“When my wife and I planned a trip to Florida, we wanted to include some things and delete others. It was based on our collective ideas for this two-week jaunt including our stay at a working horse farm. It turned out way better than we could have imagined. Why? Because of a woman named Aleta. (We believe the spelling is correct.) She is the matriarch of this working horse farm and we hit it off from the very start. Aleta pointed out things of interest like the fact that a small building once used to store grain was converted to house guests, including my wife and me. It was cozy, very quiet and played a key part to ensure that we had wonderful time. We did! Thank you, Aleta!!”

“This place was perfect for us. The place was safe and comfortable with a kitchen that allowed us to make breakfast before we headed out for our next adventure. We had our own canoe and were able to use this place as a perfect location for hitting the rivers in the area. Crystal river 1 hour. Weeki Wachee river 30 minutes. Withlacochee river 20 minutes. Rainbow river 1 hour. Anclote river park 1 hour. Chassahowitzka river 30 minutes. There were a lot of hiking trails in the Citrus Wildlife Management Area 20 minutes. We were also able to walk to downtown Brooksville for several eating places.”

“Excellent place to stay. The home is small but very comfortable. Well supplied kitchen and bath (plenty of plates, flatware, towels, shampoo, etc.). The double and single kayaks were a big bonus. We used them several times to explore the river that is steps from the back screened in porch. The screened porch was a wonderful, tranquil place to watch the birds and other wildlife on the river. The home was very clean and appreciated the comfortable beds. The quiet area made for a peaceful night of sleep. We will definitely be back again to explore the area and visit with family.”
