Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Charlotte

We had an amazing stay at Bjorn's beautiful home where it was as picture-perfect as advertised! It is a gorgeous and modern home that was clean, well-stocked, and uniquely designed in such stunning surroundings (even in the rainy weather!). We cannot recommend Bjorn's home enough and are so appreciative of his accommodations in helping us celebrate our Middlebury grad!

Thank you, Palmer for an enjoyable stay at your beautiful lake house. We came up for a college tour of UVM and the location was perfect. It took us only 20 minutes to get there and then at the end of our day we came back to relax and unwind at your comfy and spotless home. Every room was beautifully furnished , comfortable and really just felt homey. The kids enjoyed hanging out downstairs watching movies while the adults enjoyed cocktails and talking all while taking in the amazing view of the lake. We had a wonderful time and would certainly return. Only two minor issues, one of which just might have been our own unfamiliarity with the home. The living room gets really warm and even though we turned down the thermostat, it kept creeping up. But it could have even been the fact that it was so sunny one of the days we were there. A minor issue. Outside, the railing to get down from the deck to the yard is a bit wobbly in places and may be due to be replaced soon. Also, no big deal.

Overall, a great place to stay if you want a “camping” experience without the tent. Beautiful location, a short drive to a lot of the high peaks, and the place had all the basics you need. Our actual trip was unfortunately not perfect due to the weather, and Gregory offered us a free night because of it, which we appreciated. I’d definitely come back again. The only piece of information, if you aren’t a fan of bugs, pick a hotel, the place was as clean as you could make it, but some ants will get in, and it was a bit cobwebby. None of it bothered me and my stay but just know that it is still the outdoors and that’ll happen.

This was an excellent place to stay on Lake Champlain. The house was kid friendly, which was perfect for our three young kids. They felt right at home. It was an easy walk to the peaceful, quiet beach. We hope to come back again next summer!!

We loved David's home and felt at home during our stay. The area is beautiful, peaceful, and quiet. We felt the hosts were responsive, accessible, and helpful. The home is clean, comfortable, and cozy. We would definitely stay again!

The pictures on the site represent 100% and more! We arrived close to midnight in complete darkness only to wake with the peaceful sounds of nature, surrounded by majestic trees and lush northern foliage. My only regret was that I had to rush back home and not have more time to explore the area. Don’t pass up on an opportunity to stay at Raquel’s gorgeous, warm and inviting woodland cabin, unless you prefer hotel powdered eggs 🤣

We loved this house. We were in the area for Middlebury graduation and the house and location were great, 30 mim to Burlington and Middlebury both. Plus, Ken put together a great list of local spots, and we hit many of them--the old brick store, the hen of the wood restaurant in burlington, O bread in Shelburne, etc. Charlotte is a beautiful area. The house is really well done, clean, tasteful, cozy, with a well equipped kitchen. Lovely.

The views were absolutely spectacular. Place was spotless and fairly comfortable. (I have had spinal fusion due to severe arthritis so not much is comfortable) my son said it was comfortable and loved the area. Would highly recommend going to their place. If I come back I would stay again. Thank you.

Very tranquil place, very clean shower, comfortable bed, great amenities, lots of magazines and easy to use television. Very short distance from Montpelier. Nice bird variety, lovely flowers, you can hear the river from the apartment. Bridge is cool, river bank is fun, chairs outside.

a very nice and quiet place for me and my friends to relax! the river was sooo beautiful townake up to in the morning and we all made some s'mores by the campfire! right next to a nice restaurant and a Stewart's so we could even get everything we needed for the fire! would come back here again and thanks for letting us stay!

Every little detail about this quaint apartment suited us perfectly! We were in a beautiful space that fit my family of 4 very comfortably! After a 6 1/2 hour drive without stopping for food we were beyond excited and thankful to be greeted with a homemade loaf of sourdough bread and a basket full of treats! The space is perfectly appointed and pristine! We were just minutes away from our daughter whom we were visiting at UVM, and minutes from the lake, river and pond for my husband and son fishing enthusiasts! Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

We had the most fantastic stay with Sheila and Jeremy! The home was spotless and beautifully decorated. Sheila was a proactive and responsive communicator. But what stood out to us more than anything were the various thoughtful touches provided during our stay. We arrived late, after a long drive, and Sheila and Jeremy were there to meet us in person and help carry our bags inside. They had fresh muffins waiting and even left some snacks (cheese, crackers, grapes) in the fridge in case we hadn’t eaten dinner. They also provided coffee, tea, milk, honey, which was great in the mornings, and we so appreciated having access to the washer & dryer to do some laundry. Overall, we can’t say enough good things about our stay and we hope to return!

Jackie and Boris were great hosts. Their home had everything we needed and more for our stay. We came up for a concert with our girls and the location was perfect!! We will absolutely stay again next time we are in the area.

This is exactly as it should always be! Roger was simply proactive and gave us all the necessary instructions and information. Really a place we look forward to go back to.

Rolf’s place was fantastic. We were only coming into town for one night and wanted somewhere centrally located to be able to explore Burlington in the morning. I wish we could have stayed longer at Rolf’s place! It was perfectly suited for my brother and me, and we loved being so close to the lake. I would absolutely stay here again!

Great place to stay for exploring the Adirondacks. Peaceful and quiet house with everything you need.

Not sure if it was the mattress, the sheets and quilt, the pillows, the Vermont woods, Vermont fresh air, or the rain hitting the roof… maybe all of it… but, my husband and I have not slept so well in… maybe EVER! Rob’s home is super comfy and dog friendly. The hot tub is a nice feature and works wonderfully. If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful location for your visit, this hits all the marks. Sitting outside with your morning coffee is a treat. If weather doesn’t cooperate, recommend sitting in the den in front of the picture window. Our old dog truly appreciated exploring the fenced yard, and we loved allowing him off off-leash. Great place to stay!

This is a really beautiful location. The pictures are accurate but they don't quite capture the scale of the bay, lake, and peninsula. You're perched up on a hill or cliff and the birds-eye perspective makes for a great view. The owners are welcoming but respect your privacy. Ausable Chasm is definitely worth the visit. It takes several hours to explore the trails so keep in mind to bring some water. I found Keeseville the perfect place for a peaceful getaway, away from all the traffic and nonsense associated with our daily lives. There are a couple of good spots to eat in town and everything is about 10 minutes from the cabin. Lake Placid is about 45 minutes way if you're looking for other things to do. The drive up Whiteface Mountain is breathtaking and High Falls Gorge is nice, but the gorge pales in comparison to Ausable Chasm.

The cabin was great - super cozy and quiet. The hot tub looks out on a tranquil forest with lots of birds and deer. It was a great stay, highly recommended!

We could not have asked for a better place to stay. Gorgeous house, absolutely spotless. Amazing stay, will definitely be coming back again!

We had an amazing stay at the Waldhaus. It’s so quiet and serene, and we loved the view from the huge picture windows in the living room. Our kids felt right at home with the bunk beds and puzzles/activities. The kitchen is extremely well-equipped. We hope to return soon!

The house is private and fit the three of us well. Lots of outdoor space, fire pit! Weather was rainy for most of our visit but enjoyed visiting Waterbury and waitsfield and had great meals!!

Sweet little cozy camp, very clean and comfortable. I would certainly stay again.
