A bright and cozy private apartment on a quiet street 1 mile from the center of New Paltz and the Thruway exit.
“Tom and Moe were incredible hosts. Their place is in an excellent location near the highway and a short drive to downtown New Paltz. The little touches wowed us, like tea and coffee, and snacks. Their place was spotlessly clean. The seating area in the backyard was especially relaxing. We miss it already.”
Victorian Haven is located near the Shawangunk Mountains that extends for over 20 miles and reaches 2,200 feet in height at Sam's point, the highest elevation on the ridge. In addition, the Wallkill River provides unspoiled and picturesque spots for hiking, fishing and/or picnics. Gardiner has a beautiful rail trail that follows the path of the 1860's railroad and provides a great opportunity to hike, bike or ski.
“Victorian Haven - quiet, cozy, and quaint! Such an adorable hidden gem in a small community. Had everything needed from morning coffee to dinner making! The small intimate touches like the selection of coffee with multiple options for creamer and added notes and information about the place and local areas of interest made it stand out! The wildlife was amazing - seeing 50+ deer just hanging out and the many birds on/near the river. Perfect place to stay while seeing a concert and just wanting to get away for the weekend. Definitely recommend for a couple trying to unwind and relax!”
Old Mill Cottage offers a perfect setting for an upstate getaway for 2-4 people. Enjoy an evening in, watching the sunset over the Gunx from the back deck or walk over to the Gunk Haus for the "best burger in the Hudson Valley". If you're more in to a night out, New Paltz is only 10 minutes away.
“The Old Mill Cottage was exactly what we were looking for in terms of space and tranquility for our family. Not only was it immaculately clean but thoughtfully designed with lovely light wood throughout. We especially enjoyed the wonderful deck with distant mountain views. There is also a large field where our young son was able to run around safely -- we even got to make a snowman in April when it unexpectedly snowed for the day!! We had everything we needed to be very comfortable during our stay. The kitchen was well stocked with essentials, the living room had a comfy couch and a great selection of games and magazines to enjoy on rainy days, the shower was fantastic, and the upstairs bedroom had a lot of room for us to all spread out and enjoy the views from the second floor windows. In addition to a helpful house manual, Linda also offered wonderful suggestions on local areas to explore. The cottage is centrally located so we were very close to state parks and bird sanctuaries. We appreciated Linda's warm hospitality and her attentiveness throughout our stay. We will certainly be coming back!”
