Vacation rentals with beach access in Dane County

Amazing stay, walking distance to the lake and a few food places and only a short drive to anything else you need or want. The place was spotless with good sized bedrooms and a larger living room/ kitchen than we anticipated. Amazing hosts too. Thank you for making us welcome.

Alexander's flat in Madison was perfect for our stay. Right downtown, a stone's throw from the capital, and about a mile from the heart of the UW campus, this home was fantastic with a beautiful view of Lake Mendota. The best part of the experience was how easy it was to work with Alexander. He was very responsive to every question, he was proactive about giving us information needed for an easy and comfortable stay, and he was extremely thorough in the information needed about checking in and out of the apartment. All in, this was a great experience and I would absolutely stay here again. Thanks Alexander. - Joe S

The place was as advertised and more. The bedrooms and bathroom were spacious, and the kitchen and living room were very comfortable. It’s in a great neighborhood with Bernie’s Beach and South Shore Drive/walking path on Lake Monona 2 blocks away. Lakeside Coffee House was a treat three short blocks away. As a former resident of Madison I had forgotten how convenient the Bay neighborhood is to handy thoroughfares. And yet, the neighborhood is very quiet.

Easily one of the best Airbnb’s we stayed in. I would highly recommend it to my friends. Especially for families with children. We stayed at Anja and Chuck’s place in late April for four nights. This was our first visit to Madison. We loved the place. Clean. Has everything. Kitchen was amazing and had everything we needed and we cooked a lot. Kids loved the bunk beds, the games and the piano. Feels very homey and private and designed with so much care and attention to detail. Loved the plants, the art, the books, the music instruments! Parking was convenient and the closed back porch was great for my early work calls when everyone was sleeping. Truly a wonderful place. Anja was very responsive and proactive. Everything was clear. Questions and requests were answered promptly and Anja was super helpful. Would definitely come back if we visit again. Thanks for a lovely visit!

This place was wonderful!!!! Alexander is a wonderful host. He had so many amenities- kitchen spices, dish detergent, shampoo, towels, extra blankets- anything you could think of! Place was so fun- fabulously decorated! Kitchen had everything for us to cook a large family meal! Porch has spectacular views. Very walkable to everywhere. Host responded to everything we asked so kindly and quickly!!!! Wonderful experience! Celebrated our son’s graduation and would recommend to any other family to stay here- it was perfect!!! Thanks.

Our family stayed at Adam's place for a family reunion and we absolutely loved it. Adam's place was as described in both the photos and narrative. The house was clean and easy to figure out. The best part was without a doubt watching the sunset over the lake from the beautiful back deck. We'd definitely stay here again.

Very nice place for family stay in Monona. Especially nice kitchen space and amenities. Our family really enjoyed the screened patio and backyard space, as well as adorable friendly cat.

The place is in a beautiful setting with a state park and a bike trail right next to it as well as a lake! Lots of outdoor activities. No need for Wifi. The only downside is the tap water smell.

We enjoyed our stay and the place was clean, comfortable and relaxing. The outside was beautiful and the lake steps from the back door.

This place was perfect for our group! Jo was super helpful and we enjoyed chatting with her when we checked in.

The house was neat, clean and orderly. Easy to get inside. Bedrooms were amazing and everything was extremely clean. Backyard was so much fun!

Aleen and Joe are great hosts. So communicative and helpful from the start. They live nearby and are there if you need anything. This house is very special - it’s very large, spacious and historic. It’s a home from the 1800s with so many original features. It felt very happy and nostalgic to live here for a week. It may be an “old” house but the hosts keep every inch of it incredibly clean. The neighborhood is friendly and beautiful. The views of the lake from the front porch at sunset are breathtaking. We would love to return one day. This home made us fall in love with Madison.
