Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Chimay

Had a wonderful week in the beautiful place on the Maas River Meuse. Summer temperatures at the end of April, early May. The area is beautiful, the lush mountain hills with fresh greenery on the Maas. The house is really a little paradise. We spent a lot of time outside in the beautiful romantically landscaped garden. Bike rides made, hiking trail behind the house over the ridges overlooking the Maas. There are 3 bedrooms all at the top of the house. One bedroom has an adjoining bathroom with toilet. The other bathroom is downstairs with separate toilet. A very well equipped kitchen and lots of possibilities for play. Really had a wonderful week with friends and the place is highly recommended!

Very spacious house and a huge property, great to stay on site for longer. The kitchen equipment is great and also allows cooking for large and hungry groups :) We didn't miss anything, we'd love to come back!

We had a great stay in a very beautiful area by the water. The cottage was also fine, the rain shower was wonderful. The washing machine is really an added value. The picnic table by the water is also nice.

Beautiful little house, neat and tastefully decorated. Lots of character and charm inside and out. It feels like a real cozy little house, immediate change of scenery. Good bedding. Florent was very responsive when we needed him. Ideal location in the center of a small charming and very quiet village, beautiful stone houses, beautiful bocage in the surroundings And the cherry on the cake: in front of the cottage, a small wicker workshop very beautiful where Pascal and Claudine welcomed us warmly! We will be back!

A wonderful weekend at Stéphane and Dominique's. We regret not extending our stay to enjoy the place and surroundings. Nice and peaceful little brunch on Sunday morning on the terrace. Our daughter, who got married the day before, enjoyed the calm and peaceful nature after this festive event! We highly recommend the Gîte du Commandant 🙏

We've had the best time! Such a lovely house and such a lovely host, always available if you have any questions. the place is perfect to go with kids.. and even our dog was welcome! To have the jacuzzi was a very lovely addition to the house. We've been using the BBQ every night. The Internet is not working that well.. but as long you can enjoy the outside that should not be a problem.. A place to enjoy!

We spent 4 full days with the family at Marie-Pierre and Jacques's. Having no other tenants before and after, we were able to arrive very early and could have left very late in the evening if we had wanted to thanks to Marie-Pierre's spontaneous offer. The accommodation is perfect for family activities, large grounds, very beautiful swimming pool, lots of board games for all ages. The pool is heated to 27° so ideal even when it rains (it was the storm for us the first day) Evenings can end with a small campfire in a brazier provided on the terrace. A crib and high chair available for a baby 👍 I recommend it and we may come back.

Very nice accommodation, well arranged, well-equipped and functional. The terrace is sunny from morning to night. In addition, the pool is large and allowed us to enjoy it with the whole family to the delight of young and old. Our host Thibault was welcoming, available and responsive. We would highly recommend this listing.

Had a nice stay with my little family. The stay was relaxing, and we took the opportunity to walk around the area. Nathalie and Ludovic are very professional and answer all our questions, I highly recommend them. We tried the restaurant on site, it was super good 😋

Spent two days in the Barrel with my two dogs. When it was time to leave dogs refused to move:) Amazing, extremely private, tranquil, basic in the best way. Just think through how you will brew your coffee (I asked for a plug for small kettle, as on premises only battery, that is enough for night light and charging phones, but not for cooking). Wood fire in the night, birds singing in the morning and no people (though 10 min to the center of a cute village). Thank you, Denis and Laura, for making this oasis. For sure will try to come back!

Came with the family, had a great time with my kids who had a lot with their new friends 😉 The accommodation is lovely. There's nothing we need. It has everything you need. The accommodation is located in the countryside in a quiet environment, close to the farm. Isabelle is a remarkable host. Attentive, available, friendly, it was a real pleasure!

We had a great time at this charming place. We enjoyed the calm and were able to enjoy the outdoors throughout the weekend. Very responsive and welcoming host.

We had a very nice stay with our 1 year old daughter. The location was very quiet with a nice garden to sit and play in. We enjoyed walks in the area and took several trips by car. For our daughter, everything was provided, a fully furnished room, lots of toys and outside of course the horses and chickens. A child-friendly recommendation!

The cottage is perfectly equipped with everything you need for a successful weekend away. The location is also beautiful for nature and hiking enthusiasts.

Regarding the accommodation, you can't find better. Clean, tastefully decorated, large and very beautiful bedroom, beautiful bathroom with everything you need and a super well-equipped kitchen. We were able to put the motorcycles in their private yard. We warmly thank them for their hospitality and for their assistance to a friend who had health problems. Many thanks to Sandra and her husband. We will definitely be back.
