Recently renovated hand-built log cabin with amazing outdoor space. Very cozy and comfortable. A great family hangout space, indoors and out. One bedroom/loft/sofa bed. Close to Nemacolin Woodlands Resort, Frank Lloyd Wright's Falling Water, Ohiopyle, and many outdoor activities including rafting, hiking, biking, and kayaking. There's a smart TV for those rainy or cold days, as well as some games and books. A beautiful spot to simply relax, and a great base location for your next adventure.

We've stayed at Bob and Nina's place twice and both times have been so peaceful and relaxing. The property is beautiful with many walking trails and fun activities to do outside. The deck is a perfect place for a morning coffee or to sit and enjoy a good book and a local beer. The hosts are friendly, helpful, and responsive. Always there to help if you need anything and did all the little things to make our stay memorable. We will definitely be back - it's a great place to start family traditions!

We really enjoyed our stay. It was easy to find with GPS and a quick 10 minute drive into town. The place was very clean and spacious. We appreciated being able to bring our dog. The covered porch was nice as it had a gate so the dog could be out with us off leash. Perfect place to read and watch the rain. This place is handicap friendly which wasn't a necessity for us but is a wonderful feature. I really appreciated the hot and cold drinking water system and the selection of beverages, especially the caffeine free tea options. Well stocked with cups and plates if needed. You will be greeted by a friendly cat when driving up, just be careful as I saw him laying under our car so we always checked around for him before pulling out. I would recommend staying here to anyone visiting Ohiopyle!

The 1848 was a super cute place that used space well. It was perfect for my partner and I in terms of space. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable and we both slept incredibly well. The only things we did not like were the lack of utensils in the kitchenette and that the noise from the street was very loud (which we know is not changeable). The host's communication and instructions were wonderful and we felt comfortable in our little home away from home for the four days we were there. Having off street parking was great too. All-in-all, we would stay there again if we were ever in the area in the future.

This was a perfect stay for us! Keith was a generous and responsive host who immediately made us feel right at home. The space was super clean and location convenient for our evening event. Keith greeted us in person and we especially enjoyed the delicious breakfast and friendly conversation in the morning. Easy parking, clear and detailed messages, and the kindness of Keith contributed to a wonderful memory. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
