Very cozy, clean room with a mini-fridge and filtered water. They just put a new memory foam mattress on the bed, which was very comfortable. Stella was quick to respond to messages and very kind and accommodating. It was so nice to come back to this very private and quiet room after a long day out in the city! Within walking distance of several metro stations.

The personal touches throughout the space made it truly special. It’s clear the hosts put their heart into every corner of this home and garden. My bedroom was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. I can not thank my host Claudia enough for her warmth and kindness. I immediately felt welcomed and at home. I had one very long day at a training and didn’t return until after dark. It was such an incredible relief to get “home” and see Claudia.

My 5 night stay at Aleida’s in Tarrytown was fantastic. Aleida was a very helpful and friendly host, I felt very at home with her. Aleida always replied to any questions promptly. The house is in a great location, only about 5 minutes walk from the station. It is also very close to the river Hudson, and you can do a beautiful riverside walk to see the Tappan Zee bridge and Sleepy Hollow lighthouse. As a woman travelling on my own, I felt very safe in Tarrytown. A couple of times I got the train back from Grand Central late at night, and I always felt comfortable walking back from Tarrytown station to the house. I also felt safe walking around the town in the evening. It’s a very safe and friendly place, and only a 50 minute train to Grand Central. There are plenty shops and things to do in the town too. I would recommend booking a show at the historic Tarrytown Music Hall - it’s really special. I will miss my chats over breakfast with Aleida and would love to come back one day.

This place is AMAZING. Everything about it!! Berthold and Fatima are so kind and helpful, very warm and friendly people; when Fatima learned it was my birthday, she brought me a little gift of chocolates! They really care about you and want you to be comfortable and feel at home. The private terrace is stunning. I felt back in Italy, but also like I was sitting in the middle of a park. The guesthouse is way larger than I thought; it could easily sleep 4 people. The home is charming and spotlessly clean. I cannot say enough good things. This place is a steal, and I immediately called my parents and friends in hopes of planning future trips back there. It's so beautiful and so so peaceful!!
