Beautiful house, as shown in the photos. We felt very comfortable and at home. Super close to downtown Antigua. We hope to return soon.

This is a beautiful Airbnb close to La Merced. It’s very quiet and had plenty of space for our large group. There were screens on the master bedroom doors but, it would be helpful to have screens on the doors of the other bedrooms as there is no air conditioning and there were mosquitos.

2nd time staying at Sor Juana and its more dreamy than I remember. Go ahead and book this place NOW. The rooms are massive, the terrace is gorgeous and the staff are amazing. The breakfast provided was delicious and we were even able to wash and dry our clothes since we hiked Acatenango one of the days. Its also spacious enough for everyone to hang out in different areas of the house so you dont ever feel crowed. Cant say enough good things about this place. One quirk we didn’t realize is that the showers take a bit to warm up, so just let the water run for a few minutes before jumping in.

Excellent place, excellent location, excellent service. I would definitely repeat this stay, we loved every detail of the house. A nice place to rest. Highly recommended, they were very friendly and always attentive!

It was great for our family to reunite from the US and Guatemala. We had an amazing stay at this beautiful beach house! The house is spacious, stylish, and just steps from the beach. The private pool was a highlight—perfect for cooling off after a day in the sun. Don Estuardo was incredibly attentive and made sure all our family’s needs were met, from recommendations to helping with anything we needed. We loved the peaceful setting and breathtaking sunsets. Highly recommend for a relaxing, unforgettable vacation!

Everything is very nice and cozy. The facilities were impeccable and everything was at hand. The atmosphere is very safe and private, just what we were looking for with my family. Something to distract us and not worry about anything. The staff were very attentive and friendly and were always there to help us with everything. Everything was perfect.

This place is beautiful and unique. Location was perfect. Our grandkids loved the pool. Having pool towels was great! The beds were so comfortable. Having shampoo and conditioner was appreciated and even a nice touch having nice smelling lotion in the bathrooms. We would love to stay again if we can. I think we were lucky to get this place last minute.

We spent a delightful week at this lovely townhome. Arriving late at night in Antigua, we so appreciated the breakfast welcome basket of banana bread, marmalade, coffee and flor de Jamaica juice. The house is beautifully furnished and spacious with plenty of room for the 7 of us to spread out. Located in a gated community a couple of blocks from the hustle and bustle of Antigua’s busy streets, the home’s setting is strikingly tranquil – and perfect for sleeping. Our family loved the solar heated swimming pool surrounded by bougainvillea and hanging ferns. Philippa and Flor, the host and the manager, were so responsive and helpful. Flor shared some excellent restaurant recommendations with us. The guidebook to the house (and Antigua) was the best I’ve ever seen at an Airbnb. And the housekeepers Mikaela and Karla were so welcoming. We can’t wait to return!

Highly recommended. Comfortable and very clean. The pool is cleaned every day and the staff are very professional, helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the beach and the view. Worth the investment. We would definitely like to return.

The accommodation is as described. Food, safe, clean, with parking, fluid communication with staff. The place is nice and there are restaurants in the area, you can also cook in the cabin there is everything you need. Important that the final lapse at the destination is terracería and a small and low cart may have inconveniences, especially in the rainy season.

The cabin was right along the edge of the lake and surrounded by nature. Really peaceful place to go relax for a weekend.

I stayed at Balam Ya Rentals and it was truly one for the books. The property felt luxurious, spacious, and incredibly private—perfect for a restful retreat by Lake Atitlán. From the private driveway and designated parking space to the lush surroundings, everything about the space invited relaxation. What made the experience especially memorable was the attentive and kind team. They were always available to help us coordinate taxis, meals, and even a private boat to explore the lake and its surrounding villages. While some services came at a higher-than-average price, the level of comfort, ease, and care made it more than worth it. If you’re looking for a peaceful, elevated experience in Lake Atitlán with top-tier hospitality and privacy, this is the place.
