Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Carolina Beach

Excellent time staying NCB at Dorthy’s. The pictures honestly do not do the house justice. It’s beautiful, clean and well decorated. I contact Dorthy a few times during the week and she was always polite and quick to respond. The house was well stocked (also probably to some degree from prior guests) and had everything you could imagine. If we knew exactly how much we would be available we would have packed even lighter! You can’t walk to the beach but it’s so close it wasn’t an issue for us. Actually kinda liked being away from the main drag. Her neighbors were also friendly. Love the house. It’s the perfect size for a family getaway. Giving everyone enough space to decompress after a long journey and everything is clean and modern. We don’t typically revisit the same beaches for summer vacation but this one certainly made us rethink our decision as it was so nice. Highly recommend!

My family all loved Charlie’s house! It was a great layout for adults chatting around the kitchen bar while kids had room to play. Kitchen was well equipped and furniture was comfortable. Having the linens in plastic wrap was a nice touch and felt very clean and safe. The beach was really nice in front of the house. Climbing over the dunes gave us a good workout, but also gave us privacy from beach walkers, etc. Hoping to rent here again!

Loved our stay and our toddler enjoyed being in the pool. Great outdoor locations and amenities. Friendly and helpful host. Looking forward to stay in future.

Wow! Loved this sweet, chic beach cottage, very short walk to the beach, where we saw some serious surfing. House is super clean and comfy, and the host thought of everything -- king beds, great kitchen setup, and every beach toy you can imagine. Did a lot of reading and relaxed on the big front porch -- it's on a quiet residential street where you can hear the ocean a block away but lots of birdsong, too. Closer to Kure than Carolina, which we liked. Spent an evening watching the sunset at Fort Fisher and another checking out the historic boardwalk at Carolina Beach. New fave beach rental: we will be back!

Our stay was wonderful! Very close to the beach access & easy to walk to restaurants and back and forth to the beach. The place was the cleanest place we have ever stayed. There was plenty of room for everyone (we had 6 adults and 4 kids) and the place had everything we needed! We would definitely stay again!

Heather's place worked perfectly for our girls weekend. It has everything you need. Heather was responsive and was as flexible with the check-in as was practical. Her house is comfortable, as were the beds. The bedrooms are upstairs and surprisingly stayed cooler than the main level. The decor is cheery and the orchids she is growing in her kitchen are impressive. She has a nice backyard as well. The location was convenient for going to a show at the Wilson Center, which was the reason for our trip. Do yourself a favor and while you're there and if you have a car (which I recommend having), go to Tandoori Bites for their lunch special and Jackson's Big Oak Barbecue for some local flavor. We also thought the Stanley Rehder Carnivorous Plant Garden was pretty cool, in a low-key kind of way. Carolina Beach is about 30 minutes away and worth checking out. Say hi to the nice folks at Carolina Surf Brand. We had a perfect stay. We couldn't be happier and highly recommend!

Absolutely Loved Jessica’s beautiful beach home, Super bummed to leave but will definitely book in the future. The home was so reasonably priced, Has everything and anything you could think of or need. I loved all the details in decor, all the extras including a bunch of beach towels, chairs, pool toys and floaties. The kitchen is stocked with all you could need. Very detailed instructions, and of course The GOLF CART! Thank you for sharing your home with us this weekend

We visited Wilmington for a concert at Live Oak Bank Pavilion. We enjoyed the restaurants and shops close by. Loved the view. Slept comfortably in the king bed. We would definitely stay here again. Oh, and the host is very responsive and helpful.

Surf Shack an incredible place great location, super clean, intimate fun space but best of all 110% beach vibe from lovely outdoor porch to great indoor space. Sam and Cherie best hosts ever and I have done alot of airbnb's!!

This bnb was perfect for a girls trip. Couldn't recommend a better place! Host was responsive, instructions were very clear, and the place was spotless. Absolutely loved our time here.

We booked for a weekend trip to explore Wilmington and have a get away! Our trip was great as the airbnb was conveniently minutes to downtown, Ubers were easy to book. We plan on staying here yearly! It’s so nice to find great hosts who were very accommodating and responsive.

Outstanding location. Easy access to Topsail and Wilmington. Beautiful layout and will return. Everything you needed or possibly wanted was there. Extremely friendly.

It is also near restaurants, groceries, & anything else you need for your time at the beach! If you like to cook, the beautiful kitchen is spacious & well appointed, & there are multiple areas for service & eating! From the huge main living area you will enjoy gorgeous ocean views & tons of natural light, with generous space & multiple gathering areas, which make it both cozy & wide open all at the same time! The vast master bedroom/bath is a showstopper, & all 3 bedrooms have comfy beds, ample storage, & private bathrooms, plus gorgeous views from 2 balconies, perfect for watching sunrises, a rainstorm, or summer fireworks at the Boardwalk. The pictures are gorgeous, yet they don’t do this seaside home justice! We WILL be back!

John and his co-hosts were amazing! Immediately upon arrival we were welcomed as family. They really went above and beyond in every aspect. The place was cleaned to perfection and there was so much to do! We were able to schedule an animal tour the same day, grill outside using their supplies and really relax as much as possible. Our room featured a private balcony and bathroom, but really the entire property should be highlighted. The hosts recommended beaches and restaurants for us to enjoy, and as we were checking out, John let us know that he was preparing breakfast for us as well! We were able to leave this amazing place with a full belly, homegrown fruits and veggies, eggs, and great memories. We will be back to visit for sure. Thanks again John B., John M, and Diana.

Words can’t express how much I enjoyed staying at John’s place. It was an amazing experience we will NEVER forget. It was by far my favorite bnb and I’ve stayed at a couple of Airbnbs. It’s close to the beach but it didn’t really matter because we wanted to spend all our time on his property. It was clean and there’s a ton of rooms in the villa! It is decorated so nice and the exotic animal farm he has is amazing! We stayed during the 4th of July and he had food waiting for us in their beautiful outside kitchen when we got back! You won’t want to leave the property. The pool was great and the rooms and bathrooms are so clean! I can’t wait to stay at their place again! I loved every second and they were all extremely responsive. They had fresh eggs and tomatoes that I brought home. Book your stay! You won’t regret it.

I decided last minute that I needed a getaway with some relaxation and an stress-free time. John’s place popped up to the top of the results list. I had never booked anything where you shared space but I decided to give it a try because of the good reviews and the fact that my husband’s name was John. I just felt like it was ok and safe. I’m glad I decided to try it. Both John’s and Diana were super sweet and so helpful.The house is beautiful.The rooms have top of the line bedding and beautiful decor. The kitchen was stocked with some food and John cooked several times for people. I’ve never had that at a place before so that was so helpful on saving some money with eating out. Plus they had garden tomatoes so I enjoyed like 10 tomato sandwiches.The animal tour was so cool. It was amazing to me to see how many animals , especially birds. It was really impressive; feeding the lemurs lollipops & holding the baby wallaby, Casper, was really cool.i highly recommend!! I will be back. Thanks

Honestly an amazing experience, even when you see the price you get the experience to match, in the best of ways. An amazing room with a fantastic shower and John was extremely friendly the entire time! There was a great welcome book with clear instructions. we had a great breakfast with farm fresh eggs provided by the host. The animals were beautiful and we loved the tour that was included.
