Vacation rentals with lake access in Fontana Lake

Daniel and Anna were GREAT host. The home was clean, quite and a great location for motorcycle riding. We loved it and would love to go back.

We had a wonderful time at this lake house. Plenty of room for my family of five to spread out and relax and such a beautiful setting. The house had everything we needed to just relax and spend time there. The kitchen was very well stocked with equipment. My sons loved fishing in the lake and we all enjoyed sitting around to bonfire at night. It was wonderful. Next time we will stay for longer!

We absolutly loved Suzy's place. With any cabin in the woods, yes there are going to be ants. As long as your responsible with your food (don't leave it out, leave open food hanging around) you will be fine. This is not the place to go if you don't like bug or bees. for a Cabin in the woods, it was perfect! The lake front was BEAUTIFUL. Our last night there, there was a thunderstorm with heavy rain. add the open windows and it was bliss! definitely considering making this a yearly trip! Thank you Suzy!

Mario's place is a true mountain hideaway. Rustic and comfy with enough bathrooms for a large family. Big living room to gather in, and spacey enough to get some time to yourself if needed. The place is well-stocked and clean. The vibe is clutter free and relaxed, homey and spacious. Woodsy with lots of birdsong and no neighbors within sight of the house except way down the mountain far away. There wasn't really anything we needed that we didn't find...extra blankets and pillows, toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, etc. There was even a chalk marker to mark our initials on our water bottles. Really can't say enough great things about this stay, and don't have anything negative to say. Mario is an excellent host and really flexible, with very few rules other than to respect his property. Highly recommend all the way around!

Matthew’s place was very nice and cozy. Definitely one of the cleanest and best stocked cabins I have ever stayed in! We had a few hiccups in our trip (mainly issues caused by weather, nothing anyone could help). However, Matthew stayed in constant communication throughout the trip and kept us up to date with information we needed regarding the weather caused outages and the such and made sure we were taken care of. I can truly tell that he goes above and beyond for his guests. I would definitely stay here again!

Great location and very peaceful. Extremely clean and well stocked. We stayed in the winter, so the lake was low, but we knew that going in. Parking and stairs down to the door can be a little trickey, especially at night. As others have said, dont bring a boat to the property but take it to a marina. There is limited ability to turn around. Would certainly stay again.

We had the best getaway. It was just what we needed with very comfy house, ample deck for relaxing, grilling, eating and to see the lake. Easy little walk from house to lake where we could put our kayaks in or float on a raft. We loved the kitchen bec it had lots of pots pans and things needed for real cooking which we loved to do. Dina was extremely responsive and very nice. We’ll book this one again!

We enjoyed our stay at the Blackberry Cottage. The cottage is very comfortable with lots of great places to lounge both inside and out. We really enjoyed the screened-in porch, especially the bistro table. The back deck was great for grilling and making smores in the solo firepit stove. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very clean and inviting. The kitchen was well equipped and as described. The lake is just a short walk down the road. Although we had really nice weather and didn't need them, the cottage has lots of games and DVDs which would be perfect to pass the time on a rainy day. The wi-fi worked very well.

This was my third stay at Sharon’s property, and it definitely will not be my last! The apartment is beautifully decorated and is stocked with all amenities you will need. It was spotlessly clean, organized and comfortable. The view is amazing and I couldn’t spend enough time on the porch reading, enjoying the view of the mountains, and enjoying the peace and tranquility. I highly recommend daily walks around the lake! Sharon and Anna are amazing hosts and provide fast communication if and when needed. When an unexpected storm rolled thru and the power went out temporarily, Sharon was quick to provide candles, flashlight, and battery pack for my phone. The bed is very comfy, and the stocked Nespresso machine is such an added bonus! I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of my stay and will be back next summer to enjoy it again!

This was the nicest Airbnb we have ever stayed in. It was small, but had everything we needed to enjoy our week. It was nice to be able to cook some of our meals in the well supplied kitchen. Everything was very clean and neat, and the surroundings were beautiful. We were able to spend time with Steve and Susie and they were very helpful and enjoyable. The only problem we had was finding the home on the first day, but this was due to road construction that blocked the way into the residential area. We had to come through the main gate of Lake Junaluska and stop for directions. The neighborhood was very nice and we enjoyed walking around the lake and just sitting, enjoying the scenery. We hope to someday return and enjoy this lovely apartment again.

Solid place to stay for good value with everything needed for a week stay.

I have stayed in Carolyn's units several times. She is a fantastic host and very responsive. The apartment had everything we needed for a week's stay. There are snacks too! We were at a conference with people dropping in for lunch so I particularly appreciated the extra table and chairs. I slept on the bed and sofa and both were comfortable. The lake view and access to the walking trail are perfect. The close proximity to Stuart Auditorium was a must for me. I highly recommend Carolyn's units and am already booked for next year.

The loft is beautiful and SO clean. We often have allergy issues with airbnbs but not this trip! So clean. Absolutely love being right on the river stream, too. So peaceful.

ms.sandy and her husband are the sweetest people ever, we missed check in by 4 hours so she was worried and made sure we were okay, upon arrival and her explaining everything to us she took the time to made sure we ate something and made us a smoothie just in case we didn’t. she has the most beautiful home and it’s exactly like the pictures. when you look over the balcony at night you see the most beautiful firefly’s, and wake up to the most brightest sunrises, you can even see the mountains in the back!! the room was so clean and spacious so we will definitely be back again and hopefully for longer!

This place was perfect! Super comfy, especially the bed and super soft sheets! Loved the screened in porch view, being elevated, looking down at the lake, felt so naturesque and private!

This is an amazing place!! Beautiful view, great place to sit outside, close walking path, quiet, comfortable and nicely furnished. It was just so perfect!! Fell in love with the apartment and Lake Junaluska. Cannot say enough about what an exceptional place this was!

we really enjoyed our stay at the cabin, every thing was perfect. it was quiet peaceful and the screened in porch was amazong. we would definitely stay here again.

We spent Easter weekend here. As we drove in the wild azaleas and dogwoods were blooming, and everything afterwards was just as beautiful and peaceful. My teenagers loved kayaking and my daughter liked the pond so well she slept on the daybed on the porch. I appreciated the feather pillows and reverse osmosis water. Attention has been paid to every detail. I called my Nana to show her the antique desks. My small children enjoyed the toys and my middle son using the pully bucket on the porch. My daughter celebrated a birthday over our stay, more movie guests showed up than expected and I just couldn't turn these kids away. Our hosts were so kind. They of course charged a little extra as was clearly understood via the contract, they were very understanding and polite. The lock to the boat seems to be jamed, the downstairs fireplace is currently non operational, and I'm not sure I'll get back a thumb drive I forgot, but this family has worked hard to create really special place. Five star

My family rents a lake house every year and we all agreed this was our favorite one! The location was perfect- on a quiet part of the lake with a view of the mountains. The indoor and outdoor spaces were built for enjoying the lake and had everything we needed for a perfect lake getaway. Would definitely recommend and we can’t wait to go back!

This was our second time staying at this beautiful lakefront home, and it’s our favorite home on Lake Santeetlah. The location is unbeatable. It’s tucked into a quiet, peaceful cove that feels like your own private slice of the lake. The home is incredibly well thought out. It’s comfortably and stylishly furnished inside and stocked with everything you need to enjoy the lake: kayaks, paddleboards, floats, and more. Inside is also thoughtfully furnished with everything you might need. We especially loved the new screened-in porch. It’s the perfect spot for morning coffee, reading, afternoon rainstorms, dinner, or just soaking in the view without bugs. You can really feel the care and intention in this home. Every stay has been relaxing, easy, and memorable. Thank you for sharing this slice of heaven with us! We’re already looking forward to our next visit.

Second time!! We love having lake access and such a beautiful view. Our sunset Saturday night was spectacular! With older family members, we appreciate having a very level entry with kitchen, living room, screen porch, and a Queen bed all on the main level. We also loved the water time with the paddle boards and kayaks. Easy living!! Lake Santeetlah is a Travel and Leisure top 11 most beautiful lakes in the country. So pristine and peaceful!
