Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Bywater, New Orleans

I don’t even know where to begin — I’ve been coming to New Orleans for over 20 years, and Margeau’s Airbnb is hands-down the best place I’ve ever stayed. We were two couples and stayed extremely comfortably. The house is beautifully decorated, spotless, and spacious, and it’s in what I consider the perfect location — walkable to everything, with a Whole Foods nearby for anything we needed. We especially loved starting our mornings with coffee and ending our evenings with wine out on the charming front porch. As for the host, Margeau was simply wonderful. She was incredibly responsive to all my (many!) questions before our trip, checked in during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed, and was always available with a great recommendation. Everything you could want in a host, truly. I’m already looking at dates to book again — this is where I’ll stay every time I come to NOLA from now on. Thank you, Margeau and Vince, for making our stay so memorable!

Overall, we had a great experience here. Any questions or concerns were addressed quickly and thoroughly. The place was clean and well stocked. It’s very close to many of the areas we needed to get to, and it felt safe & secure.

Lady's place was amazing. Very clean and beautiful. We felt right at home. Had plenty of room for the 4 of us. You provide your own code to access the residence. She reached out to me, prior to getting to the house, so I even felt the "Southern Hospitality" prior to reaching the residence, even getting into Louisiana. The neighbors were so nice and friendly. We were here for a quick getaway to celebrate my sister's 50th birthday and surprised her with this weekend getaway and Lady's place was in a perfect location to everything. We went to the Jazz festival, took in all the sites, ate all that New Orleans had to offer, and even enjoyed a recommendation offered when I made the reservation (so again "Thank You"). I already know my older sister and none of us will never forget this trip, and have made memories that we'll forever and always cherish.

We had a truly special weekend at the Harlot House. The decor is so beautiful and everyday I noticed a new detail. It wasn’t too noisy on our street and we felt very safe. We had fun going out at night and lounging by the pool during the day. I don’t think I could recommend this place more! The whole team of people that take care of this place were super responsive and helpful, they had some great neighborhood recs for us. Would 100 percent stay there again!

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful home in New Orleans! The house was spotless, spacious, and perfect for our group of eight. There was more than enough room for everyone to relax, play games, and enjoy our time together without ever feeling cramped. The moment you walk in, the home takes your breath away—it’s absolutely stunning. Our host was fantastic—super easy to communicate with and provided tons of helpful tips and information before we even arrived. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a comfortable and stylish stay in NOLA!

Smitti’s home is clean, comfortable and inviting. It is close to the French Quarter, NOMA, and the Besthoff Sculpture Gardens-beautiful!! Easy to Lyft everywhere. Secure property, quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed our down time listening to his record collection and the kitchen was ready for some meals to be cooked there. Great gas station kitchen at the Triangle and across the street too! We would definitely book again with Smitti😃

Brad was a great host. The house was beautiful, neat, clean, had great art and was well-appointed across the board. You definitely get what you see and more. The private patio and back yard were really wonderful. Brad obviously goes out of his way to make sure his guests are taken care of.

Garrett's place was fantastic, extremely high end but reasonably priced. The neighborhood was awesome, 5 minutes from the trolley stop, across the street from City Park for walks, and three blocks away from great restaurants, a grocery and liquor store. The house was clean and very modern from heated bathroom floors, lots of mood lighting, and music system and televisions throughout. It had everything we could have wanted and Garrett was easy and quick with communicating with us and gave us recommendations when we asked for them. Highly recommend staying here.

Came to New Orleans for a wedding and was so happy to find George’s place. Both my kids have pet allergies so I was so happy to hear that his place was not only pet free but he had very high quality air filters! We slept great and enjoyed neighborhood. Can’t wait to come back!

A lovely weekend away in this beautiful home! So full of character and very comfortable with everything we could have needed. Great location and walkable into the French Quarter along the river if you’d like a stroll. Couldn’t have asked for a better base for our first time in NOLA.

This was probably the best airbnb I have ever stayed in. It was huge, clean, and comfortable. The private parking was a giant plus, and the drive to the French Quarter was really short even with traffic. Our host was extremely responsive and very friendly, especially when we requested another night because we loved the place so much. I hope to be able to rent this place again when we return to NOLA!

Darleen was very friendly and hospitable. We were unpleased with a separate airbnb situation across town and needed a new spot quickly. Darleen had us in there in no time and we were very pleased with the experience. Would definitely recommend!

Perfect place, if You (as me) has a conference in nearby University. Very clean, nice garden, nice owner. Public transport nearby. A good coffe at the university 3min away. Please just note, there are almost no groceries or shops or restaurants in short walking distance from house. But interior is very nice and stay was perfect. Andy

I really LOVE this place! It's definitely a hidden gem! It's very cozy, like a tiny house situation and beautiful inside and out. It is walking distance to everything my partner needed for his vlog "Swaganese Travels": Louis Armstrong park was right up the street, the Treme recreation center was right across the street, French Quarter, Gladys Bar over on Saratoga, Riverwalk, Canal Street, Caesar's casino, Caesar's Superdome, Smoothie King Arena, hell, we even took the 1 minute ferry ride to Old Algiers from Riverwalk to a taco bar and walked that area. I've read a few reviews about not walking the area but we're from NYC, we walk from the Bx(Bronx) to BK(Brooklyn) (iykyk) with no problem so walking was cool for us, even at night. The coffee house across the street was a nice situation too, very good people. We were welcomed everywhere we went in the city. P.S. don't pay $10.00 for a slice of pizza in the FQ. The guy clearly told us we were messing up his hustle when we said no thanx 🤣

Its a wonderful, old, quirky space that has been updated and is totally functional and roomy. The location is perfect for access to the various neighborhoods in NOLA. Very close to good restaurants, short walk to the Quarter etc. The C unit is up three flights of stairs (which I missed in the pictures and description) which wasn't really a problem except we had one person in a "boot". Otherwise it was clean and safe, functional and historic. So all in all very nice.

We visited for the Jean Lafitte Seafood Festival, good location, easy to get places without dealing with a bunch of traffic. The pool was amazing. We got in every chance we got in between going to the festival. Very refreshing after being in the sun all day! Fatimah was very helpful and responded very quickly to any questions we had. The cabins are cute and cozy. Perfect for a weekend getaway.

My husand I enjoyed our stay. it was as described. I appreciated the privacy and it was close to where we wanted to be. Fatimah was responsive to questions and helped solve minor issues we had with some of the remote controls. We would definitely stay here again.

This is a great stay away from crowed after going to Mardi Grass. The atmosphere was very pleasing. It's like 31 minutes from Bourbon street

Great place. The house is older and it’s been enjoyed for 20 years by outdoorsmen. Everything you could ever need to clean cook and eat the local fauna is there and it’s in a great spot.

We really enjoyed our stay in Jean Lafitte. The surrounding area felt very safe and secure. We could not get over the beautiful surroundings. My kids had a blast fishing and learning how to use a casting net. Julie was the icing on the cake for this trip. We had a bad storm while we were staying there and she checked on us to make sure we were ok. She made sure we had everything we needed and she even blessed our daughter with a Christmas present. We would love to stay here again!
