In the middle of the forest, on a clearing, 3 km from the beautiful town of Gartow, lies our special retreat. If you are looking for peace and quiet in nature and value simplicity and goodness, this is the place. The old half-timbered building, a former stable, was renovated with high quality and sustainably with natural materials. Clay plaster on the walls and the wood-burning stove guarantee an excellent indoor climate, and the walk to the wood-fired sauna promises absolute relaxation!

My accommodation: a construction trailer that was once a garden house that was placed on a mobile frame. The construction trailer was provided with a covered veranda, received a completely new, tasteful interior with lighting, folding beds, retractable table, etc., and now stands on a large sheep meadow, between old fruit trees, beech hedges and currant bushes, directly on the Elbe dyke. On the property: a utility kitchen, a sauna with toilet and shower for the construction trailer.

On the Rittershof, a beautiful, old pigsty has been converted into holiday apartments - in an upscale quality and equipped with a lot of love. The guest house is very cozy and stylish with many details, such as furniture, windows, etc., which have been designed and built in individual production and with a lot of love for detail. If you are looking for peace and relaxation in a stylishly furnished ambience, this is the place to be. The Elbe Cycle Path and Elbe Dike are about 200 meters from us.

Lovingly converted workshop in former stable building

The apartment is located in a 100-year-old barn of an idyllic village of 26 inhabitants surrounded by (almost) unspoiled nature on the edge of the Lüneburg Heath. It's an area without superlatives. Everything is very normal without major attractions. But this is exactly what we really appreciate about this area. Lots of nature, wide views and little distraction. It is a place where you can come to rest and draw strength.
