Beautiful spot on the water, with a perfect little area for the kids to wade into the lake. A dock for fishing, kayaks, and paddle boards. I love that there were kids size life jackets, made me much more comfortable with the kids playing in the water. Very cozy cottage and had everything we needed. I look forward to booking it again :)

Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Had such a relaxing time at the river nest and I would 100% recommend booking this spot. Will plan to go back in the future for sure!! Our hosts were so kind and made us feel right at home! The master bed was so comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need, and if you like sitting by the fire you'll love the cozzy vibes! My son and I rented a place last year from Alison that set the tone really high for any future air b&b experiences and despite that one being an absolute blast we somehow were treated to an even more amazing experience at The Treehouse Cabin! This had everything we could have asked for, children's playstructure, fire pit, hot tub, hammock and chairs, outdoor seating, a gorgeous view of the water that we even managed to go swimming in despite it being early May. Awesome right? We haven't even touched on the interior. The cottage has the sort of charm that only these two could put on. Beautiful interior, Alison's best pillows,throw blankets, comfortable seating etc. Not to mention the fantastic carrot cake that I had been hoping for since last years rental! The master bedroom was about as relaxing a sleep as one could hope for and the cottage had everything one could possibly need. Before leaving we booked the cottage again! Thanks for giving us memories that will last forever!

Fantastic setting! The place was clean and very well equipped, we lacked nothing. Our hosts were very responsive and helpful when we had questions. Wonderful clean lake and fun to explore with their kayaks. We found the indoor space a little tight (family of 5 adults), the rooms were small but comfortable. The outdoor space was phenomenal, lots of sitting areas, fire pits and we enjoyed the hot tub! It is not good for people with reduced mobility however. There are lots of stairs!

My second time staying at this Airbnb! Sandy and her husband are very friendly and the communication was always great! Sandy’s place is very spacious and we absolutely loved being right on the Ottawa River, the suite is very close to a few restaurants (we had dinner at THE POINT was very yummy) nearby although Kanata is only 30 minutes away will definitely come again. Thanks, Sandy.☺️

I had a fabulous time staying at The Nellie. Surrounded by the entrancing Gatineau River, The Nellie is an ideal place for those looking for a secluded escape. The Gatineau River essentially creates an archipelago, with countless islands to photograph and explore. Lac-Sainte-Marie is accessible by canoe or kayak, though I would recommend bringing a physical map and compass to avoid getting lost. The Nellie is a perfect option for those who want a unique, rustic experience. Keep in mind, there's no electricity or running water, so plan your meals accordingly. Extremely charming nonetheless. If you are less comfortable with a canoe/kayak I would recommend staying at The Dragon. Transportation to either location is available. I didn't meet Bonnie or Jaques, but I did meet Andrew! He was respectful and punctual, very communicative and easy-going. He's a really solid dude. I will plan my next trip to The Nellie in the near future. I already miss it!

We are very pleased with our overall experience and look forward to future bookings. The house is large and will sleep eight. We hope more of our children's families will travel with us next time. Our family near this property has a small home, so this home is large enough for us to gather inside and spend time together.

The perfect place for a weekend get away. The photos dont do it justice. Quiet and peaceful to get away from the city life. The pool was amazing, and everything you could imagine needing was there. Very clean and comfortable. Wish I was there right now.

Clean modern style house, overlooking the water with a beautiful view. Definitely a summer place to rent to use the backyard with its swimming pool and bbq to spend time with friends

We stayed at this beautiful lakehouse over the May long weekend and had an amazing time! The home is spacious, stylish, and very well-equipped — exactly as described. The access to the lake was great, with equipment to kayak and paddleboard. There's tons of fun activities you can do with family and friends! The only downside was that the pool hadn’t been cleaned long enough in advance, so it wasn’t clear during our stay. We understand it can be tough to time with the seasonal transition, and Trish and her husband were very kind and responsive about it. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely come back. Highly recommend this place for a peaceful lakeside getaway!

Arda is a gracious host. She is very welcoming and attentive to your needs. She is very flexible with check in and checking out. She is very friendly. I enjoy coming back every year!

Shirley's place is cozy yet spacious with a well equipped kitchen. It was the perfect place to spend during the Christmas holidays thanks to lots of Christmas decorations and a hot wood stove. Beds and sofas are comfy. Highly recommended.

It's a beautiful place to go away with family. We enjoyed the hotub an the paddle boards an kayak. The weather wasn't great but we took advantage of games indoor an still managed to have a campfire every day!

We stayed at La Belle Denis cabin and it was literally as presented in the picture. The cabin is warm in winter with hot water ! Perfect for a weekend gateway. We love the quietness in winter and the trail on the property. We hope to comeback in Summer to check out the lake! Shu

This place is really lovely, peaceful and quiet. The grounds are gorgeous and everything in the home was really well stocked and nicely furnished. Just a note that it was cold and we didn’t use the screened in dining/living area. It is open air, so be mindful. We would recommend! Great remote getaway!

Amazing stay! Everything you needed was provided for your stay. The place was perfect and the river was a nice bonus with kayaks to enjoy a paddle. We would book again.

We had such an amazing time. Never a moment of "what to do next". The house was very clean and well equipped. Really all you need is a toothbrush, and you're good to go. 😆 Our nights of sitting around the campfire, playing pool, board games, and paddle boarding will forever be a memorable vacation. The amount of board games is incredible! Though to me the paddle board was everything. Laying on that board out in the middle of the water in complete silence..there's nothing like it. Such a peaceful spot. Highly recommend, and will absolutely be visiting again. Also, downtown being close, was key. Our first day was spent walking throughout the city enjoying all of the amazing architecture, Museums and visiting the ByWard Market. The amount of food and shopping is fantastic. Another must see is the Diefenbunker. We spent 3 hours touring the 4 underground levels. You have opened our eyes on just how beautiful Ottawa is, and we look forward to our next journey there. I can't say enough good about this beautiful cottage on the St. Lawrence River. It was clean, comfortable, quiet. Everything I was looking for for my overnight stay. And the view cannot be beat. Lisa was such a responsive host. She was so kind and helpful and made my stay superb. Would highly recommend and would go back in a heartbeat.
