Stay a night at our tiny Hobbit House

We are close to Syracuse NY, Jamesville Beach,and Tully. You’ll love our place because - Well, its a Hobbit House :). Very cozy 12 by 12 cabin set in the back of my land right where the woods start. Small cabin good for a couple and maybe a child or two but no more than that. It has an outhouse. If this is sounding too basic or off the grid then please don't book! :) because that's exactly what is. But you also get to say you stayed in a cozy little hobbit house.

This DeRuyter Lake house is the perfect spot to get away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy a peaceful and serene experience. We were fortunate to have great weather so we were able to enjoy the provided Inner Tubes as well as rent kayaks at the General Store down the road. there's plenty to explore in all directions. my partner and I enjoyed driving to all of the different towns and trying many breweries and restaurants. overall we were very happy with our stay and would recommend it and consider staying again in the future.

The Longhorn ranch air b n b was terrific! The space was very clean and Ellen even had a bottle of wine for us upon arrival! The longhorns and the property were both incredible and Teddy their golden retriever came to visit us and we loved him - overall five stars for both the property and the communication! We used this place to sleep while hiking the FLT. It made the hike so much better sleeping in a 5 star yurt.

We had an amazing stay at this property. I would highly recommend it. Beautiful location right by the water. Evenings at this property are wonderful, with indoor fireplace going and moonlight glare off the water. Peaceful and quiet surroundings. The area has a lot of charm and is worthy of exploring. Host was excellent, responsive and informative of local amenities. We will definitely return again!

John’s “camp” was perfect for our small group. The location is great- the lake is literally right at your feet, and while this is not your “luxury” rental, it’s exactly as described. Has the necessities plus a little more- vacuum, towels, Lysol wipes, plates, cups, etc. The spiral staircase has …a learning curve… but kept us laughing all weekend! As a host, John was great- I felt confident that if any issues were to arise (they didn’t) he would make sure we were taken care of. He was accommodating, polite, and friendly as well. We would love to come back!

We used this place two weeks in a row as my daughter transitioned from college to her own apartment. It was a great spot for her and the place was perfect! Hosts were very responsive and available if needed! Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was an unforgettable experience. The environment and interior design of this house are exceptionally beautiful. I was seeking a tranquil vacation spot by the lake. The Lamppost House was the ideal choice, right next to the DeRuyter lake reservoir with a gorgeous view. Kayaks and a paddle boat are available for use, with a launching dock on site. The house features wooden floors and ceilings, as well as a fireplace. The kitchen and dining room are impeccably clean and elegantly situated. The bedrooms and bathrooms were exceptionally tidy, spacious, and immaculate. The property is conveniently located within a fifteen-minute drive of grocery shopping. George is a very friendly and courteous host. He promptly provided assistance whenever required. Overall, this experience was exceptional. We eagerly anticipate returning in the future. Our family thoroughly enjoyed using the pool table and the ambiance of the fireplace. Thank you, George!
