Farmstay vacation rentals in Elbe

Gretel and Alexander are unique hosts with a big heart for small and large guests! The house is cozily furnished, the kitchen is very well equipped and the beds were comfortable. We especially enjoyed the great garden and the kids had a lot of fun feeding the chickens, on the porch swing and in the paddling pool. We were lovingly provided with eggs, jam and vegetables and received tips from both about the surroundings. We look forward to the next time we can be guests again!

We spent our honeymoon in the construction trailer and found exactly what we expected: A cozy, clean nest, which was designed with a lot of love, an incomparable proximity to nature and a lot of peace and privacy. The hosts were always responsive and inquired several times about our satisfaction. The sauna was easy to use and quickly got nice and warm - a dream to be able to put your legs up in the garden with the sheep between the sauna sessions. In the utility kitchen, everything you need is available (although we actually had everything for catering directly in the garden anyway), there is a fridge with drinks, juice from our own farm and eggs from the neighbors at fair prices. The area is very quiet, but historically also very exciting and in combination with bike and the ferry within walking distance, everything is easily accessible. Our highlight: the small, almost private Elbe beach directly opposite the house 💗

We had only checked in for one night to celebrate a birthday. Slightly different than expected from the photo of the house, the house is located in the village and on the left and right are more houses. Behind the house is the old farm, with chickens , rabbit goats and a pretty aviary. In the summer you can also stay in the garden and eat outside at tables with benches. For an outdoor coffee, the weather was just as good. We were welcomed so warmly that we immediately felt at home. Petra is a very nice hostess. Arrival and departure were handled very accommodating, even the day before us was blocked to allow an earlier arrival. There was even a delicious birthday cake from Petra. There were also tips for things to do. The Heiligengrabe monastery is very worthwhile. Wittstock is also worth a visit. However, we could not explore much more in the short time. It was a very nice short stay.

Very nice area, very clean, everything prepared with a lot of love, great "host parents" very loving, you should not miss the eggs of the house, more is really not possible, we felt very comfortable and give a clear recommendation! Thank you thank you thank you thank you! Tanja & Stefan

We felt very comfortable, especially our four-year-old son liked the stay very much. The hosts Karoline and Matthias are very child-friendly and the farm is ideal for relaxing and for a short break from city life. Everything was very clean and lovingly prepared - we will definitely be back soon.

Beautiful accommodation with lots of functionality. Located in the middle of the forest, the outdoor area (terrace and forest) looks a bit messy, but that is probably due to the location itself. The place is recommended!

We were guests of Birgit & Frank for 4 days at the German Gymnastics Festival in Leipzig. We were received very nicely and provided with many good tips about our stay (transport connections, Park & Ride, etc.) The apartment is small but nice and equipped with everything you need for a short break. If you want to switch off in nature and yet want to be in a city relatively quickly if necessary, then you are in good hands here. We had perfect weather and took beautiful excursions.

We wanted a short break from city life and that is exactly what we got: picturesque nature in the area, wide fields, a beautiful old estate, where the apartment is located in the back, absolute silence at night, relaxing peace during the day. Henrike is a great and very nice host and the rest of her family is also very nice and helpful. We and our dog felt very much at home. We will be happy to come back!

Anja is a great host with a big heart. We felt very comfortable and warmly welcomed from the first second. It's great to talk to her about God and the world. The accommodation is lovingly and very cozily furnished. There is nothing missing and it is very well maintained. It is a wonderful place to relax and recharge energy and warmth. The animals are enchanting and totally cuddly. We had great fun walking with the mini-Shettys, cuddling with the donkeys and dogs and watching the pigs and chickens. We will definitely be back. We spent a great few days in this beautiful house. The children loved to count the numerous snails, discover the dike with the handcart or make bread on a stick in the garden. In the morning, we saw a deer with two fawns up close and were able to observe numerous birds. And Mechthild and her husband were also very nice hosts with whom you could have a chat in the garden from time to time.

I had a wonderful stay in this apartment. The accommodation is very well equipped, so nothing is missing. I was particularly impressed by the cleanliness – everything was immaculately maintained. The rental worked smoothly, the communication was friendly and straightforward. I can definitely recommend this apartment and would book here again anytime!

An absolute insider tip! The place is beautiful and very tastefully decorated – with a lot of love for detail. The sauna was a special highlight. But also the fire pit in the evening or the spontaneously set up trampoline which our son could use. If you are looking for peace and nature, this is the place to be: in the middle of nowhere, with great running and hiking trails right outside the door. Joanna and Andreas are fantastic hosts – always available, incredibly helpful and just lovely. Her two dogs also made our stay even more enjoyable. We will be happy to come back! The whole stay in this cottage was amazing! There are plenty of opportunities for walks or longer trips in the area. The environment is very quiet, it is not noisy. The host was welcoming, wrote clear concise instructions, which when you follow, you can't go wrong. We'll try to find time and come back. If you are interested in accommodation, do not hesitate and book!!

There were two of us with a dog in Galina's apartment for 9 days. The apartment is spacious, very well equipped and designed with a lot of love for detail. We felt right at home We also really liked the large garden and the location by the lake. Galina is a very likeable host who was always available to us and gave us great tips for activities in the area.

We felt "puddelwohl" [very comfortable] at Renate and Clemens' place, with the friendly alpacas and poodle Artur, and felt at home from the beginning. The apartment and kitchen are well equipped with everything, the nights are absolutely quiet, and right next door is a beautiful forest for walking and hiking. We were also allowed to visit the alpacas whenever we wanted. And urban destinations such as Lübeck were also quickly accessible (in 20 minutes by car or from the nearby Ratzeburg train station). In short: Everything was great!

Very cozy 'cabin in the woods', it was amazing staying there.

A great house, a quiet location. Perfect for up to 10 guests. The space is there. Check-in worked wonderfully, communication from the host was fast and reliable. He makes a friendly impression. The house really has everything you need. The garden is huge and everything is very well maintained. We can't wait for the next visit.

Cathrin is a great host. Very responsive and ready to help. Her place is very nice. And the garden is breathtaking. I would describe it as a two bedroom apartment with a nice beautiful loft that can function as a third bedroom. The space that is listed as a third bedroom is a couch in the kitchen area. If you are traveling with little kids this might function well for you but we were three adults and everyone needed some privacy. We solved the problem by using the beautiful loft area as a third bedroom and all was good. Overall, good experience.

La Casita - small house, very big! We enjoyed the 3 days and 2 nights to the fullest, we lacked nothing! Susanne was a great hostess. Everything was as described. Sweet as a starting point for tours in the region was ideal for us. Eisenach is close and was worth the trip anyway.

Katharina and Christian's apartment is very quiet on a farm. The courtyard is not directly on the street, which is very nice. You can only hear the sounds of nature. The apartment was prepared with a lot of love - every detail fits together and everything has its place. We stayed here as a large family (2 adults + 3 children) for 5 days and felt very comfortable. Unfortunately, we had rather mixed weather, but in fact there are many activities in the area that can be easily reached by car. We had a great time and found Katharina and Christian to be very pleasant and likeable hosts.

Looking for peace and quiet just the right thing

The stay was exactly as we imagined it to be. Get out into the green with a beautiful garden, lake access and some lakes around the corner. The sauna was a dream, just like the fireplace that simply brings in great warmth and coziness. Unfortunately, we only had one night stay at this beautiful place and would be happy to come back 🙃
