Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Fairfax

A group of four of us stayed over a weekend for the LIV golf tournament is Gainesville, VA. The house was pretty easy to find and located in a great central area. Directions to the house and check in instruction were clear. The home was clean and everything worked well. It felt like a mix of an old homey cabin with modern features. The overlook of Lake Jackson makes for a peaceful and calm atmosphere. Each morning we enjoyed a cup of coffee while overlooking the lake and listening the wildlife. Even saw a few bald eagles flying over the lake. Overall, our stay was great and Karen was helpful and responsive with any questions/requests we had. 5 out of 5 would stay again.

Vinson’s place was absolutely beautiful. My coworkers and I were there on business but this listing is so large, it would be great for large families. It’s accurately described and it’s breathtaking. Vinson has the listing strategically decorated in a way that ALL guests will feel welcomed. I enjoyed my stay and I’m planning to book his listing for my family vacation. We loved the area and the commute into D.C. was very doable. Access to Interstate was quick and easy. The huge yard was perfect for our small school group to run around in and we really enjoyed the back deck for extra seating and hanging out. Having a second house right next door so we could divide up our boys/girls was just PERFECT. We had a great trip to D.C. and would book with Krissia again!

This house is a great find - it has everything you need to feel right at home and the house and yard are beautiful. The house is extremely well appointed and well stocked. The common area furniture and beds are very comfortable. The gas fireplace was perfect for cool spring nights. The back yard porch was a great place to hang out with comfy furniture, 2 grills, sun umbrellas and a gas fire pit. I love to cook and the kitchen had everything I needed and more. Diana is one of THE BEST Airbnb or Vrbo hosts that we have ever had. She was very responsive, knowledgable, friendly and detail oriented. My wife left her glasses and she mailed them to us overnight. The location is excellent - the neighborhood is peaceful, but very close to the town center stores and activities. Falls Church has a small town feel but is close to all of the attractions of the Wash DC metro area. The house comfortably accommodated me, my wife, our son and grandparents; one-level living was great for grandparents.

The rooms were very large. The living area was very comfortable and well set up with furniture and large TV. The kitchen was huge and it was large enough so one person could be watching TV and the other could be sleeping in the bedroom with no noise. Since the location in the basement, we can hear the pipes with water running through. Could hear some sounds above, but not too much. The shower is a bit small and located in a closet, the kitchen has a hot plate which was helpful. The location was close to a bus route to a metro station on weekdays, however, it was a bit of a walk to restaurants and stores since I had no car when my wife took the car to work. Over all it was a great place to stay and the host was very helpful.

Eric was a fantastic host—responsive, welcoming, and thoughtful throughout our stay. The place was exactly as described: clean, comfortable, and in a great location. We really appreciated the little touches that made us feel at home. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

The house was exactly as listed. The rooms were spacious and the gathering spaces were perfect for our family. Would recommend to anyone looking for a house in the Fairfax area!

The house is beautifully decorated and very clean. The highlight for us was definitely the backyard—it’s a great space to relax and enjoy. I don’t have complaints, just a few considerations that would have been helpful to know in advance: There is only one TV in the house, located in the living room. None of the bedrooms have TVs. The basement bedroom does not have an adjacent bathroom, so this may be something to keep in mind, especially for older adults. The kitchen is charming but small and closed off from the living area, which can make it feel a bit separated from the rest of the home. The grill didn’t have a full gas tank. While the host kindly offered to reimburse us, it’s worth checking the tank upon arrival. The backyard is lovely, but there are some exposed roots—just something to be aware of if you have small children. Despite these small notes, I would absolutely rent this home again. We felt safe, it’s just 33 minutes from the D.C. museums.

I had a great stay here! I really loved that I was able to find a place that allowed me to travel with my dog! Great location, very close to everything in DC and great places in Arlington. 10/10 recommend!

Dale’s Airbnb was perfectly appointed with everything we needed for our stay. Lots of special touches throughout the dwelling. A great outdoor space in the front of the house that is surrounded by a perfectly manicured garden area, along with a private patio off the back bedroom. Totally perfect areas to enjoy the many selections of coffees he’s kindly provided. The neighborhood is located close to lots of fun restaurants and is easy to navigate to all the DC monuments. The only regret we had was that we didn’t book for a longer stay.. We’re already looking forward to returning.. Oh, And by the way.. we loved linens so much I asked Dale for the “insider” tip on where he purchased them.. I’m hoping to have as great a nights sleep as I did at his place!!

Stayed here for two nights, Micheal was an impeccable host. The place was just as described, near to everything, and very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat.

Rebecca’s place was much bigger than we expected and had everything we needed. So happy that our dogs were able to stay with us! Beautiful, quiet neighborhood with a path nearby that lead to a playground and area to walk our dogs. Will definitely stay again!

John and Adam were excellent hosts. There were very responsive to my questions and issues. I loved the grounds and very well stocked kitchen. I would gladly stay there again.

Trish’s place was very clean , cozy and spacious! She is a very polite host and we would certainly come back if visiting Bethesda again!

Wonderful stay! Elizabeth was quick to answer questions and made sure we had a great stay. Lovely place, had everything we needed and more. I was so thankful to have a washer and dryer since we had been traveling for so long. Elizabeth even had a washing machine pod for us. Would definitely stay again!

We had a wonderful stay at Scott's apartment for our sightseeing trip to DC. It was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. It was located in a calm residential neighborhood while still being well connected to public transport and nearby dining options. Scott was very helpful and responsive. We would definitely recommend!

Fantastic place to stay for us. We were on the go constantly from one event to the next and Heather’s place was perfectly located for us to freshen up and change easily. There were plenty of restaurants and stores right nearby as well. The proximity to the metro was amazing. After leaving late one night from an event, we realized just how easy and shorter than expected the walk back to the house was. We couldn’t have chosen a better spot for this trip. We’d definitely come back.

My in laws and I had a great stay at Krystof's house. It was a great location for what we needed and we loved the grocery store down the street. The house is beautiful and we enjoyed the open concept kitchen. They were great hosts and when we had questions they were quick to respond and friendly. We will absolutely plan to stay again!

The place has great views on a nice end lot property; super natural light, high ceilings with comfortable beds! Highly recommended.

The communication was great! Such an easy check in and check out! Neighborhood was quiet and close to several amenities! It was comfy and even though we weren’t there all the time it felt like home. We would definitely stay there again!!

This home is so tastefully decorated and comfortable. Even though it's an older home with original wood on floors and stairs, the wall finishes looks fairly fresh and the kitchen is all upgraded with current amenities. I was pleasantly surprised that it had a large backyard with lawn furniture, grass and trees. The sun room was so comfortable for seating and playing cards, and the office had a nice futon-type bed that folded out for extra sleeping space. The primary bedroom, walk in closet, and bath are super large and beautiful. Lots of restaurants were within a mile of the house, including a Trader Joe's. The only drawback was car sounds at night from Washington Blvd but we got used to it. During our reservation process, Aman addressed my many questions quickly and fully, particularly in terms of what they had for my 1 year old grandson (toys, high chair, port a crib). During our stay, we also communicated easily a few times as questions came up.

I had an outstanding stay at Mitri’s place. Mitri was incredibly responsive and made the check-in process smooth and hassle-free. The space itself was immaculate, thoughtfully decorated, and stocked with all the essentials. The location was perfect—quiet yet close to local attractions and amenities. I particularly appreciated the comfortable room and shared spaces, and the attention to detail that made it feel like a home away from home. I will forever be grateful for the amazing weekend my wife and I spent at the Dulles Executive Resort. It was love at first sight when we checked in after an overwhelmed 5 hours red eye flight. We needed a secluded place to rest and it was far better than what we had hoped for even beyond a stretch of our imagination. Beside being conveniently located less than 10 minutes away from IAD, the DER offers so many amenities..Our host welcoming attitude left no room for reproach.
