Suva Central Superhosts Gardens Guest Home

KoaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Bianca and Bruce were excellent hosts. They were very friendly, very easy and quick to communicate with, gave great recommendations, and had a lovely home. This was our favourite place we stayed at in Fiji, despite staying in tourist friendly beach houses and resorts in the Yasawas. Very easy to get around to anywhere in Suva, especially if you have a car. Would recommend this to anybody. The only thing is the dogs can be quite protective and not let you into the front. But once they know you they’re very very friendly. Thank you for hosting and let us stay in your beautiful home

Villa Belo, Drevula Heights, Coral Coast, Fiji

LisaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This is a little slice of heaven. The only negative is having to depart. It’s so much nicer than we expected and we were expecting a lot. Only stay here if you are looking for a perfect getaway from the outside world… although there is free WiFi, if you want to check to see if the outside world is still there before you depart.

The Grand Villa at Green Fiji Plantation

AndrewRating, 5 stars2 months ago
The Green Fiji Plantation was easily one of the best travel experiences our family has ever had. The grounds / house / pool are incredibly gorgeous, but the people and Fijian family that caretakes the property and handles all the food / events while there are beyond incredible. We were impressed time and time again throughout the stay with their welcoming attitude and overall care. We will definitely be back!

GIPSEA - Your own floating paradise

LitaRating, 5 stars10 months ago
Loved our yacht stay very much! It’s not a luxury yacht. It’s a rustic yacht!! Full of character and we felt like sea voyagers. We were offered two yachts because the other ‘Fantasia’ wasn’t booked for the weekend. Luc was that kind! We payed separately for our day cruise ,which was absolutely amazing! Because there were 7 of us, (grandma, mums and daughters) Luc said we could sleep on both or in one if we wanted to. Bill looked after us during our stay and he transported us from the beach to the yachts and helped us navigate the little things on board I.e how to flush the toilets! Some of us went to shore to eat at the beach club and some just stayed on board the whole time! Bill was very patient, kind , attentive and helpful! Luc made sure we were comfortable and enjoying our stay. Absolutely beautiful sunrises and sunsets. You can hear music from the bar and hotels. Look out for fishes that swim next to the yacht early morning. Clear sea! Amazing star gazing! Will stay here again!

Large 2/2 Private Villa-Vuda with Pool-Bali Vibes!

ShannonRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Richard’s place is exactly as described and reflected in the pictures. My husband and I had a great time at his property for a few days of our honeymoon. The beds are very comfortable, sheets and towels are all very high quality. Some Airbnb owners cheap out on that kind of stuff and that is not the case here! Property had everything we needed from beach towels, a washing machine, kitchen with high quality pots and pans, every utensil you might need, games, pool floats, even sunscreen and bug spray. You can tell the host pays attention to small detail anticipating guest needs. The location was good, and we loved taking the golf cart to first landing resort for meals and sunset drinks. The neighborhood is safe, gated community with a 24/7 security guard who walks the neighbor. We also liked eating at the boat shed which is close by. Beach has gorgeous sunsets and is walkable or a short golf cart ride. The property caretaker Duna is amazing, you can tell he truly cares about the guests

Cardos Studio 1

JustinRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Was very convenient as we had an early transfer to the islands the next day. Bula bus was convenient to see island and you are right on the port amongst all the action. Was just what we wanted. There was a bit of noise from the restaurants below (Sat night) but didn’t impact us and wanted to be somewhere where we could walk to restaurants and ferry. Great stay

Nabila Surf Homestay

MatthewRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
If you are a hardcore budget surf traveler and love experiencing real local living this place is for you. Kinna, Anna, Anna, Lavay and Muma and their family Sammy, Issie and Appy are the most warm kindest people, and the whole village too. My heart swells what beautiful kind people the Nabila people are and all Fijins 😊

Vale Sekoula, Villa on the Ocean with Pool & A/C

SusanRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Vale Sekoula was the perfect place to stay for our visit to the magical island of Taveuni. Tony and Katie's home was exactly as pictured and yet even better. The beds were comfortable and living area fit all our needs. The pool and ocean breezes helped to keep us cool. We loved using the kayaks and paddle boards. Our days were busy with snorkeling, and hiking to waterfalls. Highlights include the Coastal Walk, the Lovo at the Dive Cafe and snorkeling at Rainbow Reef. We didn't realize we had to bring American $$ in order to exchange money in town. We got by with the ATM though and did use credit cards at the restaurants for a small up-charge. We loved dinner at Coconut Grove. Dinner at Tramonte and Dive Cafe were also good. We always walked there and back and got to see the amazing night sky. Vinna and Robert's help was immeasurable, they are both so wonderful. The island is so beautiful…lush with amazing flowers, plants, birds, tropical fruit. It was truly the vacation of a lifetime!

Private Ocean Bure in Secluded Lodge

HannahRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Yasawa Paradise really is a small slice of paradise! Do not expect luxury accommodation but this is more than made up for by the breathtaking location and wonderful hospitality. Ily and Jonny really look after you and show you the island life! The snorkelling and handline fishing were amazing - I even got a Fijian massage with a view of the ocean! As an FYI to future guests, it is warm at night but I’ve travelled a lot in my life and can honestly say this was the most beautiful place I’ve ever visited, totally worth the price and would recommend to anyone. You can also always pop over to the fancy resort on the other side of the island for a cocktail too! The speedboats are always fun and you might see some jumping fish alongside you too :)

Your guide to Fiji

All About Fiji

Fiji is an island nation located in the South Pacific, east of Australia. The majority of the population is located on the two main Fijian Islands, Viti Levu and Vanua Levu. Formed of over 500 islands, Fiji is a diverse and bountiful region with nature that has largely remained pristine. One of the island nation’s biggest draws is its incredible coral reefs and beaches, where you can snorkel, swim, and dive to experience the beauty of Fiji’s coast and oceans. Explore the islands’ culinary culture or go spelunking in limestone caves on Yasawa Island.

The particularly adventurous may enjoy trying to catch and cook their own mud crabs with help from local guides, or diving to reach caverns with petroglyphs. The offering of kava, a root, is part of a traditional gift-giving custom that most travelers are expected to partake in. This culture of community sharing, respect, and camaraderie is worth participating in for any trip to Fiji.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Fiji

The best months to consider house rentals in Fiji or an apartment in Fiji are February, March, June, October, and November, all of which constitute shoulder or off-peak seasons, when crowds have yet to arrive or have just departed. November to April is the off-peak season but also Fiji’s monsoon season. Yearly events you won’t want to miss include Holi, or the Festival of Colors, in February, where participants shower each other in rich colors. The World Music Festival in June is a celebration of international performance, bands, and music. Fiji Day, marking the independence of Fiji, and the start of a week of cultural festivals and events celebrating the nation’s diversity. Diwali, or the Festival of Lights in October, where locals and visitors enjoy light shows and traditional firecrackers in vibrant displays.

Top things to do in Fiji

Coral Coast

Located on the southwest side of Viti Levu, the Coral Coast is a stretch of pristine white sand beaches. Besides the hotels, resorts, and restaurants dotting the edge of the coastline, visitors can work up a good sweat by trying out the Ecotrax, a line of railtrack that offers visitors push carriages to explore Fiji’s lush landscape.

Fiji Museum

The Fiji Museum, located on Viti Levu, is a must-see attraction. Covering over 3,700 years of Fijian history, exhibits include cannibal forks, shell jewelry, Indian artwork, and more. The museum is easily accessible on foot as well, and features a gift shop with a wide variety of books, souvenirs, and more.

Garden of the Sleeping Giant

Located in the foothills of the Nausori Highlands is the Garden of the Sleeping Giant, a large garden featuring collections of many kinds of flowers, especially orchids. Once part of a private collection, the orchids in particular have flourished in Fiji’s climate. Guests can also experience a jungle walk through a lily pond and part of the local rainforest.
