Vacation rentals with a fire pit in East Haven

We had a wonderful 4-day stay at Marie’s cottage in Westbrook, CT. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that Marie put a lot of thought into creating a comfortable and welcoming experience for her guests. The house was clean, well-equipped, and had everything we needed. As a mom, I especially appreciated how family-friendly the space was. My almost two-year-old daughter was thrilled with the chest full of toys and books! It made our stay that much more relaxing and enjoyable. Although the weather didn’t cooperate for beach time, the location was perfect for exploring nearby towns like Madison, Old Saybrook, and Niantic. There were plenty of great local food options, especially if you love seafood. The neighborhood itself was quiet and peaceful, ideal for a relaxing escape from the city. Marie was a fantastic host... responsive, kind, and accommodating. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this cottage and look forward to staying again in the future!

A gem of a home if you’re looking for a waterfront property with great lake access. David’s home is well stocked with everything you need - from baking to cooking , from laundry to great choices of board games , a nice library if reading by the water is what you care to do . If you’re a bass fisherman like me , you have direct access to Squantz Pond, which can be a great fishing alternative to nearby Candlewood Lake. The property is close to the main road and traffic can be a nuisance to folks who are not used to it . City folks like me don’t mind it. David was a great host , very responsive . There was a slight miscommunication during check in , but that was taken care of right away . My family hopes to come back again . BTW, for those who don’t know how to play the piano , take some brief lessons before coming and impress your folks. Joe

Yu’s place was beautiful and right next to the beach! We had a wonderful stay. She was very responsive and communicative. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space! I loved the kitchen. The beach was ideal for my family’s trip! 12 mins to New Haven!

We had a wonderful time at this charming house! It was truly a delightful experience, as the home was equipped with everything we could ever need. One highlight for us was the amazing showers—definitely a treat after a long day of exploring. Additionally, the location was perfect, making it easy to enjoy all the local attractions. We all agree that this stay exceeded our expectations, and we can't wait to return!

Kristen was a super host! My bridesmaids and I used her space to get ready for my wedding! Not only is the space beautiful and light for pictures but Kristen was very responsive and accommodating in telling everyone where to park and how to enter the space! She even wrote a personalized note and left us a gift, something that went above and beyond!! Book this place, you will not regret it!!!

This is a lovely upstairs apartment about a half mile from a small marina with several good restaurants. You will want to get to the beach in Madison, a state park, rather than the Clinton beach which has high fees for non-residents. With that said, the gate is not attended after 6 pm when I sat and ate a lobster roll and then explored some of the history plaques to be found on the point. Catherine’s place was the perfect site for me to rest after a Hoffman retreat.

This place is peaceful and beautiful. Surrounded by mature trees, a pond, and a clear night sky with great stargazing. The apartment was stylish and cute. Thank you!

The location and comfort can’t be beat. We stayed at the professor’s flat for a full semester while I was teaching at Yale and it was perfect for a couple and a cat. We even had a couple of friends visit and stay over comfortably during that time. We truly lived in the place like it was our home, because it felt like it: it was cozy, and despite a smaller kitchen than we’re used to, it was well equipped, and we were able to cook a lot and even host dinner parties. It’s very conveniently located to everything in New Haven/the East Rock neighborhood & we walked everywhere. Also very convenient to the freeway. A parking spot was included in our rent as well. Remy, Hilary and Sal were always responsive and ready to take care of anything that needed attention. Remy also gave us and all the tenants extras like baked goods, and samples of her great Italian cooking on occasion (around the holidays). They also gave us fire logs for the fireplace we used our entire last month in town.

What a lovely surprise this place turned out to be. It was peaceful, beautifully kept, and had such a warm, welcoming energy. Everything felt thoughtfully arranged, from the lighting to the kitchen setup. The space was quiet, spacious, and muy cómodo—perfect for relaxing or sharing a meal with family. I appreciated the ease of access, especially with no stairs to worry about. It made our stay that much more comfortable. The neighborhood felt safe, and everything we needed was just a short drive away. The host clearly takes pride in the details, and it shows. And knowing a jacuzzi will be added soon.I already told my daughter: hay que regresar. This is the kind of place you come back to. Five stars, happily.

Christian’s place was perfect for our needs. Passes for parking were included, place was cozy and clean, and all of downtown is walkable from the apartment. Christian responded quickly and gave some great recommendations.

I chose Marlene’s lovely spot primarily because it was in a location convenient for short trips to visit family and friends in Wallingford, Middlebury and Middletown while on my way south from New Hampshire. The peaceful, quiet surroundings along with a spotless, well-appointed accommodation made it very appealing: highly recommended.

Brian is a great host. The house is exceptionally clean and good. All the amenities are as listed. I highly recommend Brian’s listings. Five stars!

This was a great place to stay especially if you love the outdoors . Really loved the set up and all the amenities . Highly recommend for a weekend away. You won’t be disappointed .

Our stay in CT was truly as peaceful and relaxing as it could get! The cottage was in pristine condition and we felt right at home. I would highly recommend this lovely space to anyone wanting to stay in the area. The host is very responsive as well which made checking in and out super easy for us.

This place the atmosphere the surroundings it was all so lovely and needed, the price paid off. I loved the views the water and the shower outside. The bed was so comfortable very clean the place overall was very comfy I felt so comfortable. I recommend this place for a stay if you love to be away from people and need calmness. I’ve been to numerous Airbnb homes before, but this home was by far THE most gorgeous and breathtaking experience I’ve ever encountered! The design, architecture, lighting, & functionality of the home felt so well intentioned! Every detail was well thought of and every nuance about the house appeared to have a meaningful purpose! The windows that allowed nature and sunlight to come in was purely art! I felt I was in a heavenly oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the city and a place I could escape and get away from with my partner! We didn’t want to leave! We would be beyond ecstatic to return in the near future! Thank you, Christine + James for being such gracious & accommodating hosts!

Quaint little space. It indeed was really only big enough for a couple. We felt bad arriving so early in the morning as we didnt realize the space was actually attached to her house. We just tried to stay quiet and respectful. Its location is in a great area, we spent some time walking in the morning, nice little neighborhood, beach was walking distance from the space. Very close to restaurants and stores. We would definitely stay again if in the area!

Our stay was fantastic! A secluded peaceful retreat while still being close to town. We were in town for a family function and this was great to feel like getting away from it all. Great overall! Highly recommend

We spent a long weekend at Dennis’ place and it was nothing short of amazing. Our aim was to relax and enjoy the lake, and we did just that. The house was exactly as described, matched and exceeded our expectations; furnished and the kitchen had everything we needed and more. If we’re back in CT, we won’t hesitate to book the house again! Alex’s home was a vintage design beauty! You could tell how much thought and detail he put into his home. The amenities were wonderful, including a gorgeous living room, great sound system, well-stocked kitchen, outdoor wood burning chimney, BBQ, and bucolic tree-surrounded hot tub (which we loved). But the best part was Alex himself. What a nice guy! He welcomed us at check-in with delicious freshly baked sourdough bread and homemade ginger cookies later in our stay. He also gave us fantastic advice on things to do in the area. Overall, you’ll love this home nestled in the CT woods!
