Peaceful Retreat in Nature – Just What We Needed We were really happy with our stay in Chiang Dao. The house was exactly as described — peaceful, comfortable, and surrounded by nature. We truly enjoyed the calm atmosphere and the beautiful views. It was the perfect place to unwind and slow down. Alex was very kind and helpful, always quick to respond and easy to communicate with — we felt really well taken care of. A few things to keep in mind for future guests: the house is quite far from the town and other spots, so having your own transport is a big plus. We’d recommend renting a motorbike — and if you’re planning to stay for a while, it might be worth renting one in Chiang Mai, as it can be considerably cheaper. Also, light sleepers should know that there are roosters in the area, and they tend to start their day early. It didn’t bother us too much, but it’s good to be aware of. All in all, it was a wonderful stay, and we’d happily come back!

A true paradise. Pictures can't quite capture how special this place is. The river is calm and magical, the houses are beautifully designed, and the food is spectacular. We recommend this place with all of our heart. Communication with the staff requires google translate, but in the end we understood each other most of the time :)

Absolutely loved our stay. You definitely need some transportation (motorbike was awesome) to see the area and get down to restaurants. So peaceful and beautiful. A gem in the area.

Fantastic little spot away from the noise and chaos of the city. Cute house on a beautiful property with screened in windows that can be left open for fresh air while being bug free. The hostess brought me to her friends restaurant for dinner which was delightful, and showed me around the neighborhood. She made a fantastic breakfast and was overall a lovely woman. Thanks for the stay and the hospitality 😊

Phimhaka is a great host! I can only recommend this place! It was a huge relief to arrive in the silence after two weeks of busy city’s in Thailand. The house has all the comfort you want and it’s a place where you can really relax. Maybe the only discomfort we had was getting there. We’ve rented a car to get there. It was an adventure to start driving left, and getting used with the Thai driving style (with the deepest respect for Thai drivers 😀). In the neighbourhood we found a coffee bar with a very friendly lady and a local restaurant with great food! We’ve had to change our travel plans, and Phimphaka was so friendly to understand, and to provide a solution. Only warm words to her, and I wish her all the best!

This was probably our favourite place in Thailand. Prayad and Penchun(Fonthip's parents) were incredibly welcoming and generally lovely people. We immediately felt at home from the minute we arrived quite late after a long journey and they offered us a delicious dinner. We wish we could have stayed longer and shared more meals and nice conversations with them. We felt very privileged to share the idyllic space they have created together. Also the fresh coffee and fruit from their own gardens each morning were incredible. The place itself is in quite a rural location, but really easy to reach by scooter. And there are lots of things to do within half an hours drive, and Prayad gives great recommendations. It's a very peaceful and scenic location with a beautiful garden and very friendly dogs. The bungalow was spacious, with a comfortable bed, good air-con and clean, modern bathroom. Definitely a place to spend some time exploring the real Thailand away from the main tourist route

Friendly and wonderful people, always willing to accommodate. Great food as well. The setting was even more beautiful and serene than expected, and well worth the long drive from the main road, just make sure you have your own transportation. We stayed here 2 nights and they cooked several meals for us, just pay a little bit extra. Awesome waterfall hike that you can start from the cabin. We were in town for the Shambhala festival and it was a bit far to drive, but overall satisfied with our choice and would do it again 100%

We have a very nice stay. The lady care taker and other were very friendly and give us some yummy fruits. The place located on a nice art gallery space, full of creativity and at the same time it located in this peaceful rice field setting.

We love everything about this place! The location is truly magical - a private forest with lush greenery and views, the staff and host are so helpful and welcoming and the cabin is very clean, well equipped and comfortable. 10/10 - a must stay! It’s hard to describe the peace and hospitality you feel from this place. Maan and his family, even his village are so kind and helpful to help us travel through this region. This stay is rural- We were in the back of several trucks to find it, and amenities are few, but dinner and breakfast is served to the cabin after walking the fields and waking up to coffee and breakfast where he welcomed MANY curious questions from two Americans. Even in the off season, there were many birds livestock, and green plants - being able to eat the rice from the location of the farmers family is truly a blessing. Beautiful, authentic, nourishing stay. Thank you for sharing your space.

the cabin is something else ✨❤️ very unique and you can see the love they put in everything. it was so cozy and welcoming that we never wanted to leave. the balcony is the perfect chill out area. a few days are perfect in this tiny paradise
