Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Cheshire County

This was my first time using AirBnB and it won’t be my last time. Brie was a very patient and responsive host during the whole experience. Brie made everything super easy from finding the place, checking in, checking out, and everything in between. Her home was beautiful, private, spacious, and well stocked with everything my family needed during our stay. We truly enjoyed ourselves and look forward to another stay in the future. Thank you for making my first Airbnb experience easy and memorable. Thank you for kindness, your prompt responses and feedback to my dozens of questions the whole time. It did rain the whole time so we didn’t get to use the fire pit but that’s ok. We did get a chance to use the grill for burgers so that was nice! The only thing I can say that I was a little disappointed about is that I didn’t get to see a moose hahaha. Maybe next time though!!

Such an amazing place to stay - easy to get to surrounding towns and local attractions but the physical location and the space lends itself to such a beautiful tranquility and peace we could feel ourselves relaxing the minute we got out of the car. Everything we could have wanted was provided, including a washer and dryer, the beds were so very comfortable, and being able to soak in the hot tub beneath the stars after a long day was just an added bonus. We were so grateful to be able to be in this space for about a week and hope to be able to rerun in the future!

The schoolhouse is a lovey, comfortable peace place!

This home is beautiful ,well equipped, and the perfect spot to relax. Melora was very friendly and helpful. The little extra touches was what made the home feel so comfortable and the view is just perfect. We are definitely planning a second stay in the near future.

Very nice place. The lake is gorgeous. Wish it was warmer, so i could use the kayaks. Bill and Sandie are very friendly and helpful. Their not intrusive at all, but were very responsive to any questions or concerns we had. I would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay and can recommend Dover by Downtown for an uncomplicated stay in Keene. The second floor apartment is located within walking distance from a grocery store as well as many restaurants, while the surrounding neighborhood is quiet and pleasant. It was exactly what my mother, my daughter, and I needed after a long day of touring by car. Julie promptly replied to all of our questions, and the driveway parking is conveniently located near the front door. Thank you Julie, for being a great host during our stay in New Hampshire!

Katherine’s space was so cozy! It was exactly what I needed for a retreat from daily life. I found both the loft and the daybed very comfortable. There were dimmers on most of the light fixtures, which was important to me because I like low-light settings. The kitchen included a counter with stools and was really quite beautiful. This Airbnb was within walking distance to a local restaurant, the general store and a food co-op. I decided not to rent a car because I was there for R&R., however , if you had a car, just a few minutes outside of town you would see beautiful trees all with leaves in there spring splendor. You could get to Brattleboro in about 20 minutes if you’re looking for more choices of restaurants.. (I decided to take the train up so I took a taxi to the Airbnb from the train and back to the train at the end of my trip.). Although it rained most of the time I was there, it was perfect for my goal of R&R.

Convenient and easy access to Keene and the surrounding area. We spent Christmas week and the first floor unit was perfect for our needs as my mother has a walker and it only required two stairs up from the driveway! I would def recommend this place!

Cold Comfort Farm offers a wonderful setting and view for anyone who wants a true New Hampshire experience. It reminded me of my youth growing up nearby. Jo was completely welcoming.

Lovely to stay here again! Highly recommend this spot. Amazing host, lovely home. We were in the area to visit our teenager at school and now, after graduation, I would go back to stay just for a lovely break.

I believe this was the 4th time I’ve booked this place, which I believe should speak for itself as to how much I enjoy staying at Leslie’s quaint little bungalow.

Alfred’s home was the perfect spot for our friend group’s Memorial Day weekend getaway. The home is in a prime location, with a secluded and peaceful atmosphere. The inside of the home is quaint and unique, with plenty of space for a mid to large size group. The interior is absolutely beautiful, featuring exposed cabin logs throughout the entire inside. We had so much to do with Alfred’s lake front home, including kayaking (provided by Alfred), fishing and lounging. We also used the outdoor fire pit that Alfred provided, and it was extremely easy to get a permit online to use the pit. The kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms were all extremely clean and in great condition. Even with the feel of being secluded, there is still easy access to grocery stores / gas stations, all within a 5 minute drive. Alfred was a wonderful, responsive host, and we will most definitely be booking at his home again in the future!

Enjoyed the cabin very much! Cabin is decently maintained and rustic. The lake and outdoor space is beautiful. We enjoyed a few nice walks through the forest and along the trails. Managed to use the fire pit one night and enjoyed overlooking the lake at night and seeing the bats dive for bugs. Grocery store and some restaurants all within a few minutes, so were able to stock up nicely before settling in for a long weekend. Internet worked great and we were able to stream a movie on the TV without buffering. Had an issue with one of the beds the first night but Gene responded quickly and had someone out to fix it in record time. Great experience and would love to book it again soon!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This cabin was absolutely perfect for our family gathering after my father's memorial. Despite poor weather keeping us inside, we were delighted by the thoughtful gathering spaces throughout. The pellet stove created such a cozy atmosphere, and the kitchen was exceptionally well-stocked with everything we needed. The hosts clearly put so much care into every detail. We're already looking forward to returning in better weather to enjoy the outdoor spaces. Highly recommend this peaceful retreat!

Our stay at the cabin was absolutely wonderful! The location was peaceful and scenic, with a beautiful lake just steps away—it made for the perfect relaxing escape. The cabin itself was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. One of the highlights was definitely the sauna, which added a luxurious touch to the experience. Jim was an amazing host—friendly, attentive, and truly went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. His hospitality made us feel right at home. We couldn’t have asked for a better place or a better host. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking to unwind and enjoy nature!

Great spot for a weekend getaway! I’ve been coming to this lake almost my whole life and was glad to have a space to myself for the weekend. Home was comfortable and well stocked.

Cabin In The Woods was a great retreat for me. Everything was tidy in the house. I appreciated the driveway (plenty of parking) and walkway free of snow. If you’d like to “get away from it all,” Kathryn’s place is the place you want to be. Pat’s Peak and Sunapee are not too far away. Will probably rent next time I go skiing in NH. Thank you Kathryn!
