House vacation rentals in Cherokee County

Great house and perfect location for our family. Lake is beautiful and the dock is a great place to hang out and swim. We rented a boat for a few days, but there is plenty to do without having a boat.

Great place to spend vacations with family! The house was spotless when we got there, we didn't have any complaints at all. Communication was great, we will come back without a doubt.

This house has everything you need for a getaway. We stayed on the decks more than in the house. The furniture outside has been upgraded since the photos on the listing. Kitchen was spotless and had everything I need to cook for my family. I will be back. There are 125 steps to get to the water. I knew it would be a trek, so it didn’t bother me. But, just a heads up if you aren’t able to climb that many steps. All of the houses are like that.

When you walk through the front door you feel a sense of calmness, the home is very inviting and smells like a 5 star hotel! All the beds are inviting and comfortable. There are plenty of towels and paper products, which is a hard find. I practically live out of Airbnb’s and this one definitely welcomed me in! I will stay here again!

Overall this was a very nice lake house! Jessica was an amazing host, and the house and property were as described. Scenery is very beautiful. Kids loved the kayaks and canoe. Would recommend to anyone and would definitely stay again!

We loved our stay over Thanksgiving with our kids and grandkids. The house was comfortable with plenty of room and fantastic views of the lake below and the mountains that surrounded us. Easy to get into Murphy for shopping and restaurants. We loved the Chop House!! We will book this house again!

This property was just perfect for our extended family to gather and enjoy the pool, the poolside ping pong table and 2 dining areas. The full apartment downstairs was perfect for the family with two young children. Seating in the living area, porch off the pool and dining rooms was comfortable and clean. Inside seating was all leather. TV above the fireplace was perfect for eating movies at night. We lit the fire pit one night and roasted marshmallows for s’mores. Thank you so Much evolve for a perfect get away. We didn’t pull out the corn hike throw boards and kayaks as we just ran out of time.

We had an amazing stay! The house was perfect – the location, view, and amenities exceeded our expectations. The host was incredibly thoughtful, providing all the little things travelers often forget, and even left us some cookies! We truly appreciated all the attention to detail and felt right at home. Highly recommend!

I have to say out of all the places we have stayed in the area this had the best views house was great there was nothing I could have asked for to make this one of the best places to stay in the mountains. We will definitely be back. Also for me the check in time in the morning and check out in the afternoon was the the easiest and best for us. Thank you Harry

We had such a wonderful time at Todd’s place – it was exactly what we needed for our weekend getaway. The house was spacious, beautifully placed everything, cleaned, and had everything we needed to feel at home. The kitchen was well-stocked for cooking meals together, and the outdoor balcony with that stunning view was the highlight of our trip – perfect for morning coffee or evening drinks. Todd was an incredible host, always quick to respond to our questions and offering great local recommendations. Check-in was smooth. We truly appreciated his thoughtfulness and hospitality. We will again plan our next visit tot his house– thank you, Todd, for making our stay so memorable!

Ok let’s start by saying I CAN’T BEGIN TO SAY ENOUGH ABOUT HOW AMAZING THIS PLACE IS!! First of all it has the best game room that I have ever had the privilege of using. We have stayed at other places with game rooms but this one had EVERYTHING!! From arcade games to a pool and poker table, puzzles ,board games , literally anything you need for rainy weather days!! The house was clean and perfectly stocked. We even had snacks and goodies like candy in a candy jar. Everything was thought of. There was even a yoga mat to do yoga on the porch while you enjoy the AMAZING view of the lake. Jackrabbit swimming area is within walking distance for your teenagers who you can trust to swim alone. There’s a grill and fire pit area and they even provided s’more supplies. The needs were comfortable and there was plenty of space. There was not a TV in every room which I found refreshing. The bathrooms were very clean. We are beyond grateful to have been able to enjoy this space as a family.

My family of four (and our small dog) felt very comfortable and happy with our stay in this home. The owners were responsible and respectful, and we really appreciated all the little extra things in the house (dvds, books of all kinds, lots of different kinds of blankets and pillows, a nice big tub my kids really enjoyed, spices for cooking, and yard games). I will say that the WiFi was not reliable (my husband was trying to work from out of the home, but ended up having to use cellphone data) but it didn’t get in the way too much. This house is an easy 6 minutes drive to the John C. Campbell Folk School, which is where my kids were taking classes, so we appreciated that. We would definitely stay again.

So many great things to say about the host and the place: spacious, well designed, comfortable, well equipped. The appliances snd the AC worked very well. the view is beautiful. It is really quiet. we’ll gladly rent it again.

Carol’s place is lovely, in a beautiful location conveniently located about 10 minutes from the Folk School where we were taking classes. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Very clean place with comfortable beds, would stay again!

We really enjoyed our week long stay I. Murphy! Marvin, our host and relative of Frank’s, was extremely responsive and helpful. I was a little nervous driving up the mountain to the cabin the first day we arrived but our Toyota Sienna handled it just fine and by day three it was no big deal. It’s winding, skinny, and steep but paved. The cabin views are absolutely unmatched and the location is amazing. Downtown Murphy is quaint and not overrun by tourists (we visited Ellijay, Bryson city, and Blue Ridge during our stay and Murphy was my favorite). The Cabin was clean and as described. The kitchen is extremely well stocked and I brought a lot from home but really didn’t need to- we cooked a full Thanksgiving meal and I found most everything I needed. I appreciated Marvin’s helpfulness when we couldn’t get the fire place to light on our super cold day (we did eventually get it!). Also cabin location was great for day trips to Bryson city, Ellijay etc. Highly recommend!!

Great view and very clean. Had everything that we needed and more

Jenny’s home was so beautiful! As someone who is often anxious in new places, I felt right at home. All the doors were easy to lock and the property felt safe! As a bigger girl, the king beds were so comfortable and the master bath didn’t feel tiny (unlike some other Airbnb’s I have been to). But fair warning to us bigger folk, the bathroom towels don’t cover too much. The view was stunning. To just sit on the front porch to eat breakfast, see such a broad and beautiful view, and to hear and see the local wildlife was just what we were hoping for! Plus, the hot tub was clean and comfortable. Even though it was in an open porch area, I also wasn’t anxious about that either. The driveway is pretty steep, so if anyone was coming up the road we definitely would’ve known. Glad my car is AWD for sure. Jenny was also a very responsive host for any questions before and during our stay! We would absolutely visit again. :)

The home was perfect for our family of 7. There was plenty of space and beds for everyone! Very family oriented and private! The location was great for us! Tom and his wife were great with communications and even put a Christmas tree up for us last minute! We visited Helen, GA as well, which was about a little over an hr drive (whindy- mountain roads). Overall, it was a great place !

This location was perfect for the location we needed to be. The Wi-Fi worked great, which was critical for me to work remotely. The host was very responsive. The apartment was very clean and had many amenities we were not expecting.

Joanie's cabin is everything she described it to be. It is a quick jaunt up the hill from the main highway, but within minutes you feel like you have left the hustle and bustle. The home is nestled in a bed of trees, blocking you from surrounding homes. When perched on the back porch and gazing at the gorgeously breathtaking landscape (literally our most favorite spot!)...you see nothing but rolling hills and valleys. So tranquil and inspiring. A sanctuary for the heart, mind and soul. Truly, if you are seeking a place to step away from the noise and recollect yourself, this is the haven for you. My husband and I, having both lost our mothers in the same year, needed a retreat where work, chores, and the noise of day-to-day needs and activities were a distant thought. This was perfect for our needs. And Joanie is so kind, considerate and responsive to her guests. We will definitely consider returning for another retreat!
