Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Charley Young Beach

It was a great home. It was in a central location to get to all the places we wanted to visit. We loved to just walk around the area, great food, great shopping nearby!!

This home is extremely well equipped with everything you may need. Kitchen tools, speaker to play music, beach gear and towels, it's all there. The house has a beautiful garden and it's a quiet neighborhood. Cassie is very responsive and flexible. She gave us some great recommendations in the area. The location of the house is very convenient, centrally located on the island. Beds are comfortable and so is the living room. If we come back to Maui we will stay here again!

This house is located in a quiet and safe neighborhood, with easy access to major destinations on the island. k Kitchen is fully stocked and bathroom is clean. The retractable roof shade is really nice! The host is friendly and nice to communicate. Hope to be back sometime in the future. Thank you so much for the accomodation!

Scott was a helpful and very friendly host. He gave us a ton of tips and guides on what to do in Maui. His place is so close to the beach that it is highly recommended to walk to the beach early in the morning, around 6am, to get the most out of his location. His place was spotless and clean, with no issues. He has all the kitchen items you needed if you wanted to make a quick breakfast before heading out to the road to Hana, or to the national park! He is such a great host and I will be going back to him when I visit Maui again in the near future. As always, please start your mornings early! Around 6/7am the latest, because Maui is incredible during the early mornings. Scott has a ton of recommendations so he will help you with any advice that you need to really make the most out of your Maui trip. 5/5 stars for Scott and for Scott’s Airbnb. This home was as described and the view is out of this world. Every morning we would enjoy our coffee and every evening we would love watching the sunset from the lanai. As you can see from other reviews, this house gets 5 stars because the pros are endless. However - we want to go over a few cons because as a group we rented both sides of the townhouse ($$$$$) and there were some issues that we felt may have swayed our decision to stay there had we known. 1) The homeless in the area. There is public beach access next door to an empty lot - There is then a church that provides free daily meals right behind the home. Put all of this together and the area has become a hang out spot. We had authorities called twice (sleeping in the bushes right outside our room that had bars installed on the windows/blocking the driveway) but could have called them every day. 2) No AC (we knew this) but it gets HOT and if you have littles it will be a problem. 3) Rocky beach entry. Bring water shoes!

Our stay at Jacque’s place was perfect! The house was in a convenient location to all the things we were doing! Jacque was a great host and very accommodating for our arrival and departure times as well as responsive! The house was clean and cozy and had everything we needed (:

Sandra was very nice. The house was clean and exactly what we expected. She offered great suggestions when we asked for recommendations on places to visit. I would definitely recommend staying here.

The Turtle House was welcoming, comfortable, and spacious for four adults. Peacefully located between Paia and beautiful beaches, it was a perfect base. We especially enjoyed quiet mornings and lunches on the side porch.

A++++++ owners, place was great for what we needed. Sleeps 2-3 comfy, might be able to squeeze in a 4th. Full mini kitchen, patio, pool/spa/BBQ’s, tennis courts. 1/4 mile walking distance to beach. Cute wildlife w/ birds & chicken all over property. Everyone was friendly. 5-10min from downtown Kihei shopping & grocery stores.

The location in Kihei was perfect for our trip to Haleakalā National Park, only a one-hour drive! There were also many beaches and restaurants within walking distance of the condo.

We had a wonderful stay! The condo was perfect for our needs. We cook a lot on vacation because we have kids with allergies and pretty much everything we needed was there (couldn't find pot holders, but we used a towel instead). The place was clean and the view was amazing! The location couldn't have been better - quick walk to the beach and beautiful sunsets on the beach. The condo building was also very well maintained and everyone working there was very friendly. It all made for a wonderful vacation!

Marie was fantastic! Her place was spotless, and I felt right at home. I’ve traveled all over and stayed in several Airbnbs, but Marie’s place has everything one could think of. Like ziplock bags and laundry baskets. It is the little things that makes this spot worth it. It was also very clean and located near some great food spots. A bonus was having a sauna to use at our disposal. I would definitely book this Airbnb again.

Our stay in Kihei was great! Anke’s place was very cute and comfortable with a perfect view from the lanai. All communication was professional and reliable 💕

Both beds were extremely comfortable. The location couldn’t have been more perfect just steps away from Kam II beach and walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Everything was perfect for our short 2 night stay and we would definitely stay here again!

I was impressed with the outside view - the view matched description perfectly. The host is very responsive. We could get the A/C to work in the living room since as there are special instructions to follow but the host took the time to respond back to us at late hour and immediately scheduled a maintenance crew to inspect the very next day. There aren’t many food options walking distance (more or less 30min), but we had a car so everything worked out great! Otherwise no problems at checking in or finding the place. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay here! Perfect location, steps to the beach, great restaurants close by, and super walkable. The place was stocked with umbrellas, chairs, coolers, blenders, etc. Bed was comfy too. The balcony though, sealed the deal! We spent our early evenings playing games, having drinks and watching the sunset. Will definitely come back! The only negative was that the AC pushed all the heat onto the balcony which made for an even hotter balcony but small potatoes! Was still enjoyable.

Really enjoyed our stay, and Malinee the host, was so extremely accommodating. We didn’t want to leave and actually extended our stay twice while we were there. She made it so easy. The place was clean and comfortable, enjoyed the pool daily and liked the privacy of the lanai! We didn’t even need the air conditioning on the beautiful Maui nights! We had a wonderful stay! The location couldn’t have been more convenient—just a short walk to the beach, shops, restaurants, and a grocery store. It made getting around with my 7-year-old so easy and stress-free. The place itself was clean, comfortable, and felt like home from the moment we arrived. Jon was a fantastic host—very responsive, thoughtful, and accommodating. He provided clear instructions for everything and went above and beyond by offering great suggestions for kid-friendly activities we could enjoy during our stay. This was truly a perfect home base for our time in the area.

We had a great stay at Lauren and Pete’s place! They were incredibly friendly and accommodating – they allowed us an early check-in and were quick to help with anything we needed. Communication was always fast and very warm. The apartment was clean and well-equipped, with thoughtful touches like snacks and beach gear that really made a difference. You can tell they care about their guests. The location is also fantastic – just a short walk to the beach. Highly recommend!

Great location. Walkable to a ton of stuff. Nice and clean. Lots of supplies. Just be aware that the AC is only in the living area. If you run warm, the bedroom will feel a bit uncomfortable for you. Not an issue for us, some fans took care of it!

Enjoyed our stay in Kihei ! Breathtaking view. A walkable neighborhood. The other beaches we checked out weren’t a far drive either. Communication was reliable when needed. Area was quiet. All the included beach items made our beach days super easy. Instructions for arrival and departure were clear and helpful.

Chenwei has a beautiful condo with an even better location. It’s in walking distance of downtown Kihei where all the local restaurants and shops are. There is also a beautiful park for sunsets. Very clean condo and looked as it did online. Chenwei is quick to respond very helpful. The condo is stocked with everything you could need such as laundry, cleaning supplies and beach accessories. Our group had a wonderful time!
