Cabin vacation rentals in Burke

The HideBehind was the perfect weekend getaway! We wanted something peaceful and private close to other parts of Vermont we wanted to visit. Everything about the cabin was perfect, it was clean, had helpful instructions and recommendations, and Scott and his wife were very friendly and welcoming. The hot tub and electric fire were easy to use and made our stay 100% more enjoyable. This is a place I would definitely recommend, and I myself would come back again!

We had a wonderful vacation. The cabin is a true gem in the North East Kingdom. Upon entering the house, fresh flowers decorated the rooms and we found a basket of snacks for us and our dog. Leslie and Matt’s passion for decorating made the house cozy and inviting. The grounds were beautiful. We enjoyed walking through the garden, relaxing on the deck, and walking to the river. The food shopping service Leslie and Matt offer is an added bonus. The cabin is also in a perfect location. There are many great hikes and restaurants close by. The North East Kingdom truly delivered with its scenic woods, spectacular summit views, and gorgeous waterfalls. Plus every meal was amazing. Thank you for your hospitality and making our vacation this year a memorable one! You both were responsive, friendly, and such a help before and during our stay. This vacation was exactly what we hoped for: a relaxing retreat among the trees. I wish we lived closer because I’d be back every year.

My stay is hard to review. Was looking so forward to this weekend getaway but was battle tested with sickness and terrible weather. Nothing bad to say about the listing just bad timing making it hard to fully enjoy. I would highly recommend this stay otherwise as it was definitely capable of providing what I had wanted. Had a wonderful stay at Bear cabin. We went for a quick getaway to relax and unwind . It was peaceful and the surroundings were beautiful. We enjoyed the hot tub, the swings on the front porch as well as a fire in the fire pit . We were lucky enough to have seen two bald eagles nearby at the lake . Would highly recommend and hopefully will be able to return again.

This is our 2nd time staying at Adley's and once again I gotta say what a peaceful worthwhile escape. A great location and a very beautiful home. It is just as described and then some!

We had a lovely and relaxing stay. The cabin and surrounding property are beautiful, and Evangelyn was a wonderful host. If you’re looking for a peaceful, “home away from home” getaway, this is just the place.

My girlfriend and I went to Vermont for a wedding and had a great time, this cabin was great for the two of us to have space away from all the busy events of the wedding and relax. The hot tub was amazing and it was very secluded. Pay close attentions to the drive in instructions, the road referenced in that section of this Airbnb's page is definitely not for a car and is very narrow.

We go up to the New Hampshire/Vermont area twice a year for the last three years, and this cabin has been our absolute favorite! It is perfectly secluded which allowed us to rest and recharge as well as give our two dogs the space they needed to roam and play. We loved having the option of going down to the river and admiring the small waterfall. The Bear Bungalow off to the side of the cabin was the perfect place just to admire the forest and river. The cabin was quiet and comfortable, and there were some great local options for eating within 15-20 minutes. There were also some epic trails for us and our dogs to go on, and we ended up doing almost 20 miles in less than three days. I can go on and on and on about how amazing this cabin is, but I think you should just book it yourself to find out on our own. We will absolutely be back next year!

We absolutely adored our stay at the cabin. It is idyllic inside and out! It was amazing to come home to after a day of exploring. The bed was super comfortable and the highlight for us was watching VHS on the TV with snacks. It is so well equipped and cosy, also enjoyed a lovely bath in the claw foot tub. Just perfect for a rustic, cosy stay in nature. A highlight for me was stepping outside at night and listening to (I assume they were) frogs!! They were so loud and it was incredible to hear them, the trees were also surrounded by fireflies (I’d never seen them before!) and I’ll always remember that perfect moment of peace. Thank you for making our 10 year anniversary so memorable with such a lovely place to stay, if you’re thinking of it for a special occasion or just as a base to explore this adorable region of Vermont, look no further :) thank you!

The cabin was absolutely perfect for us. The dogs were able to be unleashed… of course they were under voice control, but they were happy. And so were we. Definitely relaxing, clean, and quiet. Nice place! Views were extraordinary!

Cute cabin on a quiet street but close enough to nearby Lincoln and Littleton. Nicely laid out and plenty of space for a family of 6 and a dog. Henry was quick to respond and communicate with.

We loved this sweet cabin overlooking Curtis Pond. Great screened in porch, well-stocked kitchen, games, barbecue and fire pit. A great spot to relax and take advantage of VT summer.

Great little cabin for a weekend stay for my wife and I and our dog. Easy access to town for necessities and close to several local breweries. Would definitely stay here again.

Claudia’s cabin was exactly as described- a private little cabin in the woods. The house was adorable, cozy, and close enough to Stowe for skiing (about 25 mins to base). The only minor issues I had were the use of the beautiful soaking tub (unusable due to water pressure/temperature), the temperature of the first floor bathroom( cold), and the amount of dog hair throughout. Disclaimer, I travel with my non-shedding dog so I’m not used to seeing dog hair on my clothing, and perhaps it was the previous renter who had a long haired shedding dog, but it was everywhere- couch, beds, cozy chairs, floor. Came home with hair covered clothing. There’s a sign by the door that says “no outfit is complete without dog hair”! These issues were not enough to complain to Claudia about, because as I mentioned - minor- everything else was spot on. She even had snacks in the fridge. Do bring extra toilet paper and paper towels if you book. I couldn’t find any. Otherwise, great stay.

Dayna is a great host and the cabin is a worthwhile trip!! It is so affordable and the cost is well worth the views outside the cabin. It’s a cozy getaway and the perfect vacation spot for two. Highly recommend!

I liked "The Hamblett" so much I went back for another week. It is so quiet yet close to town and many points of interest. I had the pleasure of talking to Cindy and she was wonderful. I'm sure I will be back. Probably sooner than later.

This is my second time staying at this Airbnb. We had a group of 8 mountain bikers with a mix of 2 married couples along with singles and this house was great for our group. Plenty of beds and bathrooms. The bike storage shed was also an added bonus. The weather was a bit rainy but we were able to enjoy one night at the fire pit out front. The location is fantastic for riding the Trail network at Kingdom Trails. You can ride right out of the driveway to a trail and are also a short ride to a darling hill or the trails at East Haven. We will be coming back.

Love this place. Besides a brief issue with having the wrong door code when we first arrived, which was fixed quickly, this cabin and our weeklong stay were utterly perfect. The cabin itself is lovely, very comfortable, and very functional as a home base for exploring or a place to work remotely from. The best and most unique feature is that it is literally right on the river. Nothing like looking out back and just having a perfect postcard view. We even had an early summer weather preview and took a dip! All in all, great location, very easy check in and out, and awesome full featured cabin. Will look to stay again next time we’re in town.

The place was cozy, clean, and well set up. Its on a beautiful property, well back back from the road. Her clear and reasonable instructions made it easy to relax. She highlighted a great restaurant 3 minutes away.

We had a minor glitch at checkin, but Doreen responded immediately and the problem was resolved within minutes! This is our third visit at this home and probably won’t be our last. The sound of the river is so soothing, the home is so comfortable and the yard is expansive. Great for multiple generations.

Our group had such a great trip! The house had everything we needed to enjoy a relaxing long weekend away, despite the rain for most of the trip. We loved walking the property, sounds of the river, having s’mores by the fire, and catching a glimpse of moose less than a mile from the house! The record collection was such a nice touch, and there was something for everyone. The kids loved playing in the basement, we did a puzzle, and had everything we needed to cook out on the grill.
