We absolutely loved this cabin. Beautiful, peaceful atmosphere. I loved sitting on the covered deck watching the rain. We brought 4 high school graduates for senior trip. They had a blast fishing in the kayaks and Jon boat. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub. Lots of ducks, cranes and turtles. Fishing wasn’t as great as we hoped, but fun! My husband even took kayak over under one of the big bridges to fish and had a great time. I enjoyed the peacefulness there. Definitely recommend and will definitely come back. The kitchen is amazing! Also love the big windows looking out on the water.

The BASShole was absolutely amazing and Beautiful. We were so in love with this place that we booked it again for July 4th! The house was so cute and clean, the decor was amazing with the Bass everywhere! The View is GORGEOUS and April was an amazing host, responsive, informative and very friendly and professional!! If you are looking for a spot to fish, cookout, be with nature this is the place!

This house completely exceeded our expectations! There were so many activities and amenities that the group of teenagers I brought were easily entertained all weekend, even when the weather wasn’t cooperating. There is also enough space that everyone could spread out, and the layout is great. It’s in a super convenient location, so it was no problem to run to the store or go see a movie on a whim. The house was stocked with anything you could need. The area is quiet & peaceful with super nice neighbors. My kids are already asking me when we can go back!

We truly enjoyed our stay at this Airbnb! The entire experience was relaxing and memorable. The backyard was absolutely beautiful and one of our favorite spots to unwind. We also had a great time using the kayaks and spending evenings on the outdoor patio deck—it was the perfect setup for enjoying nature and fresh air. The Airbnb was well-maintained, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The host was incredibly helpful and responsive, guiding us through all the features of the home and answering our questions promptly. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and we’d love to return again. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and well-equipped getaway!

Perfect Private Getaway! I stayed at the Dark Horse Cabin at Blackwood Resort and it was everything I hoped for. The cabin itself was stunning—beautifully designed, clean, and incredibly cozy. The views were beautiful, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing staycation or a quick private escape from the city. Denise, the host, was super friendly, helpful, and always available if we needed anything. Whether you're looking for peace, privacy, or just a beautiful place to unwind, this cabin checks all the boxes. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

My wife and I enjoy making weekend trips to Broken Bow. Not so much for Broken Bow, but because the cabin, woods, and mountains are fun. But it is a 3 hour drive, 6 hours round trip. We decided to try this out because it was an hour drive from Dallas. The cabin is very nice. It is very secluded. It is a nice, serene area surrounding by trees with a nice fishing pond out front. We did not fish, but we did watch a crane that swimming and flying in and out of the fishing pond. I worked during the day using very good and reliable WiFi. Our only issue was not being able to make the outdoor speakers work with our streaming device - and the host offered to help - but I just decided it wasn't that important and so I didn't reply to the offer to help. We will be back for sure. Very peaceful. And I really liked the proximity to Dallas. You could go to Lake Tawakoni - we did not. I have been before, but it was not the purpose of the trip. Will stay again and recommend to others.

Absolutely gorgeous place! It was a great little getaway for a night. Would definitely return. The only downside to this place was little to no cell reception but other than that it was great!

What a beautiful Air bnb! We stayed one night during a cross country road strip and wished we had time for a second night. The pool and hot tub area was beautiful and there were so many toys and activities for kids. Inside the house was just wonderful…we felt so at home and there were so many lovely touches. We have stayed in a lot of air bnbs and this one really was one of the best. It had every kitchen utensil or kitchen equipment you could dream of, with drawers and cupboards clearly labeled making it easy to find things in new surroundings. Very comfortable beds and sofas. The surrounding area was pretty farmland and not too far from the highway and maybe 40mins outside of Dallas so perfect for us. I’m not sure if there was much around in terms of restaurants but with such a beautiful house we really didn’t want to leave. It was the perfect place to recharge our weary travelling souls and get back on the road…highly highly recommend!
