Big Stone Gap was the perfect location as we visited the area state parks: Natural Tunnel, Clinch River, Grayson Highlands and Southwest Museum. We truly enjoyed Turkey Cottage and Diana’s hospitality. We took advantage of the kitchen to cook several meals and loved how thoughtfully stocked and decorated the place was. Would love to come back to the area to visit other local natural wonders and rest here in between enjoying the porch swing and mountain views.

This was a cute cozy house with a newly renovated bathroom. Nice ceramic flooring in the bath. Beds were comfortable. The fire alarm bracket was in the living room, but there was not a smoke detector. We really enjoyed the place. However, the kitchen sink and the shower shelf were not clean.

Our stay here was absolutely amazing! I have nothing but good things to say - it was the perfect “glamping” experience. The skylight was just remarkable. No words. The outdoor shower was magical & made me feel so connected to nature. Having access to a grill and an area to make a campfire was so nice. So many great seating options (porch, campfire, hammock, etc.) each with their own unique view. The bugs inside the zome & bathhouse were very minimal, I was pleasantly surprised. It was just perfect in so many ways! The only thing I didn’t love was the steep hill getting to the driveway; however, I don’t have 4WD, the listing is very transparent about it, & Lauren was extremely helpful with offering info and advice. Once I did the hill once, it became a lot less intimidating, so don’t let it stop you! The anticipation was worse than the hill lol. The hosts are SO quick to respond if anything is needed. I can’t thank you all enough for such a lovely stay! :)
