“Incredible views particularly hill country sunset and lake--we even experienced a couple of majestic thunderstorms lighting up the sky. Balconies are a highlight for our family from early morning to late night as is the well-kept swimming pool. Large open kitchen space accommodates many cooks and the drink refrigerator is a bonus. A/c is super responsive even in summer heat. Beds are super comfortable; large master space with incredible views too; and exterior shade can be found at all times of day.”

“This place was great! We loved that the trail offered great scenery and private access to the lake with much fewer people than normal. We initially thought that we wouldn’t have privacy since the place is right near the street, but it was calm all night and we had fun. Would book again.”

“My daughter and I took a quick two-day trip to the Ramseys' cottage. We were looking for a relatively isolated house that was clean and close to the river. A good bathroom and kitchen are a must for us. We were surprised to discover that the house was only a 50-minute drive from our door in Austin. We took all our own food and didn't need to stop anywhere on the way from Austin. The little cottage looked and smelled very, very clean. And it has a large yard that gives one a lot of space. The cottage sits across from the river with a view of the river and some beautiful old cypress trees. We could walk to either of the two parks, a block in either direction. The owners provided the innertubes and we floated in the cool water and felt like we were in another world. The house is quiet and has good bedding and a well-stocked kitchen. We had everything we needed. We grilled over an open fire and sat on the porch at night and enjoyed every minute. It's not too rustic or too fancy. It's not too big but it has high ceilings and a loft so it feels bigger. It has good a/c. It's just the right blend of a Wimberly experience we had hoped for. We will return as we really can't think of a better spot.”
