This is a beautiful place to stay on the banks of the Charente which we enjoyed from the canoe but just loved seeing it flowing along edging the grounds. We came on the train which is a very easy journey from Paris to Jarnac. It is then less than an hours walk along the cycle path or quicker along the very quiet road. The market in Jarnac is excellent and there’s some nice cafes and bars. In Bourg Charente itself the bar tabac sells morning baguette and croissants, especially good to put an order in the day before. Also in the village La Ribaudiere restaurant was absolutely amazing and an experience not to be missed. So this is a great place to stay if you are car free like us but bicycles really help too especially with direct access to the 400 km path La Flow Velo. Lots of fun! Thanks to Andrea and Dominic.

I 100% recommend the accommodation of Alban and Sandrine who are very nice, very welcoming and available hosts as well as their neighbor Virginie who welcomed us at first. The accommodation is as described and as shown in the photos, even more beautiful! Impeccably clean, tastefully decorated, you immediately feel very good there! We went to Cognac for the Blues Passion festival. The accommodation is ideal, central and close to everything (shops, public garden, restaurants, bakeries...). Ludovic welcomed us in person, very friendly and gave good advice. The accommodation is very convenient, clean, very well equipped, very personal where you feel at home. Excellent bedding. comfort. No complaints. Very convenient private parking to leave the car for the duration of the stay. Thanks Ludovic for everything!!!!
