Guest house Mökki is located in Shinano-cho in northern Nagano Prefecture, blessed with forests, lakes and snow. There are nature-rich sightseeing spots such as Kurohime Kogen, Lake Nojiri, and Togakushi in the vicinity. The building of the pioneering era was renovated fashionably with plenty of natural materials such as pure cedar, cypress and plaster.We also paid attention to the interior and kitchen utensils so that you can enjoy "living". In the back of the building, there is a forest with a stream, and you can enjoy a walk in search of the blessings of nature, as well as swing hammocks.In the east house by the river, you can enjoy BBQ and bonfires without worrying about the weather. Cat Forest # Autumn Forest is a 2-person accommodation with 7 cats and 1 dog. ***It is not suitable for those who hate cats because they live on the deck used by cats (you can give food or water depending on the situation^^) They are gentle and follow people well. It includes a private deck where you can enjoy barbecue and fire holes even when it rains. (Bring firewood or buy it at the accommodation) The location of the accommodation is located under the recreational forest in Joongmi Mountain, Yangpyeong-gun, and there are 2 famous valleys within 10 minutes by car if you want a clear stream of 6 km or more and a deep valley within a 3-minute walk. The accommodation consists of a double floor (1st floor-sofa and armchair, 2nd floor-bedroom) and is about 60m2. You can go directly to the barbecue deck through the large window in the front. The Cat Forest is divided into spring, summer, and autumn forests, and each has its own private deck, so you can spend a peaceful holiday in a separate flow. This is a house with a superb view overlooking Lake Nojiri. There are several ski slopes (Myoko, Kurohime, and Masao), about 15-20 minutes away, making it a perfect base for winter sports. Enjoy a wood-burning sauna and a stunning water bath. There are no private houses around, so you can also watch music and movies with loud noises. Since it is a house nestled in the mountains, we will do our best to take care of it, but during the warmer months, insects can be seen.It snows a lot in winter.In autumn, the leaves dance. You must also adjust the fire in the wood stove yourself. It's not an easy house to live in, but it's got an incredible view. Enjoy cooking with a kitchen counter with stunning views, condiments, and a cooker.(There is no equipment for BBQ.)

Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.
