On a little fruit farm in the woods of the South Downs National Park. We're in the centre of the hamlet of West Dean Just a mile from the wonderful wild beach at Cuckmere Haven and near to some ancient Villages hidden in the valley. Wild life and woodland welcome you to an old barn with a great ambience. Great walks along the South Downs Way towards the Seven Sisters Cliffs and on to Birling Gap. And some good Pubs to try by the river where dogs are welcome .
“My wife and I stayed for 4 nights in October/November. We arrived to some nice personal touches such as lovely homemade cake and some milk in the fridge. Excellent location for walking from the doorstep onto the South Downs. Great walk to the Seven Sisters via East Dean. The farm shop has a nice selection of jams and chutneys. Also Jo and Julian have a selection of French wines to purchase. Best pub is the Plough and Harrow (5 minutes by car or 35 by the South Downs way) Highly recommend this small snug accommodation for two.”

“I just loved Lorraine’s place. Although the listing was not too big, it was very warm and cozy and it felt like home. Everything was neat and clean and comfortable. The additional treats set in the room was very thoughtful and I especially enjoyed the handmade cookies that were provided. They were simply amazing :) There was plenty of space on the driveway to park which was helpful since we wanted to go in and out to visit the seven sisters. Would definately recommend!!”
Please read. I have a double and single room so can accommodate up to three people. Both bright and airy rooms on 1st floor overlook a well kept garden. The bathroom is for guests private use. I will only let both rooms together and will not accept 2 separate bookings at the same time. If 2 rooms are booked for 2 people there is an additional £10 charge for the second room to cover laundry and cleaning. The extra charge is not applicable if booking for 3 people
“If you stay with Pam you can expect a home from home. It is very clean and the bed is very comfortable. The television in the bedroom works perfekt and we had tea and coffee in our bedroom for a cupa first thing in the morning. We prefer a continental breakfast so for us coffee and toast was fine. We could use the kitchen if we wanted but the little town Seaford offers enough in restaurants and pubs. Who wants to cook on holidays? For the car there was a space off road in front of the house and all in all it is a perfekt place to stay for a few days or even a week or two. Pam is a great host and we have had nice conversations over breakfast. We would stay there again.”
