Farmstay vacation rentals in County Roscommon

I spent one month at this beautiful home and could not have been happier. The house is very comfortable and well appointed, has great views, loved the glass conservatory - warm in occasional sunshine on cool days, thunderously atmospheric on rainy days. Happy to find yoga mats and a meditation cushion, a pair of wellies to borrow, and very much enjoyed the fireplace and the smell of peat briquettes. The house is very secluded in lovely rural countryside filled with farmland lakes and woods, but only a 20-30 minute drive to several nearby towns with quite a lot going on in them, and of course beautiful nature and hikes and neolithic monuments and medieval ruins in all directions. Nola was extremely helpful and communicative and full of knowledge about the area. Although there's no wired internet, there's quite a strong mobile signal most of the time (I found Eir service to be good enough for streaming and video calls) so the wifi hotspots at the house should serve you well, though sometimes the signal worsens in heavy rain or at occasional other times, but was always steady enough for casual use.

Our 4-night stay was fabulous. Our two-bedroom lodging was lovely, and the picturesque grounds surrounding Crumlin Park House are beautiful. It was quiet and peaceful— yet Galway is just a 30-minute drive away. Maura and John are friendly and helpful hosts. I highly recommend staying here.

Enjoyed a great stay here with my partner from the US. Would love to have been able to rent this place long term so we could have stayed together but sadly, she had to go home. Hopefully, some day!

Very large but welcoming home. Perfect for our family to stay in - some of us working, some of us vacationing, in and out. Great location, 10 mins to Carrick on Shannon and Leitrim Village. Very friendly neighborhood and tons of outdoor space to enjoy the summer weather! Great wifi. Would absolutely stay here again.

Staying with Paul and his family was an absolute pleasure. The surroundings were peaceful and beautiful and their farmhouse was cozy and a wonderful place to stay.

Five stars from start to finish, myself and my family and doggies really enjoyed our stay in Ash Lodge , the location is spectacular with beautiful scenery all around , the welcome basket was a wonderful and extremely welcome touch and we felt spoilt with the homemade scones! The accommodation is a home away from home ! Literally I grew up on a farm and loved this setting and that the family were so welcoming and the kids loved the cows , every aspect is immaculate and so well cared for from the house to the gardens to the comfortable sofas and beds ! We would highly recommend both the host and the accommodation!

Seamus was absolutely fantastic host. From the moment we arrived he made us feel right at home.. provided us with good recommendations for local bits and was just super kind and genuine. We really enjoyed our stay and I can't recommend Seamus as a host enough. Thanks a million for making our weekend a success! 😊

Lovely place in the country if you want to be away from it all. Louise was a charming host - happily dealt with our late arrival and brought us milk and coffee from her own kitchen for the morning as we’d arrived too late to shop on the way

This was our first Airbnb experience, and the bar has been set high! my family of 6 had a great time. the house was a perfect size and the hot tub was a plus! It was ideal for our country escape. I wish we could've stayed longer and explored the local sites and villages. Claire was so helpful and responsive, and even went out of her way to find us a pub with live music! Thank you, Claire, we hope to be back!

We enjoyed our 4 days at Key Cottage with our 2 doggies, lots of lovely walks and swims nearby during great weather 🌞. Peaceful, tranquil location for a relaxing break. We ate at the Honestly cafes both at Carrick and Strand hill, well worth checking out, great food and service ⭐.

Lovely stay at the cabin, perfect location and Brigit and John were so friendly and quick to respond to any questions we had. Cabin is great, huge shower, comfortable lounge area and stocked with all the items you could need. Thanks again for a great stay! ☺️

It was very easy to book and communicate with the host. On check in they showed me everything i needed to know plus a lovely welcome basket! It was idilic and quiet country setting and privacy was well respected along with friendly and helpful hosts. There are actually a few more bits other than listed cutlery etc. There is exactly what you need for 1 or 2 people to comfortably cook and eat in the hut. Its also cosy and warm and very well thought out! Very accessible location too with athlone and surrounding areas a short and easy drive away. Probably my best airbnb experience of hosts and property so far!

We loved the adorable and cozy cabin, within 10 min drive to amenities. The hosts’ dogs visited with us everyday and the property was beautiful to walk. Very private and comfortable!

We had such a lovely stay, Eddie and Anne were very welcoming and helpful. The cottage was clean and tidy, when we arrived they had left us fresh egss, bread, milk, cheese, tea, coffee and juice, which was a lovely surprise, alot of places we have stayed do not do that and it does make such a welcoming difference. The fireplace is amazing and the views around are stunning. We will be back.

Rose Cottage had a beautiful large garden, safe for our dogs. We loved the garden room for relaxing and dining. Everything we needed was there. The town of Ballymote was only 4 miles away with cafes and a great supermarket. The property was rural and quiet, we all had a great nights sleep! We will definitely consider returning in the future.

We had a lovely stay at the house. The house was spotless and had all the amenities required. Such a peaceful location, we enjoyed fishing in the local lakes and visits to stokestown and Roscommon. Beautiful home and pictures just do not do justice as it exceeded our expectations. The beds were super comfortable and showers were powerful and good. Only downside was no internet which was annoying but Roderick explained the tower was down and kindly offered to go to his home should we need it urgently. We would happily stay again.

Good bang for buck, easy to find and Freya the doggo is gorgeous

Check in was very easy with the host being on site allowing us to gain entry as soon as we arrived. House was exactly as described and in immaculate condition with a beautiful outdoor garden and surrounding areas. There was also a little games cupboard that we all made use of as the weather was lovely to be outside (even though we’re all in our 30s/40s we turned into big kids when we found this). Host even went beyond their responsibilities and aided us with travel options and even took members of our group to the wedding location. I have stayed in many AirBnBs as a group and as an individual for both work & leisure and can categorically say this has been the best stay I’ve had through the app. Will look to book this again for a weekend away and without any events so we can enjoy the house to its full worth! Thank you to both John & Jody for being incredible hosts and if you are looking to stay in the area this would be the house to choose!

We stayed at Jim's cottage on the 2nd leg of our tour of Ireland, the peace & quiet of this area as well as the local history was much appreciated. We were able to visit two of the O'Rourke castle sites as well as O'Rourke's Table which was a pretty streneous hike but well worth the effort, I only regret not having more time to explore & fish the many canals & lakes in the area. Overall the cottage was nearly perfect for our stay & would definately recommend! Thanks, Jim & Erin Paul Roark
