“The pictures don't do this place justice. We expected it to be more quaint and cozy, but this house has a ton of room! We had a group of 6 but easily could have slept 2-4 more. It also has the most stocked kitchen I've ever seen in an Airbnb - all the spices, condiments, and utensils you could need! We cooked in every single day. There are a lot of awesome places to explore very nearby. We were close to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Max Patch, the Rattler (NC hwy 209). Pretty close to Asheville as well, although I will warn that if you're planning to drink before hitting the city, there are no rideshare services in the area, so plan accordingly with a DD. I wish we'd had more time because there were a *ton* of other great places to explore nearby. The babbling creek by the house made for a relaxing time by the fire. Since it's a little further out, the stargazing is prime. This place is also great if you are traveling with a dog. My dog had a BLAST zooming around the snowy yard. Amenities were on point and everything was super clean. Amanda was responsive and checked in frequently. My phone had no signal and I enjoyed every second of it (never fear, there is wifi). 10/10, highly recommend staying here if you're looking to get in the mountains and unplug.”
Welcome to the Cabin at Hidden Valley Farm NC. The Cabin is the perfect mountain getaway for adventurous couples visiting Western , NC. With original logs dating back to the 1700s, the Cabin's country setting is perfect for a dreamy getaway, yet convenient to both the charming slow pace of Waynesville and the artsy bustle of Asheville. Due to the virus, we are taking extra time between bookings to deep clean and sanitize all areas of the cabin for the safety of our guests.
“My wife and I spent hours searching for a place to stay near Asheville with our 3 children. We weren't sure if we were going to stay in a cabin or near downtown, but once we read the reviews of this cabin, we decided to spend 5 of our 6 nights here. My only regret is that we didn't spend all 6 nights in the cabin. There is no perfect location to stay in Asheville if you plan on seeing all the sites and hiking all the popular trails - everything requires a drive - which made this cabin as perfect it gets! It's easy to get to and has a great little property right next to a creek including 3 porches, 2 clubhouse-like sheds, a detached deck/patio near the creek, and a fire pit/grill that's perfectly in sight from the window above the kitchen sink. The cabin is immaculate and authentic with it's almost ancient structural lumber. It's beautiful and it took no time for it to feel like home. It's filled with antique furniture and super cozy. There's a bathroom and a bedroom on each floor which made it perfect for our young family. Our 2 older kids slept in the bed on the second floor and our youngest toddler slept in a neighboring pack-and-play we brought. The claw foot tub made bath time a breeze. The kitchen is a perfect layout for preparing delicious breakfasts before a long day of hiking, and using the remote to turn on the gas fireplace to wind down with a glass of wine after getting the kids to bed is super rewarding. This place is so perfect, my wife I have already decided we want to make this an annual vacation. Gwen is a super thoughtful host and communicated perfectly. Everything was set up, clean, and ready to go. Check-in was as easy as could be. We love this place and can't wait to come back!!”
