Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Central Austin

My daughter and I stayed here while we were having some work done on our home. Not only was Johann's place welcoming with an open feel to the kitchen/living area, but the porch was always shaded and inviting. For our dog (and us), I love that it was surrounded by green space despite the neighborhood having so many great restaurants within an easy walk. Definitely chose right for our staycation!

We had a great stay at this home and really appreciated how communicative the host was-always quick to respond to any questions. The home felt very “lived in,” which we actually appreciated for a kid-friendly stay. The photos were accurate overall, though the exterior was more overgrown than expected and the trampoline looked a bit “play at your own risk.” That said, our kids had an amazing time with the seemingly endless toys, and it was a huge relief not having to bring bulky items like a stroller or a Pack ‘n Play, since they’re here. The beds were very comfortable, the A/C kept us cool during a hot Austin weekend, and having a good washer/dryer made life easier. The location is definitely a strong point—easy access to some great local spots, including Launderette and Bufalina, both of which we’d highly recommend. Check-out was simple. Our only real suggestion would be a deeper cleaning refresh to match the overall comfort and utility. This place is equipped for families!

Lee was very accommodating for our stay. The beds were so comfortable and the house had everything we needed. Also loved the area of town it was in - close to walking trails and lots of fun things to do. We will be back!

first Airbnb stay in Austin with my pupper 🐕 and was absolutely worth it! I would definitely stay here again! beautiful quiet neighborhood, walkable area, street parking available right in front of the house, few minute drive into downtown and hiking trails. fully fenced in yard with patio furniture to chill in. I cannot wait to visit again and stay in this cozy home 😊

The place was fantastic with a great view. The only hiccup was that they initially sent me the house rules for a different property but that was quickly remedied and our stay was fantastic.

I loved this stay! The house was beautiful with cool midcentury vibes, and the location was perfect. It was quiet, convenient, and easy to access. Parking was super easy, and everything about the check-in and stay was smooth. I’d definitely stay here again!

Great value in an excellent location. Check in was a bit tricky. Complex is like a maze but the screenshots provided during checkin with directions was helpful. We did get lost leaving the unit a couple times but after some time you get acclimated to the area. Never used our vehicle as there was tons to do in walking distance of the unit.

Phenomenal backyard complete with a cowboy pool and lots of seating. The location and decor were great as well. We will definitely be back.

My stay at The Overlook was very relaxing and peaceful. The house is stocked with all the amenities needed to feel like a home away from home. I loved the gourmet kitchen. The appliances and gadgets are all top quality. I loved the fancy coffee maker and there is also a beautiful espresso maker if you’re into that. The hosts made it easy by providing ground coffee in the fridge as well as creamer! The upstairs bathroom has a beautiful shower and is fully equipped with everything you need. The bed I slept in was comfortable and the linens spotless. The decor is tasteful with a fun Austin/Texas theme. The yard is fenced and private. This house is the perfect place to stay if you want to be near all that Austin has to offer but also want to have a comfortable home-base to come back to and recharge your batteries!

Heather is an exceptional host and the home, property, and neighborhood are pristine and just as pictured. My family and I had the best time during our extended stay here. The house is immaculate and has everything you need and more, the neighborhood is very quiet, peaceful, walkable, and you can see for miles from the lovely patio. Heather was unbelievably helpful, communicative, and kind. Would give this Airbnb and host 100 stars if I could!! Thank you Heather for everything, we hope to come back soon!

We loved this cute little house in Austin! It was so comfortable and cozy. The location is great and central to everything and even though it’s close to the highway we barely heard any traffic noise. Jennifer is a fantastic host and was so responsive to any question that I had. She went above and beyond to fix an AC issue and make sure we were comfortable. Absolutely would stay again!

Excellent value for what we paid! Location and price were perfect for us while our son was at orientation at UT. We could get to campus in just a few minutes. It was SO NICE to have a guaranteed parking spot as those are hard to come by in the area! Soft bed, great kitchen amenities, A/C kept it nice and cool, very clean. (Just be sure to take your own blow dryer. It’s very clear in the listing that one is not provided however, I failed to see that and had to buy one. Completely my fault! I just thought it might be helpful to point that out to avid review readers like myself. :) Thank you for hosting us!

Incredibly worthwhile stay. Spent a week at the house and it was great! The home itself is quite small but cozy, the neighborhood is walkable, and downtown is just a few minutes away! Would highly recommend this place for a cozy getaway!

Awesome location, very close to commodities. Neighborhood was peaceful and very quiet with some friendly neighbors! All amenities provided were well maintained and bed was comfortable!
