Waterfront vacation rentals in Faroe Islands

Lydia’s place was really great and I enjoyed my 10 days in Klaksvik staying here. I really appreciated the modern washer and dryer. The water pressure in the shower was great also. The view out the window is amazing and never gets boring to look at as the light changes throughout the day on the hills. The beds are comfortable but it would be nice if maybe one of the rooms was a double bed instead of joined twin singles as they can move apart in the night. But overall this is a great place to stay and Lydia was very accommodating when I needed early checkin! I would recommend this place to any one staying in Klaksvik

Marion's place was just outstanding. Unbelievable views, roomy, comfortable, clean place with all of the ammenities that we needed. With such an amazing place, the best part was the host. Marion was so very helpful - we were trying to plan our ferry and hike to Kallur Lighthouse, and she really helped us with understanding the logistics. Not to mention, the ferry is less than a 5 minute drive from the house. Otherwise, we had several questions and she was extremely responsive and helpful to all of them. We would 100% stay at Marion's place again!

Really cozy apartment in a nice and quite surrounding overlooking the fjord. We had everything we needed and the apartment gets warm quickly with the heating. You just have to be aware that it is quite a drive to get to the spots because the cute little town is at the far end of a road but everything isn’t far on the Faroe.

Nestled in a quiet corner of Torshavn, overlooking the water. Beautiful, peaceful, well-designed place. Would happily stay here again.

A lovely apartment with a great view. Clean and tidy. Central location. Nice welcome . The only small minus was the lack of description of how the dishwasher is started. All in all, we were very happy with the apartment.

We had a wonderful stay! Sunneva greeted us welcomingly with fresh homemade bread, jam, and coffee. She was always friendly, helpful, communicative, and overall, a wonderful host. We felt right at home in this Airbnb, and Sunneva's hospitality really stood out in comparison to other Airbnbs I stayed in. She even showed us where we could swim in the ocean! Highly recommend this place :)

A lovely light modern flat overlooking the harbour with fantastic views. Everything was spotlessly clean and we had all that we needed and plenty of space for 2 people. Our only problem was getting the cooker to work as we’re not used to induction hobs. Marita came out immediately to help us and hopefully will have instructions for the next people to stay!

Would stay here any time I’m in the Faroe Islands! They are incredibly responsive and also went out of their way to get us tissues when we told them we kept getting runny noses due to the weather. The house itself is always warm and very comfortable. The location is perfect for exploring many Faroe Island attractions (Mykines, lake above the ocean, witch’s finger, etc.) I appreciate the fully dark blinds to cover the windows. Note that the pillows are very soft and you might want to bring your own if that is an issue. Nicolina’s place is the basement of a house and there are soft footstep sounds above if you are a light sleeper.

Maybe because it's a new home, I feel that the tableware is new and clean in all aspects, and the room is also clean. Some places may not have been repaired yet. Anyway, it's pretty good.

Dagmar's house in Eiði was lovely. It's centrally located in the village, just opposite the town church. There's a convenient parking spot right out front. The interior was nicely decorated, and the house works well for a single traveler such as myself; it also, however, would work well for larger groups or families, as there are multiple bedrooms. This was a great place to stay while exploring the northern Faroes!

100% recommended. Home was absolutely beautiful. Clean, well-stocked kitchen, matched description well. We loved our stay here and would definitely choose to stay here again. Host was incredibly proactive with sending out info and recommendations before our arrival, and there was a helpful info book at the house (love those!). Can't say if they were responsive to questions or not, because we didn't need to ask any! (I'm sure they would've been.)

The place was just as described, we felt right at home. We had everything we needed and more, from kitchen utensils to an outstanding record collection. There’s shops only a short distance away and easy access to other towns as well. The house was very suitable for a family with children with many games and toys around. The view speaks for itself. A true place to just relax and wind down. The most outstanding feature though was Eyðfríð herself. Sadly we didn’t meet her but her communication and helpfulness is unparalleled in our experience. She helped us out in a pinch when we had some travel issues and gave us many recommendations on the way.

We enjoyed our stay at Benita’s place during our visit to Gjógv. The apartment served our needs well. It is in a very picturesque area and served as our base for several days as we explored the Faroe Islands. The downstairs living area is quite large with many places to sit and relax. The kitchen was well equipped, spacious and furnished with a table and chairs, enabling a choice between having meals in the kitchen or in the dining room. The rooms upstairs provide many beds so can accommodate quite a few guests.

Highly recommend this place! It is peaceful and quiet with amazing views. The house is lovely - just as in the description and pictures - and Gunnar is a great host, very responsive and helpful. We loved the well supplied kitchen and hot tub on the deck. Also loved the wildlife - birds and sheep and, most importantly, newborn lambs - right outside the house! Great location - about midway between the airport and Torshavn and a perfect jumping off point for exploring all the islands. As mentioned, the walk up to the house could be difficult for those unable to walk up a steep grade but is fine for most. It was a perfect place for our week in the Faroe Islands.

beautiful location and the home is gorgeous. we loved it. if narrow stairs make U nervous it may not be best choice but handrail made it feel fine to us. wish we could have stayed longer

We only have good things to say about this apartment. It's super cozy, spacious, very clean, private/quiet, and equipped with everything you need. Comfortable beds. Lovely roof terrace with a great view. Perfect location, close to the harbor, shops and restaurants. The photos in the listing completely match the reality. Beatrice gave great tips on what to explore in the Faroe Islands, restaurants, etc., and responded very quickly to questions. We had some wonderful days and are happy to return to the scenic Faroe Islands and this apartment again.

I loved Atli’s place. It is so lovely and comfortable. It has everything you need and a breathtaking view. Atli is also a welcoming and helpful host. I would absolutely recommend this accommodation for anybody visiting the Faroe Islands.

My wife and I spent 6 days in this beautiful apartment. Very clean and functional. Lots of space, well equipped kitchen, many appliances, a large Smart TV, but above all great views. The location is great for visiting the Faroe Islands, in a short time you can reach the capital is all the islands. There are not many restaurants nearby, for those you have to move around the capital, which is only 30 minutes away. A well-stocked supermarket is 10 minutes away. We recommend this apartment to all those who want to enjoy the peace of the Faroe Islands with a strategic location but also super quiet.

Solva was a great host! Place was absolutely perfect for us and we could walk to everything in town. Solva was very helpful with recommendations and tips for things to do. We got to see a B36 game and that was definitely a highlight. Thank you Solva for a great stay! would definitely come back here.
