Kominka in Miyajima that warms the heart

"Guest House Shin" is located one street away from Miyajima's Machiya-dori. 　As you pass through the entrance curtain, you are greeted by a stylish bamboo wall reminiscent of a Kyoto tenya, and a stone path leads you to the courtyard.The courtyard also has a nice balance of white marble and moss, which contributes to the calm atmosphere.Glass doors are arranged so that the courtyard can be seen from the living room. 　The building is accessible only to guests through the garden, so there is no need to worry about anyone.From the outside, it looks like an ordinary private house, but once you step inside, the atmosphere changes, and that's what makes the inn so charming.I heard that the previous owner had a long-standing passion for gardening and had a diverse range of hobbies.However, as I mentioned at the beginning, I didn't intend to start an inn, so there are no bath facilities (there is a shower).However, you can use the nearby inn as an outdoor bath.The first floor is a living room, and the second floor has two adjoining Japanese-style rooms that serve as bedrooms, so up to 6 people can stay comfortably. 　In the courtyard, there is a word written in white stones surrounded by moss.It was created by a gardener with a playful spirit in the past, and it is the origin of the inn's name.They want to welcome guests with all their heart and hope that guests will have a relaxing time.

The inn is a two-story, detached, and courtyard built in the Edo period in the center of the "Keihara Town Preservation District (National Important Traditional Buildings Preservation District)", a 13-minute walk from J R Takehara Station and a 20-minute drive from Hiroshima Airport. In the morning and evening, there is almost no traffic, and you can spend a quiet time like you have traveled back in time to the town of the Edo period. The inn is about 1 hour from central Hiroshima City by public transport via Kure Station. The neighbourhood of the inn is full of old houses, and a walk around the area offers a unique sea and townscape view and a time-travel experience. In the narrow alleys you will find an okonomiyaki shop run by a lady, an old sake brewery, a café in an old house and a pottery gallery. In front of the inn is a narrow strait where you can watch the ships coming and going from your window.
