Had a fabulous (and alas, all-too-brief) stay at this architectural gem, located in a quiet and tranquil setting just a few minutes from the centre of Owen Sound. Sim was a wonderful host -- communicative and with lots of tips for things to see and do in the district. We aim to return as soon as possible!

This was our second stay at this home in Desboro. It is the perfect retreat - quiet, space, an extremely cozy (but not small) home. We were happy to be there in a snow storm with a fire, snowshoes, and pingpong!

We spent 2 weekend nights at this beautiful house in August. My husband said for him, it was the highlight of our trip to Tobermory. The place itself is warm, cozy, and truly full of charm and character. We were greeted by Reg, who was very kind and friendly. He helped us with various helpful directions and inputs. He also taught us the game of Crokinole which we played for multiple rounds and shared stories and laughs while at it. I will highly recommend this place and would love to be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Joanne’s cottage. It was super peaceful and very cozy. A great place to get away from it all. Joanne was very helpful in checking in on us and was willing to help in any way she could to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The enclosed back garden was also great for our dog and our little kids. All in all we had a wonderfully relaxing stay and would happily go back again.

It was an absolutely wonderful place, perfect to relax and if you want to spend a wonderful evening at a campfire this is perfect

This is my 5th time staying at the Friendly Owl! Teresa and Sahand have such a wonderful little haven in Lions Head. Excellent breakfasts, a comfortable bed and a large outdoor space with hammocks and a fire pit. Less than a ten minute drive to the Lions Heads loop trail head. Always a pleasure to come back!

Great place to get-away and relax with family of 4. Beautiful views of the lake surrounded by nature. Very friendly and quiet community. Would come back again for a stay. Andrea great at communicating and prompt responses.

Devan and Taylor, Thank You very much - we had a great family mini-vacation! From booking of the place to us leaving, communications were great, quick and clear. Location is great, 10-minute drive from center of Owen Sound, walkable to the nearest grocery store, many things to do nearby and in the area. The house itself is in a very private area, between trees with a beautiful view from a hill to the field and forest. Very quiet with millions of stars above at night. The house feels recently renovated, clean, fresh, very well equipped for daily family life. We enjoyed every moment of staying here, felt really like home. We are definitely looking to come back!

We really appreciated our stay at Darren place! He was very friendly, we bought some amazing meat from his farm. The cabin was very nice, we spent a great time there with my friends. Thank you so much 🙌

"I recently stayed at Nicole's farm, and it was an incredible experience! Despite arriving late at night, Nicole was extremely helpful and sent me detailed pictures to guide me to the cabin, making it easy to find. She responded quickly to all my questions and concerns, and the trailer I stayed in was spotless. The next morning, I took a walk around the farm and was treated to a breathtaking sunrise. Later, I had the pleasure of chatting with Nicole and her husband—they were so friendly and welcoming. I also had a wonderful time with their dog, Ocean, and got to see their horses, pig, and cat. It was such a peaceful and relaxing stay, and I will definitely be visiting again next summer!"

My stay was incredible, the house is perfect and the hosts were very kind and helpful. I was hoping to go to a farm and see some animals and they recommended another property they have, it was a little tricky to find, but in the end it was so worth it. Thank you for the experience

One of the best stays we've ever experienced! Alex and Dixie were super responsive, and very accommodating with our very last minute additions to our trip. From the moment we arrived at the property, we felt safe, comfortable and welcomed. Alex and Dixie were proactive in making sure we could contact them when needed and ensured that we checked in and out easily. Lots of entertainment provided on site, and multiple hang out spots throughout the house. As the 13 year old said, "the beds were super comfy", and it's definitely hard to impress a 13 year old. Would recommend to anyone who wants a farmhouse experience with a large group of friends/family - a stunning home that has that personal touch you want during your stay.

Our group really enjoyed our stay, the pond was great and the cottage had everything you could need. Catherine was very accommodating and responsive

Susan is wonderful host! She was always available for any query and issue for whole period of our stay and even before that! This AirBnB is at very quite place and you can emus and horses almost everytime right from your living room window! Beds were so comfy that i would like to buy same for my home!!!! Only unfortunate thing happened that we stayed there for tobermory trip but at wrong timings when it was a rainstorm there. Still it was great to do overnight stay at Susan's place. When we entered then it was clean and felt so fresh! Thanks Susan for everything and also grateful to letting us extend our check out time which was so needed after tiring rainy day at tobermory!

This place was perfect for our boys curling team. We were able to come and go, make meals and rest comfortably. It’s nice to have a place with multiple parking spots.

Elisa was a gracious and welcoming host. Very responsive and flexible; accommodated us with a late check-out which made our final morning that much more relaxing. The spa (a modest extra cost) was beautiful and very relaxing - far exceeded expectations! A great location in Grey Highlands

We had the most wonderful stay at the Hideaway farm with Ingrid, Scott and their three most gentle dogs. It is a beautiful place to calm down, relax and take in the stunning nature. Ingrid is such a lovely host, giving great hiking and food tips and just making us feel welcome in her warm and gorgeous home. Like many said before, Ingrid's breakfast was a highlight each day, especially the oat meal ;) We definitily recommend staying at the farm and we'd love to be back some day :)

We had the best time here. Huge farmland, only 2 mins drive from the town of Tara. Christina was so kind she offered to extend our checkout time until noon without being asked. Everything was clean, comfortable beds, no noise, we slept very soundly. We would easily stay here again.

This is going to be my all time fav place to stay. Basement is super fun for whole family. All amenities available. We had a total fun. Philip is so quick resposive and flexible to checkin as we requested early checkin. Beautiful place just 20 mins away from Tobormory.

Janine's home and property is absolutely stunning! In the area for a wedding our group of 8 felt right at home and there is way more room than we needed. Bedrooms and all living areas are spacious and spotless, everyone complemented me for booking this space. We couldn't have asked for better hosts as they went above and beyond what I would expect. Our only regret was that we didn't book another night. PS. The sunrise from the back deck is perfect

The Shamrock Cottage was an absolute pleasure to stay at. As a group of around 20, we were extremely comfortable in the home and were provided everything we needed. Angus was a wonderful, responsive host. If you're familiar with cottages or farm house living, this property is no different and you can expect some of the fun quirks that come with that type of property. It was very clean when we arrived and the place was larger than the pictures made it seem even! Our group was happy to be able to stay and wished we could have stayed longer! Thank you very much to the team behind this property, 5/5 all around!

We had a lovely stay at this place in Owen Sound! The location was perfect — peaceful, yet close to everything I needed. The space itself was cozy and welcoming, making it easy to relax and feel at home. The host was incredibly friendly and helpful, which really added to the experience. The only minor issue was the water pressure in the bathroom, which was a bit low, but it didn’t take away from the overall great stay. I’d definitely recommend this place and would be happy to return!
