Waterfront vacation rentals in Colonial Beach

I would 100% come back! I sent my mom the link to the Airbnb before we even pulled out of the driveway. Tom and Michele’s place was so quaint and peaceful. Their backyard is GORGEOUS!! I don’t know how they don’t stay out there all the time!! We used to live in the area, so we knew of the local restaurants and bars in Solomons. If you’ve never been, there are a lot of great spots within 10 minutes!

So very peaceful. Loved watching the birds fly off an on to the neighboring pier. Fit our needs perfectly and with the well stocked kitchen we were able to prepare our Thanksgiving meal.

We had an amazing stay at Theo’s place! Everything was perfect clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The thoughtful touches and great communication made our trip so enjoyable. We’d absolutely love to return! Highly recommend!

This is a beautiful waterfront property located close to everything that Lexington Park had to offer. The host has organized the apartment very neatly with lots of useful information and entertainment. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to visiting again

We wanted peace and quiet and that’s what it offered. Our children sent me for my birthday. We arrived at night so it was hard to see the address that’s when we realized others were on the property. Very clean and fresh. A few more kitchen amenities would have been nice. A nice touch of a birthday balloon and treats. We would come back again. Thanks

What a calm and peaceful private retreat! My fiancée and I spent a couple of days enjoying the brisk bay breezes and beautiful sunsets at Vickie’s. Everything was exactly as advertised and Vickie (and Scott) are true treasures—extremely responsive and thoughtful hosts who want you to have everything you need. Plus, their knowledge of the area gave us a great introduction to Leonardtown. So much more to the area than we thought! Whether birdwatching from “the best view on the block” or reflecting on the glider by the bay, we loved every moment of quiet and can’t wait to visit again. Thank you!

We first came here six months ago for a quiet getaway from the kids, and we liked it so much we knew we’d be back. This time was just as wonderful. The place is spotless, peaceful, and incredibly relaxing. The view of the bay is absolutely stunning—calm, quiet, and the perfect backdrop for unwinding. The hosts are warm and welcoming, and the space has everything you need for a comfortable and refreshing stay. If you’re looking for a serene escape with beautiful scenery and thoughtful touches, this is the place. We’re already planning our next visit.

Brittany’s waterfront home in Colonial Beach was a beautiful and peaceful retreat for me, my husband, and our 2 year old son. The space is beautiful and clean and offers lovely views of the sparkling water and beach just steps from the front door. We loved having beach days and visiting the pool, and nearby restaurants made it easy to grab lunch and dinner after a busy day in the sun. The in-unit washer and dryer made it easy to clean our swimsuits and stay on top of laundry, and the fully stocked kitchen made cooking a breeze. The porch also provides a nice space to take in the views and the sounds of waves crashing in a private and peaceful retreat. We loved visiting Colonial Beach and would happily stay at Brittany’s home again!

We visited Southern Maryland for a family wedding. The property is beautiful and peaceful. Beds are comfy, house comfy, and they thought of the little things like : a full sized ironing board & Iron, beach towels, good soaps, and all you need for s’mores!Their welcome handbook was very detailed. Our only regret was that we could not spend more time on the property itself (because of family events). Would have loved to use the kayaks and the fire pit. My brother did use hot tub. Great stay! Highly recommend

The house and location was beautiful. The shower was absolutely amazing,my favorite part of the house. Host always responded quickly and everything was perfect as pictured.

Had a great weekend in the Northern Neck here! We watched a pod of dolphins and stingrays from the backyard, enjoyed easy access to nearby parks, and had a great time cooking in the kitchen. This is seemingly a very recently renovated house, and all the towels, sheets, beds, etc. seemed brand new as well. It was super clean, super comfy, and the hosts were very responsive! I liked that the property was surrounded on one side by forest as well—it was nice and quiet and secluded. Finally, they have a super cute collection of board games disguised as old timey books. I'd definitely stay here again!

I can't express enough how wonderful this home is. We loved it so much that we extended our stay by an extra day! The location was absolutely perfect and met all our family's needs. The private dock quickly became a family favorite, along with the hot tub. It's a quiet, peaceful retreat and the ideal place to recharge with your loved ones. We will definitely be back!

Scott and Melinda's place was perfect for a peaceful getaway for our family of 5. The water was so nice to wake up to and fall asleep hearing the water move by! The thought of all the basic needs and had everything easily accessible from fresh eggs from their chickens, a great variety of coffee pods and creamer, and all the other small needs that come up while staying in an airbnb. This was great since it is off the beaten path. If you are looking for some peaceful family time or a secluded retreat with friends, this is a perfect place!

Mat's place has a really nice view on the Potomac. House was very nice, and the neighborhood was very quiet. Would stay again.

This home is just as advertised...it is very large, great for several families vacationing together! Our group was small so we didn't even make use of all of the space. The house is right on Tanner Creek which is just beautiful for sitting on the dock and relaxing, paddleboarding and kayaking, birdwatching, etc. It's also about a mile from Lookout Point State Park which is absolutely gorgeous. Restaurants and grocery stores are few and far between in this area, so it's a good idea to bring your own food, and the kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans for cooking. If you are looking for a place to relax in a calm and beautiful setting, this is it!

Cottage is pleasantly decorated to feel homey and still have a water escape feeling. The fire pit located at the house and by the water are very enjoyable. Having a fully stocked kitchen with everything we needed to prepare dinner made our getaway so much more relaxing. Town stores and local food wasn’t too far away and the drive was scenically calm. We look forward to our next booking at this destination
