We really loved our stay in this beautiful house with the natural surroundings. It was really nice to have lots of windows and doors to enjoy the natural lighting and the breeze through the trees. The kitchen had everything we needed. The bathrooms were nicely done and had good counter space and storage for our stay. I loved having the closet and dresser in the primary bedroom, which allowed me to put away my clothes. The furniture and lighting was tasteful and added to our stay. The fireplace and sauna were nice accessories. The EV charger was wonderful for us to have and really made our stay much more convenient. We would 1000% stay here again!

I've been to many lakeside AirBnbs, but this one set the bar SO high, it'll be hard to match! The amenities were above & beyond any others-from available fishing rods, to a step stool in the powder room for the 'littles', to a huge assortment of toys for the kids, to something never mentioned but which I appreciated--dimmer switches on lights! The kitchen was incredibly well stocked - I found literally every single thing we needed. I have never felt more at home, literally, at a lakeside place! Spectacular views and vibe from deck! Watching the geese on the water daily was lovely. And he mud room was SUPER helpful to have! The well-coordinated woodsy-themed decor/blankets were much appreciated. Coffee on the deck with a cozy blanket in the morning ... mmmmm! Many thanks to Bryan & Becky for their attention to detail and helpfulness! Not only was Bryan super efficient w/communications, but I felt like I was talking to a helpful friend, not just a host.

This entire experience was amazing! Leslie, the host, was great with communication and helping with any questions we had. The property was beautiful, the location was perfect. We had over a dozen people in the property and it didn't feel cramped at all. The host was flexible and even assisted in adding another night when we wanted to stay longer. I Highly Recommend this property and host!

This is a real gem. What a wonderful trip for us with Black Diamond house. Brian and co hosts were very responsible and thoughtful fantastic hosts. House is super clean, modern, newly renovated, great view and beautiful surroundings, quiet peaceful safe full of decorations and amenities including warm jacuzzi with peaceful heavenly neighbors. Dream came true in New Virginia. Lots of things to do in the nature also. I would definitely come back to Brian’s place.

Great place to stay, super close to the slopes! Walkable to Timberline which is very convenient on a busy day! Very Comfortable space with a great fireplace!

my family and I stayed at Gina's for the weekend skiing at Snowshoe Mountain. Gina's place is absolutely beautiful. It was beautifully decorated and very accommodating to our needs. It was also only 30 mins away from Snowshoe. I definitely recommend this home for skiing at Snowshoe or just a relaxing weekend get away.

I hesitate to leave a review because this place is just too beautiful. If you love wild nature, being right in the middle of it, being able to (kind of safely) hike to an absolutely gorgeous waterfall and stream while still having many modern luxuries snd amenities in your stay, this is the place for you. Top notch game room too…really tastefully and wonderfully appointed house, I miss it already.

The home has lots of character and charming details. We enjoyed our time and loved cooking together. The living space is open, inviting, and relaxing. It was a great family atmosphere. The tree swing and fire pit were fun. The shower being on the first floor separate from the bedrooms upstairs was unexpected but didn't cause any problems for our group. Also, whoever sleeps in the tree house room should know they'll need to descend a ladder to use the bathroom. This house is super great and the mountains surrounding are breathtaking. We would definately stay again.

This rental was absolutely great! The host was super sweet and extremely flexible with checking in and out, which meet our needs! Lots to do for our kids, beautiful scenery, and very well kept. Highly recommend and would like to come back again!

This house was a great basecamp for our two families. We had plenty of room for the 3 kids and all of our (5 adults) biking gear. A fantastic mud room made it easy to keep the house clean and organized. The kitchen was roomy enough for us too.

The home was perfect for a family getaway! The views were amazing and my older kids could not get enough of the hot tub! Check-In was a breeze thanks to the keypad. Matt and Nancy were quick to respond to our questions. There was so much to do within a few minutes drive, checking out the towns of Davis and Thomas, enjoying beautiful hikes through nature. I was so thrilled to finally be staying in a rental home that was quaint but not cluttered, had enough hooks, pots, coffee maker and Keurig, and knives that were actually sharp. The home was well equipped with a pack and play for our little one and board games for the adults. There were some spices but I think the cleaning crew clears out any condiments in the fridge. So, you really have to bring everything you'll need for cooking. We didn't use it but there were waffle makers and a sandwich press. The road the house is on is easy to miss because of a little dip in the road so keep an eye out! My kids are already asking to go back!

Otter's Den is quiet, scenic, and relaxing. A large, comfortable house surrounded by forest with no neighbors in sight. Nicely equipped kitchen plus a large back deck for grilling and basking in the pristine hot tub. My wife and I especially enjoyed coffee in the rocking chairs on the covered front porch one quiet, rainy morning, listening to birdcalls and the nearby babbling stream. There is plenty to do in the area year-round -- lovely hikes in Dolly Sods wilderness and in 2 nearby state parks, one with a spectacular heated outdoor pool and a nice golf course. And winter sports abound with 2 downhill ski resorts and several cross-country trails within minutes. We haven't found a better way to get away -- we will definitely be back.

Beautiful house, good value for the money. In a valley next to a stream with mountains all around on each side. Hot tub was great. Main downside is the sound proofing on the inside - sound carried from the main living area into almost all the other rooms.

This cabin was a dream for us! It's very private, yet equipped with all the modern amenities. The beds were super comfy and each bed had multiple sizes and varying softness of pillows, so you could choose what was right for you. We cooked the entire week, and this cabin was completely stocked with cookware, dishes, and a great dishwasher for cleanup. Probably my favorite thing was the screened-in porch. We spent a lot of time out there with coffee, food, and wine, just relaxing and sharing time together. The entire perimeter of the house is fenced in which was very convenient for letting my dog out and not feeling worried about him running off. The host was very responsive to us anytime we needed anything. The location of the cabin does not allow you to just go out and walk though. The drive is steep, rocky, and bumpy, but I felt this was the only drawback of the property.

We stayed at David's wonderful home for a few days around the New Year's. The kitchen was well appointed, the beds comfortable and the gas fireplace was really comforting when it was cold and stormy outside. wonderful location close to the national wildlife refuge, State Parks and the great little towns of Davis and Thomas West Virginia. highly recommended!

We had a great stay. It's a lovely home with plenty of space and a pretty view. The kitchen was spotless and had everything we needed to make our meals at home. Getting 10" of snow over the weekend was a bonus! We took the little ones sledding out back before hopping over to the big sled run at Blackwater Falls. I highly recommend a four wheel drive vehicle if your visit is planned for the winter months - we would have had a tough time getting in and out of the neighborhood without it after the snow. All in all a really great weekend!
