Simply put, Georgoshouse is a little slice of heaven on earth! There is nothing pretentious to be found here. This is a family-run home with rooms to rent and a nice little taverna. The owners and staff are very kind and welcoming. And the pet-friendly environment is something I really appreciate. A sweet little seaside oasis, you can come here to escape the bustling crowds of the more touristy areas of Crete. The drive there is visually stunning and the heights a little dizzying. It is a bit scary if you have fear of heights, as the road is narrow without shoulders or guardrails. However, another option is to park in Hora Sfakion and take a water taxi over instead. That's what I'll do next time!

Firstly, ahuge thank you to George and Christina for letting us stay at their wonderful Property. As hosts they were absolutely wonderful and made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived until we left . Christina is so lovely and showed us round the property how to use everything and seemed that absolutely nothing would be to much trouble if we needed anything at all. We have stayed in some wonderful properties all over Europe, Australia, Japan, and Morocco . This is definitely one of our favourite Airbnb‘s we have used. Firstly, the property is exactly as described. The photos are a mirror image of what you will see hen you arrive. One of the best things about the property is how homely it feels and the house has everything you need. My boys loved the basketball & pool the outside movie projector tops it off. Book this! Amalen Suites (only 5 for the entire property) is in the perfect spot! Close to everything but at night quiet and extremely secure! My favorite part of my stay was the staff that ran Amalen! Thank you so much Maria, Jakob, Tolis, and Josie!!! Everyone was so so so kind and gave amazing recommendations for my stay. The breakfast served every morning was phenomenal as well!!! Oh and! My all time favorite products are used at this location (Olive Era) so I was able to buy some bottles to take home too. And because I was traveling alone they checked in with me everyday and made sure I was safe during my stay which means a lot! I truly had an amazing time at this hotel and highly highly HIGHLY RECOMMEND for couples that are traveling through Crete. The city in which Amalen is located is large and can be tough to find parking all of the time so I also did love that this was close to many restaurants, shops, IG worthy cute alleys and a 2 minute walk to the ocean. Thank you!!

We really enjoyed staying at the Fedra Suites. The appartement is nice, comfortable and nicely decorated. We enjoyed the terrace to relax with the nice view. It was quiet despite having neighbours in the appartement beside. Georgos was very responsive and friendly. There are good restaurants that can be reached by walk (2-4 min of walk distance). Also very close to Plakias (5-7 min by car). This area is much quieter than the north of the Island. It is really a nice place to relax and absorb the beauty of the sea and landscape. We really enjoyed staying at this place and hope having the chance to return there. Nathalie and Dominick

We had a wonderful stay at Selena Beach Front Villa. The location is peaceful and just a short walk from the beach, with easy access to great tavernas and local shops. The villa is beautifully designed, very clean, spacious, and well-equipped, with a lovely private pool that made our stay even more relaxing. We were warmly welcomed with a generous basket of fruits, snacks, juice, a bottle of wine, and local olive oil – such a thoughtful gesture. Communication with our host Kais was excellent – always kind, helpful, and quick to respond. Thank you for the warm hospitality! We would definitely love to return. Highly recommended.

Great place right on the beach, around 20-30 mins approx outside rethymno and close to Lake Kournas. Believe there is a bus you can catch to Rethymno. Peaceful, relaxing and lovely well equipped house. We were a family of 4, 1 one 6yr and one 9 year old. Lovely mountain and sea views. We were warmly welcomed by Tonia who explained the house and amenities and left some amazing little cakes which were a lovely touch.

Our stay at the Moundros luxury villa was a perfect place for the five of us girls to feel like we are at a private retreat. It was easy to get around with a car and the hosts were very helpful when it came to any recommendations. the home was super nice and clean and had the best views. the restaurant down the street is absolutely delicious. Meatballs and stuffed mushrooms were my favorite but you can’t go wrong with anything! We were able to easily explore the other parts of Crete and got the best of the mountain side and the city side. would highly recommend staying in this villa!
