Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Franklin County

After driving up a completely private and secluded road , we pulled upon a private, hilltop home with a stunning view of the Virginia mountains . The outside sitting area with supplied chairs, bbq and fire pit was a bonus . The inside of the home was renovated , cozy and very clean . The kitchen was fully stocked, making cooking easy . Bryan was very responsive and friendly . We will definitely tent again if we find ourselves in Virginia again . Thank you Bryan !

A hidden gem to relax in the mountains and surrounded by deer making it a dream place to stay. 10/10!

One of the best family vacations we’ve ever had! The house was the perfect blend of comfort and charm—so relaxing that we only left by car twice all week. There was plenty to do for our kids and dogs, and the property was incredibly dog-friendly, which made the whole experience even better. We spent our mornings drinking coffee on the beautiful front porch, soaking in the peace and quiet. It truly felt like the definition of relaxation. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind and reconnect with family in a gorgeous setting.

What a beautiful place!! Our whole family loved the deck in the mornings! We had wonderful weather, and the views were just gorgeous as we enjoyed our coffee outside. 😍 Great basement with so many games to enjoy and room for everyone! The gravel driveway is very steep, but thankfully it didn’t rain while we were there, so we had no trouble getting in/out. Very clean, well-stocked house. The closest grocery store is about 30 minutes away, so maybe stop by on your way in. We would love to stay again sometime!

Great host. Very responsive. The place was extremely well maintained and very clean. Everything worked exactly as it should from the keyless entry to Internet access. The property is located .5 miles down a gravel road, which is rustic and dusty. The area is rustic as well. The price was a little high for a manufactured home but it was a holiday weekend.

Great place, very large, very eclectic and so many outdoor options. Just a few min from trails and restaurants. Hosts were amazing and very communicative.

Our stay was amazing , great views, really quiet and peaceful, lake side access and views, we loved the kayaks available, the place was clean and cozy. The mosquitoe screen in the porch is something you’ll appreciate when having dinner or lunch outside ! Great stay over all

We had a wonderful stay while in for a wedding. The cottage is so cute and homey. It has everything you need for a great stay plus some thoughtful extras. I must also say the beds are so comfortable and the hot tub was a great way to end our days. Highly recommend staying here.

I had the absolute pleasure of staying at Susan and Tom’s Airbnb for over a year, and I can confidently say this has been the best Airbnb experience I’ve ever had. From day one, they welcomed me with warmth and kindness, creating a true home away from home. Susan is an incredible host and a fantastic cook—her muffins, scones, and soups are absolutely delicious and something I’ll always remember fondly. She frequently invited me for dinners that were not only delicious but filled with wonderful conversations and laughter. Tom is equally wonderful—he’s someone I genuinely enjoyed spending time with. We had countless engaging chats, and his company was always thoughtful, interesting, and uplifting. He’s truly great to be around and made my stay all the more enjoyable. More than just hosts, Susan and Tom became like family. If you’re considering a stay here, don’t hesitate—this is a rare gem of a place with two of the most wonderful hosts you could ever meet.

Such a beautiful place to stay. While visiting family, it has a nice clean pool, hot tub and love the blackstone griddle. Lots of nature and very peaceful. I also loved the outdoor speakers to listen to music while at the pool and grilling. Everything was neat and clean. We had no problem finding lots of resources that we needed such as silverware and plates. 10/10 highly recommend.

Don't skip on this beautiful property. Not only was Eric an amazing host to our family, his home is a true hidden gem. We stayed in the home with adults, teenagers and young babies. Not a single moment was anyone left feeling bored and itching to leave the property. Breathtaking views, wildlife visitors everyday(deer&bear), large variety of song birds, a peaceful porch with comfortable seating left us wanting to sit for hours. There are several amenities provided by the host from playing cards, games, darts, air hockey table, books and puzzles, tons of comfy throw blankets and pillows to lounge in the common area. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to prepare a meal and the table sat 12 comfortably. Town is just a short drive with plenty of shopping and dining. I know I'm not thinking of everything at the moment, but I would absolutely plan to stay again and for a longer period of time. The view in the fall would be AMAZING!

The land around the cabin was gorgeous, a great place for our dogs to run and play. The cabin had a really cool vintage vibe with a wonderful screened in porch that was perfect for reading and relaxing with the calming sounds of nature. The Smith River a great place for fishing was within a 10 minute drive. Would definitely love to make this an annual trip destination.

We had a wonderful time at the cabin, it was nice to have a peaceful place to relax and I loved sitting on the screen porch and just watching the trees sway. We did have a critter in the old chimney but it was immediately taken care of after I let Barbara know. It is definitely in the woods so bugs and animals will be seen more often, as long as you are fine with that then this is a super fun place. Absolutely amazing host that took care of anything we needed as well. Do yourself a favor and walk to the waterfall a few streets over. It was gorgeous and so fun to splash through the water even if it is ice cold!

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful overnight stay at this location. Wonderful design and cozy accommodations. The owners have really thought of everything. We are hoping to make it an annual stay now that we know about it. We could have easily relaxed and enjoyed another day if we didn't have plans hours away for later in the weekend. 10/10 recommend.

Our short stay in the Cabin was wonderful! The decor, amenities and thoughtfulness to have everything available to relax and enjoy our time. The back deck and fenced in yard is the BEST dog friendly experience we have ever had. The creek was soothing and just wished we could have stayed longer. Definitely A++ in our books.
