Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Corstorphine

Melissa was a friendly, helpful and very responsive host. The house was exactly want we wanted and expected. The place was also spotless. The rooms were all good sizes and the bathroom was modern and had a really nice shower (with a bath for the kids) l. The location was great for our little family that wanted space in the evenings but happy to travel a bit to get into Edinburgh, we found the short drive to Kirkcaldy where we could park at the station and get a train directly into central Edinburgh worked perfectly for us. Or you could use as a base for driving to different parts of Scotland. I wish we had time to look at the local area some more as it's near a coastal path. I would definitely come again and recommend to others.

We really enjoyed our stay! The cottage is very cozy and had everything we needed for a relaxing break. Our toddler especially loved exploring outside and had a great time running around the old Kirk next door. A lovely, peaceful spot—we’d definitely stay again!

The Shiel House was an absolutely stunning and massive property. We visited as a large group of 8 on a golf trip, and this was the perfect Airbnb. It was beyond spacious, with all the amenities a large group would need for a week long stay. The location was great for us with popular golfing destinations like St Andrews and Gleneagles within driving distance, as well as a litany of local courses. We also were within driving distance of Edinburgh with plenty of fine dining options. Tim was a very gracious and helpful host who provided clear instructions on locating the property, as well as a fun treasure hunt that takes you around the property and to local spots. Overall, we couldn’t be happier with the property and the host!!

What a beautiful house in stunning surroundings! We were a family of 5 celebrating my mum’s 75th birthday. Upon hearing this the hosts informed us of the stairs in the house in case there were mobility issues, which is very thoughtful. The tranquility of having a stream running by the end of the garden added to the charm. Within walking distance is a small Tesco that we were able to get supplies, and although we didn’t visit them, the local restaurants looked nice. We were met at the house by Kenneth who gave us a tour of the house and was very helpful. The extras provided in the fridge by the hosts was a very thoughtful touch. Overall, a suburb place to spend some time! Thanks for everything and for letting us feel at home in your beautiful home!

What stunning views and such a tranquil location. Loved our stay and hosts were so accommodating when we were a little late and they opened up for our grocery delivery driver! We are a family of four with a dog and loved using the enclosed garden, bbq and fire pit. Beds are comfortable and showers are super. Even the sofa bed is great! Would stay again. We had a fantastic stay at Green Cottage. Craig was very helpful from the start with travel tips and luggage drop off information. Craig provided very useful information for checking in and locating the cottage, everything was easy to follow. The cottage is in a lovely location, within walking distance of the Royal Botantial Gardens and the coast line. It is also near many bus routes and easy to visit all the tourist sites in Edinburgh.

We had a wonderfull stay in this almost like new house. Highly recommanded!

It was my first time traveling alone and Skye helped make me feel very comfortable. She was extremely accommodating and amazing to interact with. The location is perfect for exploring the city by foot. You’re only a 20-30 minute walk from the old and new town (Victoria street and princes street). It’s almost a direct walk up the main street or I chose to walk through the park. It’s a very safe area and everyone is super friendly. I felt very safe being alone. There are plenty of good food options nearby even amazing vegan options. Or the flat has a full kitchen with everything you need to cook yourself a meal. There’s even a small grocery store next door. It’s very cozy and cutely decorated. I would absolutely love to stay here again! Thank you so much for everything Skye!

Great location with views of Edinburgh Castle just a block away. The tram stop was less than a 5 minute walk as well. The apartment is well decorated and had everything we needed. Greg provided many recommendations and always responded timely. Princes Street and George Street are less than 5 minutes away.

Stewart and Velda were lovely hosts. Very communicative (answered our many queries) and went above and beyond. We left our daughter's stuffed animal behind and Velda took extra pains to send it to us. Their place was neat and very cosy, with lots of books and games which my girls especially enjoyed. Location is top notch and bedding was of superior quality. They also very kindly provided some breakfast essentials for us which was very helpful as it was one less thing for us to worry about after our long flight into Edinburgh. We absolutely loved this charming, sweet flat! One of our all time favorite Airbnbs - it was homey, thoughtfully and tastefully decorated - even all the window blinds were beautiful! As an added bonus, the beds were SO comfortable and cozy. Close walk to a bus stop that is only a short ride to see the sights. Momo was an incredibly attentive and accommodating host, very responsive and lovely to communicate with!

This apartment is a perfect base for a trip to Edinburgh. It’s a short taxi ride from the airport or a choice of public transport. 20 min walk along the canal right into the city , we felt very safe in the picturesque area. Any questions we had were answered in minutes. We loved the apartment, a real unique spot !

A surprisingly quiet apartment just off a Grassmarket and above an amazing breakfast spot with perfect lattes and breakfast fresh and hot. Amanda was responsive and clear, entry and exit easy. Thank you!!!

We liked everything, the price is good

Amazing house with lots to do. The room at the top of the spiral stairs was just a bit difficult to get into and out of, with low ceilings, and it gets warm up there. One more bathroom for that number of bedrooms could be nice... but it all worked out. It was pretty close to perfect for our family reunion. And it's great for hide and seek! We recommend it.

This house was exactly as advertised. Spacious and beautiful. Perfect for two families. Check in was easy and Jacki was very responsive.

Stayed here for 2 nights with 5 other adults - one of the best decisions! As a start, check-in was smooth. Everyone has their bed, towels which is great. Had to figure out the heater (our country is Summer all year) and Lukas was very responsive. This location is almost a straight drive to the city centre. With free parking at the location, it gave us great relief to know we won’t get penalised. Love this place! I would recommend this to others.

we have just left Howford house after a lovely 3 night weekend stay to celebrate my husbands 40th. we were a family of 14 adults, 2 children and a newborn baby and we had the most peaceful comfortable stay. the house is fantastic, it has everything you need and the location although super private and peaceful, it was near restaurants, the coop supermarket, Traquair House and land which we got discounted because we were house guests, and lots of walks and hikes. the surrounding acres were stunning with the frost and autumn leaves. we all loved our stay, the kids (and the adults) didn't want to leave. special thanks to Elaine the housekeeper who was brilliant with her communication and help. we will recommend and be back in the future.

The location is perfect – nestled in a peaceful area but just a quick hop onto the motorway, giving you easy access to both Glasgow and Edinburgh. Entering this well appointed, beautiful home, there is a feeling of warmth and relaxation. The skylights bring in the natural light to the bathrooms. The Kitchen is modern and sleek, with everything you need to make a first class meal. The visually stunning, spacious backyard has a wonderful garden. There is a park just behind the house. My daily jog would lead me down to the beach. Here i would do a quick cold plunge- rejuvenating my body. The area is surrounded by a world renowned collection of golf clubs. The Longniddry golf club is a short walk and is a fun track. Thank you for being great hosts.

Suzanna and Derek welcomed us kindly and explained everything in detail. We were able to drop off our luggage a little earlier than the specified time. Overall, everything was as described. A little cutlery would have been great :-) We didn't ask, but I'm sure Suzanna would have helped us. Portobello is a nice suburb of Edinburgh, located right on the beach. There are good bus connections to the city. Shopping facilities are also within walking distance.
