Charming Farmhouse Retreat - Ideal Country Getaway

VirginiaRating, 5 stars5 months ago
The kids say this is the BEST Airbnb we’ve ever stayed in (we have over 25+ stays). If you are interested in a true Irish farm experience, this is the place for you. Over the course of 4 days we rode horses, shot clay pigeons, watched the sheepdogs work, walked the estate, did archery, sat by a blazing hot fire whilst having a good chat, and enjoyed learning about the history of the land- including ancient ring forts from over a thousand years ago. We have adopted Brian & his wonderful animals into the family, I think he’d claim us too. Things to remember- this is a working farm. You may encounter muck, dust, spiders but it is a functional space to lay your head at night after you’re exhausted from a day on the farm. Brian is responsible and available to help with anything you may need. I’d say this is the last of its kind in Ireland, enjoy it while you can.
The exterior of a two-story country home is showcased, featuring charming stone accents and a welcoming front entrance. Colorful roses climb the walls, adding a touch of nature to the facade. A gravel path leads to the steps, surrounded by a landscaped area.

2Bed Drogheda Newgrange Airport M1Private Parking

CoreyRating, 5 stars20 months ago
Arthur and Michelle’s place is a gem! So close to Newgrange and other historical sites. The bedroom was very comfortable and bathroom was great. The hosts are next level - even made sure to have lots of gluten free options for us in the morning. Both Arthur and Michelle are a wealth of information and great stories. Will for sure tell anyone I know visiting that area to stop in for a stay with them.

We absolutely loved our stay at Rock Farm Slane! The place is so peaceful, surrounded by nature, making it the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. Our dog, Zoe, had the best time exploring the wide, walkable spaces and taking in the beautiful sights. The atmosphere is serene, and it’s a wonderful spot to relax and unwind. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a tranquil getaway—especially for those with pets who love the outdoors! We’ll definitely be back.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We were a party of six staying at Peters. We were also welcomed by the lovely Patch. Everyone had a great time as there was plenty of space and the photos match the property. As always Peter is a great host and if we needed anything, he was only a phone call away. Great location for a large group of people and a good time was had by all.

We had such a wonderful stay at Gary’s. The surrounding area was very pretty and private. The outdoor hot tub was the highlight of our evening. Gary gave a link for places of interest to visit which was a nice touch. The cabin was so comfy and perfect for two people. The local town is just 5 minutes drive so you can stock up on anything you may need or get some food there. Again had a lovely time and highly recommend it 👍

The Wild Farm Red Door Cottage, Mullingar

AubreyRating, 5 stars34 months ago
Cute little cottage on a farm close to Mullingar. Olga and her family were very accommodating and helpful during our time there. When we needed help personally they were eager to assist and were happy to show our 1 year old around the farm. If you need a break in the quiet Irish countryside, can definitely recommend Olga’s cottage.

Country Escape beside new Railway walkway

AlexandraRating, 5 stars24 months ago
Emma was extremely helpful with everything we needed; from helping us get to places to being extremely communicative. Emma was so nice and down to earth and made our stay amazing; my friend and I said that we felt like we were visiting family. The place itself was great, super comfortable and stocked with food, and had such beautiful scenery/greenery. I would 100% stay here again and would recommend it to anyone else planning to stay in this area.
A cozy corner of the shepherd's hut is displayed, featuring soft seating and a wooden table set with decorative dishware. Vintage lamps and a wall clock contribute to a charming ambiance. Nearby, a horse can be seen grazing outside, enhancing the tranquil rural setting.

Macepool

PaulaRating, 5 stars8 months ago
The location and the house were idyllic. The decor is perfect for the age of the house. Perfect to access Dublin but was also a good base for other day trips like Waterford (2hrs), Blarney castle and stone (3hrs) and the Cliffs of Moher (3.5hrs). Lots of really cool local places too Skerries Mills (30 mins), New Grange (30 mins), Battle of Boyne Museum (30 mins) and Hill of Tara (30 mins). Very good local restaurants. Serena is an extremely good host and responds to text quickly. Would definitely stay again.

Country Home suitable for Family gatherings.

SaraRating, 5 stars34 months ago
I stayed at Carmel's place a few years ago and have often wanted to return. This time we stayed at Carmel's place with a large group of mums and our kids. We had wonderful time and would love to give even more stars as Carmel and Fintan went above and beyond anything expected from and air BnB host. The location was great in a rural setting and safe and secure so we felt our kids were safe running around. The cleanliness and facilities were second to none and their were so many extra personal touches that made our stay so comfortable including taking into account food preferences for breakfast and leaving us some lovely treats. Some quotes from the other mums show how pleased we really were: Carmel was so thoughtful. When they saw how many kids there were they power washed and sanitised some extra toys for them to play with which was a nice touch. Carmel went above and beyond with the extras (toiletries, slippers, dressing gowns, breakfast, treats), we really weren't expecting that. And she seemed happy to host a load of children which lots of places are not. Absolutely the best air BnB I’ve stayed in for all the little extras, the pony rides were fantastic….the slippers & toiletries etc. It was a great space for kids & families. I didn’t feel worried about letting the kids roam for a bit… The super stocked fridge 👍🏼 the electric front gate made it feel safe as well and the ground level trampoline was a major hit with all 😁

Mary was an amazing host and Kiltale Holiday Homes is a gorgeous place to stay. The house was well looked after, with all the amenities we needed. The on-site farm was a treat and our children loved being able to visit it with Mary's husband. All in all, I couldn't have asked for more and would be very happy to go back again. Mary made us feel so welcome. Thank you!

"Country Retreat at Annie's Cottage, Tankardstown

FergalRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a lovely three days staying at Annie’s cottage and all communication from Samantha was timely and accurate. The property was spotless and comfortable and we enjoyed the privacy and ease off access to nearby Tankardstown House. It was our first experience using an Airbnb and we only have good things to report. We would highly recommend Annie’s cottage and our experience was 5 star.
