Walking into Neil Watson’s Writer’s Retreat felt like visiting the house of good friends. Suffused with character, spectacular music and DVD collections, an eclectic library, and all the modern conveniences wrapped in classic rustic French atmosphere, the only thing lacking might have been a cat or two. The village is spectacularly lovely, nestled in the Languedoc region, famous for its wine. The retreat itself is a couple of minutes walking distance from four excellent restaurants, Adrian’s amazing wine shop, and a lovely village grocery store. Neil's walking maps were great. Vive la France!

I thoroughly recommend this place, although AJAC village has little to offer it is surrounded by beautiful countryside. Limoux is only 4.5km away. Lawrence is both helpful and friendly and the accommodation was very good. I would certainly stay again.

We had a great stay at Benedict’s house. The house was charming and in a lovely location in the town. The views from the roof terrace were beautiful and the kids loved taking a dip in the pool at the end of the day. Benedict was incredibly helpful and quick to respond to any questions and very generous with everything in the house.

Jacques is a gold host. Very clear indication and great flexibility from that. The place is in its juice, but for the price there are 4 large bedrooms, two toilets and two showers. A small garden allows you to be outside as needed. Children's games nearby and hiking from the village.

House as advertised, comfortable, pleasant, quietly located and 10 minutes from Ax-les-Thermes by car. Mr. Faletti responds quickly for the rare times we contacted him since everything went very well during our stay! Of course we recommend this place for anyone who wants to spend a family vacation.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at the house. Very quirky, everything you need and the location was handy for enjoying the live evening entertainment in the centre of town. We had no trouble parking anywhere. We would definitely stay again.

We felt very comfortable in the rustic house that is located on the edge of the old village. 5 minutes walk for shopping and 2 good restaurants, very quiet, we were able to sleep wonderfully. The location is just perfect for many activities in this beautiful area. Annie is very friendly and always available via Airbnb.

We had a great time at Joelle's place. The house is really beautiful and tastefully furnished, it feels like home. In addition, the beds are extremely comfortable and the environment is very quiet. As for Joelle, she is a responsive and very understanding host. We'll be happy to go back.

Located in the heart of the village, the house is very functional. The mountain walks are beautiful around Aulus-les-Bains.

Our host was friendly and kind. He was very responsive to our requests. We were pleasantly surprised by the apartment, an impeccable bathroom, a very well-equipped kitchen, two large, very pleasant bedrooms with great bedding. A quiet exterior, with a lovely view. We would highly recommend it.

Very nice welcome, the accommodation is very clean and really well-equipped. Many products are available to tenants. We stayed there with a baby, again all the amenities were available which is very nice. Thanks to our hosts for this beautiful, tastefully renovated accommodation and their friendly welcome.

We had a very nice stay in Ax les Thermes. The accommodation is in the center so convenient for enjoying the terraces and walks from Ax. The place stayed cool despite the 30 degrees. The small courtyard is nice for eating out.

Donna was a wonderful host and her place is charming and ancient and delightful. The kitchen has everything you need. The beds are comfy, as is the living room. The two toilets are handy and the shower quaint. The place is full of character. Granes is in a flat valley, but not far from it to the south west is a beautiful town perched on a hill, and beyond that the bustling Qullan, and beyond that are canyons and the mountainous Pyrenees. Then not far from it to the north east is Rennes Les Bains with wonderful hot springs and Rennes le Chateau with its mystery, and south east is the beautiful mountain of Bugarach. Cathar country and castles are all around. We'd recommend having a real paper map rather than just rely on google maps which often thinks unpassable tracks are roads!

Very nice stay at Sophie's. Responsive and available host. Atypical house with all its little nooks. Extremely well equipped for toddlers. The cottages are beautiful. Air-conditioned accommodation as shown in the description except for the two bedrooms on the second floor. Under the attic in the heat wave it was very hot. Fortunately, the property is also equipped with several fans. Thank you for your attention. Pool can be a little small when all the beds are busy (15 people in our case). it didn't stop us from enjoying it. Small plus much appreciated: 2 welcome baskets well stocked for everyone's enjoyment

Simply perfect stay. A weekend of relaxation in a tastefully decorated house, very sober and uncluttered with a mix of color and harmonious materials, giving the passage a package of decoration ideas 😁 Very nice hot tub constantly heated to 38ºC without any overlooks enough to relax for several hours without seeing the time pass. In short, a perfect cocoon of relaxation that will make you forget everything else.

Thanks to Olivier for his warm welcome and the space made available and furnished with great care. The bedding is quality and very comfortable. Olivier is attentive to the well-being, needs and requests of his guests. Everything you need is available and the small garden is a real cocoon of greenery. A nice walk, good restaurants and a cinema are just a stone's throw away and a little further a supermarket... Nothing is missing!
