Come and enjoy the many cycling and walking routes with many ferry connections, the Gardens of Appeltern and the many fishing and water sports options. Or simply enjoy the tranquillity of our country house.

Are you looking for a cozy, comfortable and quiet place to relax for the two of you? Our apartment has a beautiful view from the bedroom over the polder and adjacent to the living room a large roof terrace facing south. In the morning you will be woken up by the singing of the birds in our garden. The apartment is located in the outskirts of Hanseatic city of Maasbommel on the Gouden Ham (400 m). Here you can cycle, hike, swim, rent a boat, eat out, bowl, water sports, etc.

Our luxurious apartment (60m2), in the converted stable of a beautiful thatched farmhouse, has a separate bedroom (double box spring) with French doors to spacious garden with seating and sun loungers. The apartment has its own sauna, whirlpool, shower and toilet. And nice living room & cozy fireplace. Should you want breakfast or make use of the sauna, we require a limited fee for this (€12.50 p.p. luxury breakfast and €50,- sauna for 2). Minimum stay 2 night

Het huis is met liefde ingericht in Scandinavische stijl om het thuisgevoel te creëren en is voorzien van alle gemakken. De woning biedt alle ingrediënten voor een ontspannen verblijf. De heerlijke hottub en sauna in de riante tuin zullen daar zeker aan bijdragen.

Rural location, peace, space and alpacas

In the guesthouse you immediately feel the relaxing atmosphere. Through the use of natural materials and the view of the garden and the animals, you can really experience the countryside. Outside, you can encounter all kinds of animals, like a hare or a pheasant. And of course the chickens and the alpacas. On the lounge set you see from the guesthouse, you can relax. You walk right into the meadow to get to know the alpacas up close.

Live the Betuwe in ‘Schenkhuys’ Blue Room

Sleeping on the Rhine in our cozy renovated ‘Blue’ room and bathroom in a beautiful old dike house. Within walking distance is the Blue Room, the Grebbeberg and some fantastic hiking/cycling routes along the Waal and Rijn. Also a number of cozy restaurants including ‘t Veerhuis (200m away). You have access to a large part of the garden with lounge area. And possibly in the morning a Betuws breakfast in the garden or in the room.
