Skyline Serenity (Hot Tub, Panorama, King Bed)

CaitlinRating, 5 stars6 days ago
This place was great from check in to check out. The entire home was super clean and had everything you’d need for a stay away from home. Area is very quiet and well kept, views were just like the photos, so beautiful! The outdoor amenities were great to use. Peter was super kind and very quick to respond, we had one small issue later on in the evening and he helped us out and resolved it super fast. Thank you for the amazing stay!

Sanctuary Summit - Hot tub with a view!

CarmelaRating, 5 stars2 days ago
Staying at the summit sanctuary was EVERYTHING & more. The place was perfectly set up with everything you could need while staying there. The host Peter was amazing, he checked in with us and they even had the property manager drop us off an anniversary gift. The inside of the home was amazing. The bed was so comfy, the shower was hot and it was VERY clean! The best part was the scenery and the peace and quiet and of course the hot tub. I was so very pleased with my stay. We didn’t even leave the cabin. There was firewood provided, propane, a laundry room with laundry soap provided and firewood for a nice bonfire at night! If you’re looking for a nice quiet getaway I highly and strongly recommend this place!! You will not be disappointed

Panoramic Paradise - Amazing views, hot tub

WilliamRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Peter was an attentive host that helped make our experience enjoyable. The cabin that we stayed at was modern, clean, and had amazing views. My family enjoyed experiencing the great outdoors, but with contemporary amenities. Small touches, like providing fire starters, helped make the stay very memorable. We plan to return next year.

Alpine Abode (Hot Tub, King Bed, Beautiful Views)

AdamRating, 5 stars2 days ago
This is one of the most incredible places we have ever stayed. The cabin was beautiful and there is a view from almost everywhere you are inside out across the valley. The deck was perfect for wine in the evening or coffee in the morning and it made us wish that we didn’t have so many things planned that we wanted to do because the level of calm and relaxation was off the charts. Absolutely amazing place, we have already talked about coming back! Thank you!!!

Red Maple Cabin

LeeRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
My family and I had the pleasure of staying in the red maple cabin. We were in town for a wedding and this was a perfect place to stay. We were minutes from the venue yet on a private road secluded in the woods. Theres some close restaurants if needed and town is only a short drive away if you forget something. We were able to bring our 2 dogs along which was a huge plus as well. The cabin had all the basic essentials minus towel linens. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!
The cabin's exterior features a wood-paneled façade and a welcoming porch with a wooden railing. A gravel path leads to the front entrance, surrounded by green grass and landscaped areas. Tall trees in the background provide a natural setting.

Secluded 3 bedroom cabin in the woods

ChristinaRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
We had a wonderful stay ! The cabin was secluded, super clean and plenty of room. When we arrived my 3 year old son seen the swing set in the yard and was super excited about that, then when we got inside he found the children's toys in one of the bedrooms. My wife and I thought that was so great that the owners had multiple things at the cabin for kids. We stayed at many different cabins in the cook forest area over the years and this was the first one that had toys and a playset in the yard , as well as children's dvds at the cabin. The weather did not cooperate with us at all during our stay ( it rained everyday) we still pushed through and did pretty much everything we wanted to do. This was by far our family's favorite place to stay and we will be trying to book again for a weekend stay in either July or August and hopefully we get some sunny days. I highly recommend this cabin, and the host, and our family looks forward to staying here again !!!

Pappy’s Camp on Blue Ridge Road

LindseyRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Great stay for my family of five! My husband, our two littles, and our pup wanted a last minute weekend getaway and Richard made everything so easy! From flexible check in, to prompt communication, he was great to work with. The place was quiet, felt so homey, and had EVERYTHING you could want. Richard even set up a pack and play for our daughter so we didn’t have to bring one. Close to a lot of trails but nothing directly walkable from the house, and most attractions and stores were closed off season, but would be great to come back to in the spring or summer.

Blue Spruce Cabin

We made a last minute reservation on Easter at the cabin and it turned out to be a great find! Lois quickly answered my questions about check-in when I sent her a message. The location was easy to find. The cabin was very clean and modern. It was comfortable for the four of us. There are some restaurants very close by that we have enjoyed over the years. They were not open at the time of our visit, but do open seasonally! I would love to return!

The Cook Forest-dog friendly-free firewood-a/c

AmyRating, 5 stars48 months ago
Our stay was very enjoyable and Jen and Kurt were gracious, accommodating, and attentive. Concerns were addressed promptly and completely. We enjoyed walking the property, feeding the chickens, stargazing, and making smores at the fire circle. The property is stunning and well situated, close to park gift shops, trails, excursions, and restaurants. Jen provided many area resources and maps. The units are clean, bright, and lovely! Just to clarify from the listing: 1. This is a guesthouse on the owner’s property. The main family house is right next to the rental unit. 2. This is a two-unit guesthouse. Each unit is completely self-contained and has a separate entrance, one for the bottom unit, and one for the top. If you would prefer more space or quiet, ask the host if there will be additional renters there during your stay. 3. The listing notes the lack of cell / wifi and this can be challenging. There are nearby access points, though…the park office and Pale Whale offer wifi, but it is slow / limited. Come with the intention and ability to truly disconnect from work, etc! 4. There is a TV, but it does not get any channels. There is a DVD player, so you can bring your favorites or ask Jen for some! We used a radio to get weather reports, etc. TIP: Be sure to check out the Sawmill Craft Center on Forest Road to support local artisans with your purchase of handmade wares: beautiful candles, beeswax / honey, ornaments, pottery, signs, etc. We had an outstanding stay in the forest! We were originally concerned about not having enough to do in a week, but ended up having the opposite experience: hiking, biking, time on the water, nearby excursions, etc made this a wonderful time and we hated to have to leave.
A bright sleeping area features two white beds with simple bedding, each accompanied by a small nightstand with a lamp. Natural light filters through two windows, framed by light curtains, creating an airy atmosphere. Wooden flooring adds warmth to the space.

What a super host. This place is really nice and I would recommend. This is a two unit and would be great for two families getting together. Nice fire place and hangout area for downstairs unit. Cool pavilion. For cookout and gathering. Very quiet. So much to do in the Spring and Summer with canoing , fishing, and especially hiking. I grew up with family camp near by for over 50 years and love this area. Thanks Jen for a great stay!
