stunning home in the mountains. It really was a memory I'll have forever. Matt was so awesome, he helped us get settled in and the amenities were so awesome🙏. Stay here and prepare to be pampered all the way up in the mountains! ❤️

Wow! We have stayed at multiple rentals, but this one is by far our favorite! ❤️ We loved the lake, pool, and privacy at this home. There are so many outdoor things to go see and do in the area, but the home was so nice you wouldn’t have to leave to enjoy a vacation! Really appreciated the personal touch of box fans available for use and easy check-in and check-out procedures! We will definitely return!

First I'd like to mention Jack is very accommodating. A welcome basket with a nice assortment of goodies and cold water in the fridge was left for us. Thank you for that! The property is just Beautiful and the landscaping nicely taken care of. The backyard is very private, quiet, and so peaceful with the sound of the creek running in the back. The inside of the home was very roomy with plenty of seating and very clean. Everything you could need was available from kitchen items like foil, wax paper and spices. Extra towels, pillows, blankets, and toiletries. I have 12 grandchildren! Ten of them from ages 3yrs old to 24yrs visited me at this home and all had a Great time. Between the foosball, pool table, yard games, and the big yard for running around they all had a good time. Lots of games inside all so to keep them busy! Wish we had 2 more days just enjoy the firepit and the peaceful sound of the creek. Hope to be back and would love to stay here again! Lucy Dixon

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. Along the Little Tennessee River was very peaceful, I only wish I’d brought a fishing rod. Instructions were clear, check-in was easy, and simple requests to follow upon our leaving. You will be just outside of Franklin, NC and central to many outdoor activities and places to eat and visit. I would definitely recommend a stay here and hopefully be able to book again when I’m back in the area.

Great stay in Highlands! A few things to note - the mile drive after you get off the main road is gravel and there’s no service. There was also no Uber/Lyft but we were driving so no issues there. Just a couple things to plan for during your stay! Overall, amazing place, extremely clean, & great communication with host. Would 100% stay here again!

amazing place! I got sick the next day, but the view and peacefulness of the place was so healing and relaxing that I was ready to travel home in just a few days. hate I had to cut stay short but medically necessary. I will be back to Nathan's place one day so that I can truly enjoy and experience the area. if you love peace and solitude, this is the place for you!!!!!

The sunsets from the porch are gorgeous. It is not only impressive that this home was built in just the perfect spot to catch an amazing sunset, but also nestled in the middle of Fontana Lake with a great view of the lake. I can’t say enough about this location! I’ve grown up coming to the Carolina’s and never knew about Fontana Lake. This cabin feels incredibly secluded and luxurious, but close enough to all the best adventure spots—Nantahala, Deep Creek, Smoky National Park, Fontana Lake access points, Appalachian Trail—you name it. There is even a great trailhead walking distance from the cabin that has great views of the lake, creeks, and challenging and diverse enough to walk 2-3x. We saw deer and wild turkey almost everyday and the wildflowers were in bloom all over. Additionally, the master bedroom has an amazing view from the bed. When I opened my eyes each morning, I had a view of the smokies that was mesmerizing. We all want to rent this cabin again!

Best Airbnb we have ever stayed in! Perfect location, comfortable, gorgeous back porch and sun room. We spent all of our time in the sunroom and outside! As musicians, we appreciated the piano and instruments provided! Host is very friendly and responsive. The house is very clean and well stocked with everything you need. We will be staying here again!!

CONVENIENT FOR OUR VISIT WITH NEARBY IN LAWS. VERY NATURAL, PRIVATE AND SERENE. COMFORTABLE, CLEAN ,WELL FURNISHED. WE'D DEFINITELY STAY THERE AGAIN IF IN THE AREA. ONE CAVEAT, MOST RESTAURANTS ARE CLOSED ON MONDAYS AND BRING YOUR OWN PROVISIONS.

We had a wonderful time at Timber Creek. very quiet setting. Carol thought of everything to make our stay very enjoyable. The snack basket was a nice touch. We made some memories, saw some waterfalls, and saw our granddaughter graduate WCU.

Enjoyed the place very much. The kitchen was well-stocked with cooking supplies and some helpful extras, too. It was great that they had a Keurig machine as well. Lots of good game options, including foosball, ping-pong and even a classic video game console, which was fun. Great quality TVs in each room was a nice plus. Our host was very nice and they aimed to make us feel welcomed and at home there.

Our family of two adults, five teens, and one dog, thoroughly enjoyed our week-long stay at Joe’s place in Franklin. We loved the view from the porch - especially during an afternoon thunderstorm on of the days (gorgeous rainbow!). The beds were comfy, the bathrooms were clean, and the kitchen was practical for our cooking needs. Joe was very responsive for questions. Hope to come back someday!

We loved our stay here! The house was perfect for us and the view is unbeatable! The hosts were very quick to respond, accommodating, and friendly.

Fabulous property! It is very secluded, peaceful and well equipped. The host has paid a lot of attention to details. The kitchen is stocked with all pots pans and cutlery for a large group. The bedrooms and bathrooms are clean and well maintained. As a bonus, the garage is converted to a game room with foosball, table tennis etc. It was a wonderful stay at Encanto!

Wow… just wow. What a wonderful girls weekend we had at Terry’s place! The four of us haven’t been in the same place for over a decade & we had such a relaxing time!! The views were breathtaking and Terry was the perfect host! He was so very responsive & the house met our every need and then some!! Would LOVE to come back & stay again sometime!

What a slice of heaven! 4 wheel drive is essential, but so worth it to get up to Ruby Ridge. Drinking my coffee on the morning on the porch listening to the birds, and then returning to the porch in the evening to enjoy the fire table was my FAVORITE. Alexus was super helpful and friendly, beds were comfy, the home was well-stocked and clean. We hope to come back soon!
