“Went for a quick get away from the city and it was everything we hope for and more! We felt right at home the moment we arrived. Petsy's daughter, Susan, was helping host and she was so warm and shared some amazing stories about the area, and the history. The home is so cozy but also has some fun gadgets! We visited the winery next door and had such a lovely time. This is the perfect country get away. If you get a chance don't miss an opportunity tl stay here!”
TimberWend is a great get-away offering an unparalleled escape. It borders the Shenandoah National Park and overlooks one of the park's least visited waterfalls, Greasy Falls. It has a spectacular fifty-mile view on a clear day and the closest neighbor is one-half mile away.
“This was a fantastic AIRBNB experience. Bess is a great host. She replies instantly and has created a very welcoming environment at this cabin. Various breakfast items are waiting for you and the kitchen has everything you need to cook whatever you want. Plenty of firewood, towels, detergent, laundry soap etc, etc...Fire pit is just down the road. Wifi is decent for browsing and email. Tv and dvd player provided as well as a bunch of movies. No tv channels though. Bess provides local tips including hiking trails of which there is one to a waterfall right on the property. Road to cabin is a little rough. Sports or cars with low ground clearance not recommended. I liked the road as I feel it is part of the experience of staying in this area. All in all a great stay and I hope to return. Thanks Bess!”

“Great cabin as a woman traveling alone felt really safe especially since you can close the gate and it is in a neighborhood though you would not know it. The claw foot tub heated floors gazebo porch and quaint decorations and layout really made my two night stay so relaxing. And being able to hike from the cabin is a huge plus !”
